Yea one of my homies went from med-surg to ICU. Its been about 3 years now since the transition and she is doing travel assignments. Ive thought about ICU because of the pay. I would want to do orientation first though
Same it's a nice break from bedside. And honestly, just consistently doing them. What I learned from hard sticks is to double tourniquet them if they have more body mass. For those who have very surface veins, put the tourniquet higher up so they don't blow. Hope that helps
@1babygirlg lol yeah you'll see more inpatient, and really get to practice your IV skills. I actually ended up leaving that job in the video and got offered a better position to learn more in cardiac imaging.

Yeah, I shadowed down in the ICU, and it just wasn't for me. The lines and different pumps were just overwhelming to me lol

@zurikakenney12 a year as well but I'm looking to go inpatient periop soon. That's as far as I'll go inpatient lol
