The last corner incident seemed deliberate to me. He had every reason to stay to the left and plenty of room so there was no need to move to the right.
That's interesting buddy. I think to be honest my view is he just didn't pay enough attention to the fact I was alongside. The line out of that corner takes you back into the middle of the track - you can see the rubbered in line is darker. But you can't just drift there if someone is alongside, otherwise it's a big shunt....as it was sadly!!
@@AddedSugar9 This would be a waste of everybody's time to report. If he has a small monitor and a shitty fov, he might not have seem Ben. Clearly the Porsches fault but nothing more than a race incident. People make mistakes.
Really unfortunate at the last corner, lad. You played it perfectly. I don’t think it was deliberate by Stewart, just a bit careless. He’s having to move to the right to get back on track before the kerb runs out, but then he just naturally keeps moving right. He would have known you were there, so he should have stayed left once back on track. But it can be difficult to realise you’re slightly drifting right from the cockpit view in the heat of battle. Even more unluckily for you… you’re continuing to move right as well to give him EVEN MORE room! You really couldn’t have done much else, sadly. Great race!
Cheers Chris! Yeah just one of those things I think - I was so pleased at the time with the last corner move, but the sim racing gods give, and they take away!! 😭😭
Love your vids Ben. I’ve just started racing gt3’s for the last few weeks. My irating is still too high for my pace so starting towards the back in all my races. Hopefully I’ll be in the right split soon so I can actually battle people instead of just hanging on. Racing has been pretty clean so far tbf, that might change once I’m up to speed 😂
Ah cheers mate appreciate it. Yeah the split between sports car and formula has been a real god send for me, as I’m slower in tin tops. Means I’ve now settled at a solid iR and tend to get competitive races most weeks. Good luck with it!
Great race, Ben. I was hoping this would be the race where Jackyboy Racing started behind you and nearly took you out in T1 L1, because I was in that race as well. Decided to join him on his stream day. 😆 I finished P2 there with a flawless run. No incidents is like milking unicorns for me.
Haha that race wasn’t too eventful alas - although I didn’t realise it was Jackyboy who nearly hit me…it all happened rather quickly!! 😂 Great that you scored such a good result buddy - got to enjoy those when they come along!!
Hey Ben I love your comentary on your races. I had two races this week at Road America in the Fanatec GT3 series. First race was going extremely well then got taken out but an idiot driver lost 40IR. 2nd race started p8 finished p6 and gained 46IR that's a win for me.
I am Jamie Dee ,was rare for me to loose it all on my own ,I'm normally involved in incidents with other cars,it's been a terrible week for me dropped 500 ir at RA That incident at the end is terrible and such a shame after u raced very well Just as well you had chat muted because I tend to go on a bit 😅,I held the brakes and 9 cars got got round me no problem and the 10th smashed me to peices
Tough racing, but Stewart at the end kept moving right and did a classic "pit manouver", not intentional though, just a bit of fore thought needed as he had space to his left.. Shame as some really good battles there.
Ah you think so buddy? I think it was more careless than deliberate, as there’s no sudden change of direction. Not to say it couldn’t have been avoided, but I think it was a mistake rather than malice.
For me the Stewart incident looks more deliberate then careless of him, because 1) he knew you were there, 2) you were a half car length ahead, so he already saw you after your overtake, 3) you gave him more than enough space on track, and 4) after you struggled to get to the finish line he even dares to overtake you and finishes in front of you. Who would do that after a careless fault after the last corner?
I was just racing against Jamie Dee last night. There was some drama issues in the race and he was complaining. It was pretty amusing. Good to know I am in your racing bracket and I could potentially race against you!
Once you were straightened up. You probably should have moved over to the right side of the track. But hind sight is always 20/20. Other then that, great set up for the last turn pass.
Clumsy from Stewart that. You had enough overlap to be visible so that shouldn't be an excuse. Perhaps you could have given more space to protect yourself there but that incident is definitely not on you.
Cheers David - I did wonder whether I could have been further right but honestly it didn't occur to me that I'd need to leave even more margin. A shame!
I don’t think that last incident was deliberate. I’ve accidentally done the same to people before, it’s quite easy to do when you’re on a single screen.
Ha because I’m daft! No but more seriously I’ve been trying to get to grips with it for a few weeks this season (failed entirely at a wet Mugello!). Likely will switch to the Corvette for the last weeks of the season to see how that is.

100%, i would have report that in an instant.
@@AddedSugar9 Racing incident at best. Wouldn't say it was intentional.

Favorite iracing streamer. Love these vids man. Format is awesome.
@@jambo927 ah thanks so much man - really appreciate the kind words. Should be a video coming from either GT3, TCR or IndyCar this week 👀
Great race, Ben! Some really good scraps there. Action packed!
Interesting finish to the race, to say the least.
Thanks buddy! Yeah obviously a disappointing finish but brill to have such close racing throughout!

Gahhh brutal finish there. Hate seeing that. Fun race overall though!
Ha yep that sums up my thoughts too! Good thing is once the feeling of being bummed out by the finish passes the race as a whole was really enjoyable!

100% deliberate

Yeah I tend to agree buddy - especially coming off that kind of kerb / run off area. Onwards to the next one!
What a heart breaker 💔

He took you out!
Ha well yes on one level I suppose he did. But I tend to think it was an accident rather than a deliberate kill. Just one of those things!
nah bro, he did it on purpose! Report him lmao
Last corner, just clumsy, silly error from the other driver. Real life, 5 second penalty. 🤣
😂😂
Ban him for life I say
