This gave me the confidence to fix the velocity on one of my keys on my G-800. Worked perfectly!

I used this keyboard for 8 years and then I bought the Korg Pa80, but it is a very nice device, it has a great sound for those who love the 90s.

Some backlight advice: you could desolder the original two metal backlight contacts and snip them, cover them with insulating tape like Kapton tape and slide in the new backlight and resolder. That is if the backlight is thin enough to fit. This way you don't have to life the glass and rubber contacts away from the circuit board and risk those lines appearing. But in addition to that you have to put the metal bezel back in exactly the same place with even pressure. Another alternative is an led upgrade high contrast display.
There was no place for the replacement CFL panel light..anyway it was dead in 6 months..I replaced the whole LCD with a modern LED backlit one..perfect fit, pin to pin, just a little soldering..now it's better then the factory! Thanks!

Nice work 😉! I have G600 and have the same problem, The lower button and number 8 does not work. Can you please explain to me how did you replaced them? How did you made them working just the spray? Thank you
Spray wasn't enough..so I replace some of them, how much I had, the others I opened and clean it with fine sandpaper and fix it back the top.

Backlight module gives little light the cause could be the 47n capacitor and if I change it to 22n will it solve the problem?
Not at all, this particular keyboard had a strange ''whistle'' form the high voltage inverter, so changing the capacitor made the sound lower. You can't improve the old style cold cathode backlight, when it's gone ...it's gone, the same principal like fluorescent tubes. The single way is to change whole display with modern LED backlight. Check my other videos about it.

I don't recommend to change only the backlight.The ones you can get from the market are getting loss in half year. Better buy a new LED LCD display and you are done for the rest of the years! Check the description for a source.
A verry risky repair of the display, the way you open up de display for replacing the el foil can ruin your display.
Just slide the new foil in front of the old foil and let the old foil in his place, no risk than of distroying the display.

I use to slide a cuted old foil in form of knife under the foil to remove, to cut the glue, before trying to remove the damaged foil. Never detached the display fom the board. Very risky...

I am still urgently looking for this highlighter. Honestly, I haven't stripped it down yet and I don't even know the dimensions of the backlight that I should be looking for.
@@IreneuszKopczynski-wv5un I really can't help you with another link or source...I'll try to replace with a modern one, LED lighted but I need some time to have one and experiment..anyway , the backlight I replaced is not so great, less luminosity then original...maybe something like this www.aliexpress.com/item/4000154898509.html

I think there should be a memory storage unit on the motherboard of this device I don't know if we can increase it and the solder wires are consumed too much.

Original backlight it's cold catode , CFL lamp.The one I got first doesn't last more than 6 months, that's why I suggest buying a new model LCD with LED lights best option. It will last forever.
