I got three songs right. I guessed "Strawberry Fields" between 0:32 & 0:34 in 2 seconds.
The first song was "Twist & Shout" and the final tenth song was the easiest to guess just from the word "yesterday"
Bruh I got tricked, it played two seconds of All things must pass and I was like "hmm that sounds like all things must pass but that wouldn't be a Beatles song"

For me the correct answer would be the Abbey Road side 2 medley, I regard it all as one thing.

The whole Abbey Road second side medley seems to be lumped under “You Never Give Me Your Money” in this quiz. It won’t let me enter titles for the individual tracks such as “Polythene Pam”, “Mean Mister Mustard”, “Golden Slumbers”, etc. They just aren’t in the quiz’s database of songs. When I got clips which were certainly from “She Came in ...”, the correct answer turned out to be “You Never Give ...”
I would kill to see Paul or Ringo play this! Please, God, let this be a real video... 🙏
My guess is neither would do as well as their diehard fans. They’ve spent way way less time listening to their own music.

For really serious Beatles fans that have been listening to their songs for almost 60 years, 2 seconds is really a lot of time. Your original video was tougher. But I have to admit the Abbey Road medley is sometimes difficult and I missed it just like you did.
Me too! I kept shouting, "Golden Slumbers" not "Carry That Weight" -- but also tend to listen to AR, or at least the medley "side" in total. I don't think I'm alone in that one!

Honestly, the lyrics challenge is much harder than the audio one. When they give you a word like “girl” or “love” it could be half the catalog…

It's amazing how much better at this I was than the one-second version. My brain just doesn't process things fast enough for that. Two seconds is much more doable. Granted, it helped that they used very identifiable parts of the song.
Came to say exactly this. On the 1 second quiz, I got about half. These, I got about 50 in a row on the site.
With two seconds it's more likely that you'll hear a snippet of words that you recognize. With the one second version it was sometimes guessing based on the rhythmic feel.
The only one that threw me was the "You Never Give Me Your Money" bit. As soon as it was wrong, I knew it was Carry That Weight. I listened to the early songs about as much as the later ones so something like I Should Have Known Better was no problem.

Having grown up with the Beatles, I figuratively inhaled every song and album from beginning to end. As presents in Christmas, 1963, I received Meet the Beatles and a Stella guitar. I know their early stuff is being examined more in 2022. The evolution of these young men from a Liverpudlian band to mythic proportions is amazing.
Loved the video! This is definitely going to be a site I show my family, we've all been huge Beatles fans over the years. I was surprised at how well I did playing along, the only one I couldn't get was #8.
Shame that the creator passed it on to another team and that team removed free play, the creator did say that the tem will be adding back free play “in the future”

I got all of them except for a couple, so I'm pretty happy with that. The quiz playing the "You Never Give Me Your Money" section of "Carry That Weight" was awfully deceptive, wasn't it?
This is just like something I used to do with my brother a couple years ago. He'd play a bunch of Beatles songs from Spotify and I had to name them just from hearing the intros. I got so many of them right, it made him mad!
They removed freeplay :(

This was a lot of fun to play along with, I do feel like the titles being sung in the clip is a bit of a giveaway but it's still a really fun way to test your knowledge of Beatles songs
There is also Heardle, which is the same thing, but with many different kind of songs, not just Beatles.
Yes and there are also Heardles for specific artistst. For example Radiohead, david bowie, bon iver, phoebe bridgers. If you google a bit you can probably find them (and more)
There's also Songpop, I've been playing it on and off for some years. Besides the ads and the bots it can be a really fun experience for music lovers.

I ran a Trivia night once and one of the categories was “backwards Beatles”. 10 second clips of Beatles songs played backwards.

At the end of the 1970's I lived in Mexico city. My cousin (4 years older than me and around 14 yo at the time) and a friend of his (same age) participated in a Mexican TV contest. This contest asked difficult questions on a topic of the choice of the contestants. Every correct answer got you the possibility of earning double the previous amount, starting with the first at only 64 Mexican Pesos and ending at 64,000 (big money at the time). My cousin and friend chose precisely the topic of identifying songs by The Beatles by listening also to about 2 second fragments. They reached 32,000 pesos (!), but on that day the TV show actually came to an end without them being able to go for the final 64,000. Nonetheless, that was a clear precursor of all this! :-D

Clearly you know your Beatles. I thought I knew a lot of their lesser known songs but apparently not and you got them straight away.
Professional level Beatles game. Play the last 3 seconds of a Beatles song and you have to guess the next song on the album.
Even better , reverse the silence at the end of a song, guess the next song and the lead singer 😄😆
I did about as well as you did. I did pick up the reprise of You Never Give Me Your Money because in the part of it that is used in Carry That Weight they use an instrumental which doesn't appear in the original.
I love this so much but it they changed recently taking out the other challenge and removing unlimited mode.
It's such a shame because I really enjoyed playing both those modes so much :(

I guess if it's random, you'd be more likely to get a snippet of the chorus, since it repeats and takes up the most run time, typically. Which your playthrough also sort of seemed to suggest. Of course the chorus also often contains the song title.
I'd imagine they might pick the daily challenges manually.

I also got all 10 easily, but then I've been listening to ALL The Beatles songs for 50 years, not just the later ones. I wouldn't have thought you'd be stumped by a song from A Hard Day's Night. I thought the Carry That Weight clue, actually both clues, were a little bit sneaky, playing the melody of a totally different song and all. Much, much easier than the 1 second version of the game.

I was playing this awhile ago and forgot about it until I watched your video. I don't think they have free play any more nor the lyric game, at least from what I could find. You only get a daily song and the bonus if you share your score

I love A Hard Day's Night album, know all those songs so well.
I guessed all these successfully, except for the Carry That Weight fakeout. The instant it was revealed it wasn't You Never Give Me Your Money I realized what had happened. It's one of the only instances of a proper reprise in a Beatles song (along with the She Loves You reference in All You Need is Love).
Most of that is way too easy. Love the Carry That Weight trickery. I do struggle a lot more with the other 'can you name' videos and kick myself when I get the answer.

Kenny Everett used to do this on Capitol Radio in the 70’s - but he only played the First Note! I got them all including “Yes it is”, flip side to “Ticket to Ride”. Try that.
Just barely beat you by getting I Should've Known Better, they got me with Carry That Weight as well. You should listen to A Hard Day's Night more often, it's a perfect pop album imo.
I got them all except for the You Never Give Me Your Money/Carry That Weight curve ball. Beadle is infinitely easier than David's nano-second Beatle challenge from last year.

Your comment on "Don't Let Me Down" being a live version is kinda funny when you think about it. The version on Let It Be was a live version (the rooftop show) and that was the only live show they did while that song existed.
Yeah, I realised that after I said it! I wonder whether the version in the Beadle game is the original mix or the Let It Be Naked version
@@DavidBennettPiano Did some exploring... it's definitely not the Let It Be Naked version as the vocals from the first 10 seconds of the game don't match. In Let it Be Naked, the harmonies start right off the bat and John changes the melody slightly in the second line which matches the first take of the rooftop concert. The version on the game and in the original Spector mix was recorded two days prior to the rooftop concert and starts with John singing solo for the first couple of lines so I guess it wasn't a live version.
Who's seen that old video of Jack White naming Beatles songs in one [or two] note[s]? No doubt the unmentioned inspiration for this video and this game.

I tried it, and one of the song segments was 2 seconds of silence from the end of the song! Thankfully when you miss once it gives you a chunk from somewhere else in the song. Definitely not enough songs from the earlier albums. I've done 35 songs and only one from Meet and none from For Sale.

Dear Mr. Dave.....you could easily get down the Beatles early catalogue in about two weeks. Two or three listens to each album, repeat for week two, and you'll have most of it down. This stuff is easy to remember, probably because it's well done enough to BE memorable. By well done I mean these are good songs, at the very least, and a lit of great ones that are classics, the ones you already know. Songs like No reply, I'll be back, and It's only love, I'll get you, this boy, and especially I feel fine and babys in black and I don't want to spoil the......well you get my drift. Also, the night before.....
I got them all. I got Carry That Weight on the second try. I also thought it was You Never Give Me Your Money at first. The melodies to both songs are the same.
