Alright, so here's the thing with Alucard as a girl. This series's VA for Alucard, Takahata101, had asked his sister to do the voice for Girlycard. She did such a great job, it creeped him out and he asked her not to do anything like that again.

He couldn't even be in the same room with her whenever she did the voice. She was THAT good at it.

Girlycard is voiced by Takahata's sister, Montyglu. She's a very good voice actor, and runs a Dungeons and Dragons campaign, which Takahata played a character in, and Lanipator occasionally swung by as a guest player.
In case you missed it, when Ze Major said "You're in ze splash zone", Alucard said, very rapidly, "Yeah, I'm gettin' balls like a Smurf, here". He was very excited to be fighting Walter.
No one is prepared for The Captain making *that* sound. The first time I heard it, I was stunned for a bit before I busted out laughing! That gruff grumble, and *that* sound comes out of his mouth? Dafuq?!
Alucard as a girl is the single greatest thing I ever saw. She is played by the sister of Alucard's voice actor in Japanese. She did such a phenomenal job.
Yeah, and here Takahata101's sister voiced Girlycard.
I didn't know that was the case in the Japanese version as well.

In the original Japanese, Alucard sounds the same the whole time.
Takahata101's sister (aka, MontyGlu) also DM's a live-play D&D stream with him and his buds called the Unexpectables. Taka sadly had to leave the game (to become a VTuber, of all things), but they're still going strong with their second campaign.

I know he is a Nazi, but The Captain (Werewolf guy) is so cool! His powers are insane and his motives are actually mysterious. He spares Henikle and lets Seras kill him.
He spares her because he never wanted to fight for Millenium in the 1st place notice how he wears an AfriKorps uniform instead of the conventional SS outfit
In my mind the Captain isn't even a Nazi he just a reluctant slave that wanted to die

And in case you thought he was any kind of saint, one of manga covers (Ch. 77) identfy him as participant of Malmedy massacre.
He was essentially for the Nazis what Anderson was for the Vatikan and Alucard is for Hellsing...every faction had a nigh immortal juggernaut on their side.
The Captain is also one of the coolest designs in the series with his cap and the tendancy to casually strike badass poses (like when he catches Walter's wires or when he shoots Heinkel in the face)...and for a character who doesn't say a single word his demeanor is very telling about his character, like you could tell that he didn't really want to kill and fight.
He just wanted to die, hence he sought a viable opponent and kicked her right into the room with an abundance of silver...he easily had the most glorious death too, I mean who else literally kicks a missile?

Now you know where Walter got the idea about paid vacation days when sending Alucard to (ironically) Brazil.
I don't think it's ironic, I think it's a hint that Walter went to make a deal with the Nazi all those years ago, a deal that the Nazi finally fulfilled just now. So the reason both Walter and Alucard went to Brazil is that they were both looking for Nazis.
@@ArkayjiyaI always thought they made the deal in ep 5. Since when the captain catches his wires they both still seem hostile. I think it's more likely they convinced Walter to join them for the chance of fighting Alucard one last time at that moment
To clarify: Walter came the CLOSEST to killing Alucard besides Anderson. But the surgery they performed was unstable and his body was de-aging/self destructing. If his body was stable, he may have ACTUALLY been abpe to kill Alucard in the state he was in
I mean I'm not sure he'd have been able to. Alucard misdirected Walter by using Luke as a distraction. Had he just pierced Walter's heart instead of punching him and toying with him because Walter was clearly in pain and de-aging, Alucard would still have won the fight. Also he could have used the technique he uses next episode at any moment, he just didn't feel the need to do it before because he didn't feel threatened yet. Walter really had no shot at this.
@@Arkayjiya remember the fight ended faster than it probably would have if he Schrodinger didn't get involved, plus God disintegrated most of his souls other than Luke since he was in the dog.
No, Anderson definitely got closer because the divine smite effect was mass murdering his trapped souls. Even if Walter had the perfect young body forever, it would take literally days of nonstop killing Alucard to burn through his lives.
@@philliparnesen4493 you don't seem to get the difference between "did the most damage" and "came closest to killing". Anderson did most damage, but Walter came closest to killing. I honestly think he had a shot at this, but failed to succeessfully take it.
@@MrVarder In the context of Alucard, "did most damage" and "came closest to killing" are the exact same thing. There is no way to kill Alucard without killing him for each life he has trapped in him.

I've always loved the whole Girlycard vs. Young Walter part, but despite all the hilarious jokes, I think my favorite part is actually Walter getting frustrated and demanding to know why Alucard can't take this seriously, only for Alucard to respond "Because that's what you want!" Showing that for all that Alucard is seemingly playing around and not taking this seriously, he is actually still super pissed at Walter. He's acting this way to get back at him.

Not gonna lie: The flashback about Integra finding Alucard is one of my favorite moments in the series, both the original and the abridged.
Also, you're probably wondering about Walter's age reversing, since it's never actually brought up in the abridged proper. TL;DR Rushed vampire surgery thing. Not terribly important, but maybe something that would cross your mind, especially when it's at it's peak in the next episode.
Fun reaction as always, and looking forward to the finale.

Pip is now and forever a part of Seras. So technically he's not dead-dead, but he is bound to Seras. I didn't quite get the purpose or punch of the high pitched scream by the werewolf guy, but it was funny.
Also Luke Valentine techincally outlasted all of Milleniums underlings minus the doctor.
the high pitched scream? We're talking a big tough looking guy who has done nothing but grunt this whole time, and in his final moments, a moment of joy, he cries out in it, and it's just a total 180 of the low voiced tough guy having a high pitched squeal of joy.
It was just a joke on the fact that he never spoke. The joke was not that he had nothing to say but was very embarrassed by his voice.
First time I realized "Alucard" smiling like that when Walter kills him is because he's Luc, who is Millennium, and that's how they smile when they die in this episode.

I still can't get over the fight scenes here, from Alucard vs Walter as music from the Anime plays in the background, and Seras and Pip vs the Werewolf as Rob Zombie's Werewolf Baby! Goes off in the background
I always liked how they slyly let you know just how long Walter as been working for the Major - in the flashback part Integra mentions that Walter was on vacation in Brazil....
It will always be my belief that Integra killing her uncle was actually the only way it could have ended, because Alucard literally couldn't do it. He is bound to serve the Hellsing family of which Richard is a member after all. Consider how he deals with Richard's goons without a second thought.
Also your reactions to this were amazing and I'm sad we're already approaching the end.
girl alucard is probably my favorite thing in this series, mostly cus it just lets him be more unhinged. and it gets better in episode 10

It definitely is... It's from episode 10 of the original anime when Integra is being operated on to save her life after Carmilla attacked her and tried to turn her...

That was from the ACTUAL show. But yeah, he was just happy to have a gloryful death. As that was the reason they set out and did all of this mayhem to begin with.
The reason why The Captain made that laugh at 19:10 is because he wanted to die otherwise Seras would have no hope of defeating him as canonicaly not even Alucard wants to fight him
Well, Alucard was fine fighting him. He compares him to Anderson, but also sees him as a Monster. If Walter had died sooner and what happened next didn't happen... He probably would've dealt with the Captain himself.
A cannon fires cannonballs and doesn't refer to the canon of a story so canonically speaking the word cannonicaly doesn't exist.
yea the captain deliberately brought seras to that room where he knew she would eventually find something made of silver to kill him with. he could have easily just killed her in the hallway where the fight started, since she wouldn't be able to do anything to him there and unlike the captain, she wouldn't have known that there was silver on the zeppelin, much less where it was.

@@odasengoku7314 "ass beat" is hard term, yes the captain kicked him into half but that isn't so serius injury for Alucard but after realizing he can't really deal with him, he withdrawed from the fight(even if you have a silver bullet/sword you need to hit his heart and that basicly imposibble unless he let it happen, in "Mist form" he simply untouchable)
He defenity the 2nd strongest character after Alucard(funy how we doesn't even know his name, Hans Günsche is just the name the fans did give him based on the prototype 😅). If they fight for real they battle would be endless, Alucard simply can't land any meaningfull damage on him and he can't make Alucard to run out of the extra lifes.
Not many people get the “…face mask, of vampire DNA” joke with Alucard saying “If you wanted one of those, you could’ve just asked me…😜”

So the thing about The Captain is that he's canonically the 2nd strongest character in the series.
Even Alucard himself admits that, without silver, he would have to go all out to kill him and even then it would be close. Which says a LOT about how strong he is.
The sad thing about him though, is that uts heavily implied that he's the last of his kind. The same way Alucard and Seras are the last of the True Vampires and Walter was the last of the OG monster hunters.
The guy *wanted* to die , hence him throwing that Silver Tooth to Seras. We know nothing about the Captain's backstory or who he was before he joined Milennium.
It was probably going to get some exploration in the spinoff , but that was abandoned after a few chapters, again, due to the author being a huge procrastinator.
Alucard wouldn't have a hard time killing the captain without silver, it just wouldn't be possible, any time he sustains fatal damage he turns into the mist/wolf form and is perfectly fine. The only way to kill the captain is silver to the heart, no matter how strong you are
No matter how many times I see it, the werewolf transformation keeps being awesome.
I find it hilarious how no one catches the joke where Walter says he got face mask of vampire dna and Alucard says he would had given him one 🤣 gross but....still funny
Some facts in the context of the episode:
1. Even though the no smoking sign was edited in on the airship, It was known that The Nazis were Anti-smokers also Vegans and was against cruelty to animals ironically with they did to the 6 million Holocaust victims.
2. In the original show where Seras fights The Captain, even though he’s a mute he pretty much bagged Seras to put him out of he’s misery when he leads her to the treasure room because at that time he has been living for 155 years.
You know its real sad when the NAZIS of all people did it (anti-smoking and vegan campaigns) first.

9:30 And there's the Dragon Ball Z Abridged reference to the "splash zone" that an arrogant Gohan told Goku in DBZA episode 60 part 2 - which dropped on TH-cam a month apart from this Hellsing Abridged episode.
Having the episode start with footage from the original Hellsing series was a brilliant touch. Not only did it give some background for the present, but it also cemented Integra as a badass!
Then we see Walter back in his prime, however briefly. He was called the Angel of Death for a good reason. But what a moron, trying to reclaim his past glory.
Seras Vs. The Captain. Pretty fun, right? Even if *nobody* expects that squeal.
And finally, the appearance of Girlycard. No wonder he’s still on good terms with the Queen, huh?

Walter vs Alucard is a great sequence. Walter did ALL of this for a shot at finally taking out the greatest Vampire... only for his body to lose control, because he's still an imitation vampire at best.

Fun fact, Takahata's sister voiced the female Alucard's "sexual japanese voice" and he was VERY uncomfortable that she could do that.
1. So, yeah, this is where things het kind of hectic and weird. See, even in the original Walter's betrayal kind of came out of nowhere, there are little hints to it but it feels pretty rushed.
This is mainly due to the fact that Hellsing's author, Kouta Hirano, is apparently kind of infamous for procrastonating. Hell, his editors had to pressure him just to make sure the manga even got finished.
2. Walter's reasoning for wanting to kill Alucard is because he basically feels like its his duty,as he's one of the few who *can.* And he's not wrong, Walter actually came the closest, aside from Van Hellsing himself, to *permanently* killing Alucard.
Him running out of time and Alucard using Luke as a decoy was just pure luck
3. So Walter becoming young and then aging backwards is a bit better explained in the original.
Basically, he went through a similar process that the Milennium soldiers did to become pseudo vampires.
The peoblem however is that he rushed the procedure. Instead of resting and taking some time to get used to his new body, he want straight for Alucard.
Now,his body is overexerted and is spending more and more energy to keep him young to the point that it went overboard and literally aged him back into a child.
We all know there was one Brit who could've tapped Female Alucard and probably crossed over the multiverse at one point for it to accidentally happen as well because no one understands his sexual preference either.
And his name is John Constantine!

To this day I still don’t know why the Captain squeals
He was happy to finally have a glory-filled death. He had been living for a long time and was really wanting to die in the end but technically couldn't because he was immortal (save for silver killing him)

The last 3 episodes are all super dense where things HAPPEN! There are no breaks on this ride, we are going DOWN!
The only real note I have for now is a reminder that Kouta Hirano has background in drawing... adult content. I know that this has been mentioned before, just a reminder.
Well, I do have a couple of notes. In Ceras Victoria vs Logan fight, Ceras threw a bomb at Logan whom then kicked it off mid air. He didn't shoot a rocket from his boots, he just kicked the bomb Ceras threw at him.
Another notable thing is Ceras' seeming invulnerability eventhough the only person she has consumed is Pip, which further demonstrates that Alucard's invulnerability is not tied to his #LifeHack. There is a reason why I'm bringing this up here to which I will elaborate more on with the finale.

Friendly reminder that Alucard was in *actual* danger this episode until Walter started aging backwards, since Anderson removed his #lifehack by freeing all the souls trapped inside him.

Thought its never stated. The Captain in Hellsing is known in the community by name as Hans Gunsch. Not even im sure why i remember that after all these years or even where it came from exactly. But yeah. Probably the coolest most badass guy in Millennium despite being a Nazi and he basically gave Seras an even playing field saying without saying "I'm going to give you the one chance to actually kill me, but im not gonna go easy and you're gonna work for it."
Fun favt in the prequel Manga The Dawn, Alucard dipped and left Walter on his own because he had NO silver and basically couldnt do jack against The Captain and knew if he faught him it would just be wasting lives against an opponent he could at best stall. This guy was no joke if he made Alucard HAVE to retreat because of the lack of necessary materials.
He may have gave Seras the equal ground, but he intended his death to be earned. So props on her for pulling it off. Most people consider the equal footing stance as a means of saying they wanted to die and let it happen in this scenario, but ive seen plenty of media and the viscerally intense fight this was showed that this Werewolf in London wouldnt just let anyone kill him unless they could best him.
Probably one of the coolest otherwise background to one off side characters of the show. If being able to hold Walters wires with mere bleeding when nobody else could told you he was a serious business guard dog then nothing else could.
What's worse than Alucard? Girlucard of course, with all that sexual tension being released after so long...

about that werewolf dude, in the manga during WW2 when alucard was a girl, he and walter fought him at 1 point and he proved to be quite difficult, not sure how it ended, i never read it but just saw a post, anyway i do know he's always wanted to die, that's why he was happy at the end when seras and pip killed him, and he's my favorite character the whole series, never talks, just does

It was the actual reason, but wildly more comedic and satire. Alucard simply did it because he felt like it because he got to see Walter as a teenager again. Which if you'll recall, Alucard has said before that at that time, he was also in his girl form. So as TFS said it, "It's a blast from your past."
it was to merely taunt Walter, Alucard could see that Walter aging was reversing at an unstable rate and seeing how he had regressed back into about the time when he and Alucard were first hunting together he choose to retake the female form he had during WW2 - im not sure in the prequel manga Hellsing Dawn actually goes into why Alucard decided to take that form or not but even the OG Alucard like to troll folks sometimes 😂
Alucard is essentially a vessel of souls, something far beyond vampires now. He can take any form he wants really. Technically speaking, if Seras feeds on people in the future, she could become something like that herself.
Yeah I just wondered if Walter specifically was in love with Alugirl or if TFS made that up.
Still kinda horrifying to think Seras killed the werewolf with a silver tooth these bastards dragged from the mouth of a Holocaust victim decades before. Though I guess as posthumous legacies go, there's much worse out there.

The weird thing for yourselves is coming at the Abridged and not expecting "Girl Alucard" to be an actual real thing in the original production. You hear the jokes "I was a girl in the 40s" and it was not an abridged joke...its just fact to the story.
