The good thing about the human soldiers is that the plastic set was designed by the same guy who did the various Frostgrave plastic sets - I'm told the bits fit quite well if you want to cobble something special together. Those Oathmark human models look quite nice and you've done a very nice job with them.
Thanks Malcolm. These are fireforge games minis. I got their forgotten world Kickstarter but never used any of the minis. Once Oathmark came along they finally have a purpose lol
They look great Leon! It fun to see you painting some fantasy stuff for a change of pace. I know what you mean about have new rules in all of the supplements being a pain. Bolt Action is getting that way as well. Thanks for sharing! Take care
Thanks Dan, it’s reminded me just how much I miss Warhammer Fantasy. I don’t miss painting cross belts one bit lol. Yeah I found that with bolt action as well. Probably why I don’t play it much anymore.
That is excelent painting on this guys, you can see the extra work on leaders, they look fantastic, i like the bases full of details and things. I can t wait for the undead king to see him, and the necromancer.
This is the very thing that put me off SAGA. I’ll stick with these rules but I don’t think I’ll buy into all the supplements. Just use the rules that I have
@@leont66wargaming31 I agree with you about trickling the rules - my other bugbears are poorly edited and proofread rules, authors who release errata sheets seemingly within days of publishing their ruleset, and poor indexing. This is closely followed by "new" editions being issued very shortly after the original.
It really shows that you enjoyed painting these. It comes out in the results. They look great, Leon. Love the halflings! I’m always looking for miniatures to add to my Chaos Halfling horde. I’ve got some pig riders from Warlord on order, but they were a bit pricey. I think the fantasy is a good break from the uniformity of the Napoleonics.
Makes such a change to paint something other than cross belts. I just ordered some goat riders and and a few other things in the warlord sale. Hopefully I’ll have enough then to finish this army. Might need one more box of the plastic halflings but that should be it then.
Lovely work on these troops Leon, the spearmen look really nice , I like the rant it would be really difficult where your opponent has an advantage because he has a different rules set, all the best Garry
Looks cracking Leon, even with the limited highlighting. The bases are really making them pop. I agree about rules, its not good having to have to refer to a number of different ones just to play the game.
Thanks Ken. I know they do it to make money and keep selling books but it gets to a point where people just get fed up of it. Never played frostgrave but I believe that has more books than a city library. Hope this doesn’t go the same way
Finally got around to watching :D Thanks for the shoutout! And these figures turned out absolutely crackin! I really like the look of your Halflings. I totally hear you on the Oathmark books but I think I can alleviate your concerns somewhat. I'll make a video about it tomorrow though cause it's too lenghty for a comment xD
Thanks mate. Ah cool. I’ll look forward to that video. A good base and a nice flag distracts the eye from all my mistakes lol. Ordered some more halflings in the warlord sale. I’ll do a loot video when they arrive
I like the halflings but they’re a bit limited for poses. wouldn’t want to say to much as I only have these little dudes. I think I’ll be picking up a box of them ww2 resistance fighters and maybe the giant spiders.
Now they are reallynice. Gawd, I miss painting the bigger 28s - so nice. You did a great job on them and... YES! just play with the core rules. Screw the extras. Maybe if you REALLY, REALLY dig the game, then maybe. ~K
Thanks buddy. I’ve tried KOW but couldn’t get on with it. I know a lot of people really like it just not for me. You could use wound counters if you multi base. Yes, I’m so over painting cross belts.
Very fancy looking regular and pint sized men!
Thanks buddy

Some very nice looking units👍🤗🐻🐉
Thanks 😊
A good start into your project. Directly with some very excellent painted figures.
Impressive skill in every case. Greetings and a nice weekend, Leon.

Nice sculpts and a fantastic paint job!

Very, very cool units. Love the paint jobs you did on these. Excellent stuff.
Thanks buddy. Made a nice change from endless cross belts lol
Cracking job Leon, figures look great
Thanks Sean 😊
Inspirational stuff Leon, very tempting!
Thanks mate. It looks like a decent game
That is excelent painting on this guys, you can see the extra work on leaders, they look fantastic, i like the bases full of details and things. I can t wait for the undead king to see him, and the necromancer.
Thanks Lucian. It’s made a refreshing change painting these guys. Made me remember how much I miss warhammer fantasy.
Done great work there Leon. The extra little rule in each book sells the book. That’s how you make money.
Thanks Paul. Yeah I get why they do it. It’s just f%#king annoying. 🤣😂
Great looking army so far....
Thanks Nik. Yes just a few hundred more to do lol
Wow, cracking job on them, love the colors... and beautiful flags as well ! 👌
Thanks Phil. 😊.
The flags are from “flags of war”
Army looks awesome!
Thanks buddy
Glad to see more Oathmark content. Sub'd!
Thanks buddy 😊
Lovely brushwork bud - they all look great!
Thanks mate. Any luck on the job front?
@@leont66wargaming31 Yup! Just today...
Excellent news 😊
They are excellent leon , very nice

I agree to a certain extent with your observations on the supplement books. Having rules trickle out slowly can be frustrating.

Brilliant! Looking at oathmark myself!
Thanks mate. I’ve tried other games since Fantasy was killed off. This looks like the best one so far.

Yeah these things bug me. Bolt Action does it as well with having specialist troops in all the supplements.
Good work on those guys. I especially like the halflings. They turned out especially cool.
Thanks mate. I’ve ordered some halfling goat riders to go with them

nice figures, they have a nice warhammer fantasy empire look, love the pose and paint job on Orphen - The Druid, might have to get one, :)
Thanks buddy. I think he looks a bit like the wizard from “the life of Brian” hahaha.
@@leont66wargaming31 lol come to think of it yeah he does, :)
Quite the change after all those Dutch!
I don’t miss painting cross belts one bit lol

Awesome stuff mate, must be a nice change to do something at 28mm 😃 they look great, think your colour choices in the humans are spot on 👍
Thanks Martin. I blatantly ripped off Duncan fx for the human colours. Shhhhh🤫 don’t say anything 😆😂. Nice not to be painting bloody cross belts 🙄
Great job on those figures good luck with your new project
Thanks mate 😊
Very nice work!

Good start to the project, the banners look very nice.

BUDDY THIS IS OUTSTANDING WELL DONE .....SO HAPPY BE SAFE I FLY OVER THIS SUMMER N VISIT I WELL COUSIN....LOL
Thanks John. Keep safe my friend
They look great Leon, I like the use of HYW flags.
Thanks Lee. I saw them come up on my Facebook feed and thought they’d do very nicely
What did you think to the WGA figures? They’ve got some historical sets that look good
I like the halflings but they’re a bit limited for poses. wouldn’t want to say to much as I only have these little dudes. I think I’ll be picking up a box of them ww2 resistance fighters and maybe the giant spiders.

Thanks mate. Makes a change to be painting something different. I won’t be buying book after book after book regardless lol.
very nice indeed
Cheers mate
Those look really cool, am just starting with kings of war but may be able to double up my units for oathmark. Nice to see the new project mate
Thanks buddy. I’ve tried KOW but couldn’t get on with it. I know a lot of people really like it just not for me. You could use wound counters if you multi base.

I have tons of bretonnian transfers if you want me to pop some in the post to you?
Thanks mate.
Yes please if it’s no trouble. 😊
Looks great mate. Its a fun game, maybe meet up for a game one time in the future :)
Thanks Jonny. Yeah definitely once this madness is over
These look brilliant my friend!!Is this like Medieval Fantasy? Love them! hehehe.. lets try this Computer stuff..;)
Thanks Nik. Yeah I went for all the 100 years war looking halfling heads.
Good reminder. I’ll get in steam now lol
@@leont66wargaming31 i send you also a friend request in Steam so we can play games together. have a look..
Cool.
How did you paint that beautiful blue tone on the halfling archers? Amazing paintjobs btw!
Hi Sebastion, I've only just seen this comment, sorry for the late reply. I used Vellejo blue green i think? or temple guard from GW
That is some wonderful work what colour did you prime them mate?
Thanks mate. Used grey undercoat from Wilkinson’s £6 a can.
@@leont66wargaming31 cheers mate I've just bought Halfords grey primer
Yeah that’ll do just as good. I tend to only use grey primer these days.
I'm using the hobbits for my humans
That’s what I like about the hobbits, I can use them as humans as well. Also Dwarves, very versatile
Great work mate. Like the idea of loads of flags makes the army stand out on the table. Is the guy in the Robin Hood hat wearing tights?😅
Thanks Paul. He certainly should be 🤣
Beautiful work, it makes me think of a merger of 90's style and current techniques! Are you part of the Oathmark Discord?
Thanks David. I didn’t know there was a Oathmark discord. I’ll try to find. Or if you have it could you send me a link please
