Today Gerry is taking a look at a Halfling Militia set from Wargames Atlantic.
In a startling twist a box filled with sprues is opened on camera for the world to see its contents. Wargame Atlantic have filled this box to the brim with sprues for 40 halfling warriors with a variety of weapons and poses. The box makes a good entry point if you are looking to run a halfling army.

I love wargames atlantic stuff so far. There is so much value in the bix for the price. I'm supper excited for there Persian Infantry
I hope they make a halfling cavalry box of some sort to accompany these so you can make a proper army of plastic

My personal go-to fantasy wargame - Age of Fantasy, by One Page Rules - made an army list for Halflings (based on, I think, a different third party model range). That list included rules for halflings mounted on pigs, goats, and chickens.
So I, for one, would like to see Wargames Atlantic produce models for at least one of those. But I also wouldn't mind ponies, either. (Age of Fantasy's mechanics aren't fussy about how something is flavored, so I could say "counts as" for one of the units they have; it's also why I don't worry too much about the rules not having a specific option for slings).
@@Bluecho4 I was toying with the AoF halfling list with that in mind, too! Fingers crossed for some cavalry from wargames atlantic :)

This is the sprue I chose from the Great Wargame survey specifically for Frostgrave and RoSD.
The chickens bring great joy.
I'm planning a feudal French army, c.1245 for WAB that will do double duty as an Oldhammer Bretonnian army with the addition of some fantasy bits & pieces. These halflings look like they'll fit the bill for an ally contingent.
Did Gezza just say he’s had Halfling fantasies since his early gaming days....or did I hear that incorrectly?

The Wargames Atlantic model range tends to be very modular, with the ability to swap heads and arms around. They could release a sprue just full of animal heads, for putting them into bodies of other products. Have each sprue include six copies of various animals. That would be cool.

7:51 That scale reference probably means nothing to 99% of people watching this.
Please show visual metric scale next time, ideally compared to a ruler and/or to miniatures from other manufacturers that produce halflings, like GW, Reaper, Wizkids, etc.
I don't know of anyone who has ever seen a "Westphalia" or "TTCombat" halfling miniature in person, only images of 3D renders or pictures of greenstuff master sculpts over plain backgrounds that do not show scale at all.

I've got one sprue of these, and I'm very tempted to go for a box. No idea what to use them for, though... maybe as goblin stand-ins for Oathmark, once that's released?

KoW 3rd, how do they compare for scale with new mantics ? Shadows in the North starter box, adding with Northern Alliance maybe ? Specifically fitting onto multi basing 20mm spacing quite tight.

Do you think these would scale up well with the GW LOTR hobbit minis?
