"best drummer in the world" is not a real thing. It always bummed me out he's rarely behind the kit anymore, his work with QOTSA was out of this world. He's certainly in my personal top 10 of the world's greatest drummers, but that doesn't mean much, that's just my personal taste.,

I love this magic, small man makes something uniqe and ubelievably catchy sound only by simple chords, he can be high, he can be sick but people still have best time ever. his charisma and world he was the epitome of. Respect to Cobain and also rest of band.
I didn't write this, but a kid on a Nirvana message board did, and it describes the entire song, he did a lot of research and thinking, and it's awesome, ENJOY This song can be about Masturbation and it's pretty easy to see why. First of all Blew is obviously a word for oral sex. Another word that rhymes with Shame is 'Came', and 'Is there another reason for your stain' is pretty self explanatory. However the way I see this song, is being about someone who isn't living up to everyone's expectations of them. Kurt was a fairly smart kid, but I think the general consensus was that he didn't apply himself to a lot of classes even though he was capable. This is what I think the lines mean; 'If you wouldn't mind, I would like it blew' Maybe people were saying he 'blew it' and his retaliation is saying that's how he wants it to be. 'If you wouldn't mind, I would like to lose' He doesn't want to try to be better, or to win. Both 'would like to leave' and 'would like to breathe' could be about feeling pressured and smothered and just wanting to relax. This one might not make sense, but 'Is there another reason for your stain?' Could be about parents putting pressure on you because they feel like they failed or for another reason other than wanting you to do well. 'Here is another word that rhymes with shame' is probably meaning, whoever is putting the pressure on you feeling disappointed and ashamed of you. I don't agree with people who are saying that its supposed to mean shame rhymes with fame, while it makes sense, this was on bleach, so most likely written in 91 or before, I dont think Kurt really had the pressure of being famous then. 'You could do anything' is kind of obvious, you have so much potential and you could do anything. This is just how it applies to my life, it could be completely wrong, I don't know what Kurt was thinking when he wrote it. It makes sense for me though :)
+greenday103921guns this is hilarious, the words more than likely were just random shite that came into his head and youre over analyzing. Do you really think Kurt cobain thought out each of these lyrics thoroughly to perfectly represent exactly what your interpretation is? I fucking doubt it.

Just don't trash people online you most likely don't even know.

@hypnotist55 FYI - Guy dancing on stage is Antony Hodgkinson, aka Dancing Tony. He was the drummer for British rock band Bivouac in 1992. As a labelmate to Nirvana, Hodgkinson had interacted with Kurt Cobain and Co. for a couple of years, picking them up from the airport when they came to England, hanging out with them at shows they played. One thing led to another, and he ended up dancing with the band in, he estimates, nine shows, including Reading Festival gigs in ’91 and ’92.
