nah sorry lol, I love Nirvana but I gotta disagree there, I think the best power trio was "The Jimi Hendrix Experience", fucking Mitch Mitchell tearing it up behind the kit, Noel Redding laying down that groove, and the one and only James Marshall Hendrix destroying everything you thought you knew about Rock N' Roll, just my opinion lol

I'm more a Nirvana fan than a The Jimi Hendrix Experience fan but it's just plain stupid to say that anyone, for that matter, is better or more influential than them but I just wanna say that don't underestimate Nirvana members' talent. I see many people sayin' "they weren't that talented" based on the fact that they're songs aren't that technically complex and that is true however when it comes to song writing very few bands and artist can actually compete with the genius behind these guys' music.
And we all know how influential they were, so I guess what I'm trying to say is that though they might not be "better" than TJHE, or some other trios for that matter, but I don't think you could say any of those trios are actually "better" than Nirvana either.
Jazmin Mars Muse and Jimi Hendrix Experience are in a way better than Nirvana

probably because Drain you live is played in standard tuning instead of a whole drop down and is played at a higher tempo

Kurt nailed this performance. Almost no mistakes on guitar and his vocals were on point. You can tell he was feeling it and put his heart into this performance.

Easily one if their best performances I've seen. The interlude in the middle is just perfect. You can hear the bassist yell in excitement after it kicks back into the song.
I’m still amazed how a three-piece band sounded so “full” and made so much sound. I credit Krist’s bass playing... and also Dave’s drumming... and Kurt’s guitar tuning and use of fuzz boxes/distortion. In other words, all three were good. Cream is the only other three-piece band that got so much sound... and the Doors (four members but only three played instruments).

Outstanding perfomance. A band that I initially rejected but was quite unkowing at the time. For me these guys defined their generation.

“With eyes so dilated I have become your pupil” is SUCH a GREAT line. I can’t think of a more clever more accurate more beautiful way to express that you’re starting to have feelings for someone. Your pupils actually do dilate when you see someone you’re attracted to… and early on in relationships it’s easy to become obsessed with learning everything about your crush - what they think/feel/are interested in. You start to feel like a pupil or student who just wants to learn everything you can about the person you’re newly obsessed with/ crushing on in those early “young love” relationships. Every time I hear that line my mind is re-blown again and again.
