Im a bokmål learner myself, and from what I understood from these guys, their dialect can even be compared with some icelandic words, whereas "hv" becomes a "kv", in icelandic this is a spoken rule, in Stavangersk it is acually written, so "hva", "hvit" and other similar words become "kva","kvit" and so on, another thing that i've noticed about it being similar to icelandic is their definites and their verb conjugations, instead of "en/ett" it is "ein/eit", and instead of the usual "e" verb ending, it is actually the "a" ending, so "kan du huske det?" becomes "kan du huska det?" and other similarities like "ég" being almost like "eg" and so on.
@@leoaraujo8590 As far as the written languages go, Stavangersk has more in common with Nynorsk than Bokmål. For those who don't know, Bokmål (book tongue) is based on written Danish from when Norway and Danmark were in union. As far as spoken language, the urban eastern dialects have the most in common with this written form of Norwegian. Nynorsk (new Norwegian) on the other hand is based on Landsmål (country tongue), which was formed after the Denmark-Norway union ended. During a national-romantic cultural movement where many argued for an established language separate from Danish and Swedish, a prominent author and linguist traveled across rural Norway to gather and study the various dialects, and in turn create a written language from it.
I just replayed the first 20 seconds 5 times in a row to relive the moment when we all got this as a teaser. By Odin what a tension, what expectations... And now ten years later those bloody vikings pull it off, again. For the fifth time. Five times I crap my pants because the expectation only mirrors a fragment of the smorgasbord of awesomeness Kvelertak yet delivers. Again. Those bastards! You're paying the drycleaners dudez
This track got so stuck in my head that I have been playing this track since release til date n my wive keeps begging me to stop playing it - no chance, this is one of those tracks which can't be shifted once it's in your head.
this song is probably the only one who stands out like this. The rest is going to be much more like their debut, with black metal, prog. rock, punk, etc.
Sorry for the bother but can some explain some things to me :1) what does the title mean 2) what does the bands name mean and 3) what is the song about in general? Tnx :) Salutations fom Croatia \m/
Bridges are burning or burning bridges is the titel. Kvelertak is "choke hold" in english. Well for me the song is about alot of this. One thing i think many people fell when they hear this song might be the pain of going to a work you dont like and the relieaf of not going there as they sing in the video. And yeah its in Norwegian ;) rock on 🤘🤘
Yes I am really looking forward to the whole album ;) As I wrote - music of this song is quite good for me and when I saw on Facebook that there is also new clip, I was really happy...until I have seen this :-D
Ui, wo wir grad bei Kvelertak sind, Blodtorst und Kvelertak kann ich empfehlen, also, so heissen die Lieder. Kenne die Band auch schon seit nem Jahr ^^
2:22 "dude, that owl is fucking badass"
'Put your head up it's ass'
Owls are Kvelertaks kinda trademark. Its trve kvlt
When I was a kid I didn´t play sports, my cousins and I used to pretend playing in a rock/metal band with fake instruments. Awesome vid!

I'm Norwegian and I don't understand a word they say in this song.

akrylamidd i have no problem understanding this ;)
