Thank you for all the love on this one folks - will get back to you all in the comments shortly - Just a heads up there is a scammer replying to people in the comments saying they are going through a battle with cancer & have a youtube channel documenting it with a go fund me link on their channel - I actually fell for it a few weeks ago and attempted to donate luckily the site was flagged up and deemed a scam so I got lucky - Do not go to the channel or click any links they post, it's not a real person! They seemed to have targeted my channel due to the cancer fundraising we did a while ago - whilst im at it if anyone gets a message or reply to a comment asking you to send personal information or to donate to something, it's not me! Any fundraisers will be mentioned explicitly in a video with a link in the description of said video, never in a private message or comment. Look for the verified tick next to my name to be sure its me!

Horrible people, I don't mind someone who is desperate, taking from big corporations etc. But preying on the vulnerable and elderly is just downright sick.

Sounds like you might want to invest in a puddle pump for jobs like this. They are perfect for low levels of water on flat surfaces. Something to consider atleast. Awesome job as usual Sid!

Have you ever thought about getting a wet/dry shop vac? That could maybe work on the flood like this that's too deep for the other. Love your videos and love that this was your first customer.

Sid thanks for this video, I've been window cleaning now for 6 months only only do two days a month on the windows working hard at it and then doing nights at my current job and trying to build up my windows in the day. Some of them words you just spoke have given me the inspiration to keep going.

Well done Sid and congratulations on your success. I help small businesses set up and trade, and I've been trading myself 30 years. I've always said a monkey can register a business, it's easy. Running growing and sustaining a business is the hard part. No one owes you a living, you have to put the hours in across all business activities not just the ones you like. As a sole trader you're "chief cook and bottle washer". There's lots of "get rich quick" business nonsense online including on YT. The reality is it's hard work. I'd recommend people watch this video and listen to your closing comments, that's the reality. You thank the lovely couple, but in the end it wasn't an accident, they needed a job doing, you said Yes. YOU put yourself out there and YOU won yourself customers. You have my respect sir.

A large part of your success is down to the pride you take in your work and the high standards that you set for yourself. Seems so rare in tradespeople nowadays.

Top tip buying a wet and dry vacuum will help in these types of situations as you will be able to clear up little puddles and areas that fill up with water which you can then empty the bucket much easier then manually doing it 👍🏻
Hey Sid, something you might consider as a pump is a fish tank pump they come in various sizes they are electric and you know that they can move all that water around inside a fish tank they should be able to pump out you know the water where you need it to at work. I think the only thing you really have to do you know is put some kind of bubble filter on it but I'm sure a fish store sells those also so you might consider that or just a much smaller pump they come in all shapes and sizes and wherever you know it's got a flood just put the pump in there and go to work. Nice video keep them coming

word of mouth is the best advert. I started in 2015 and like you could not drive, I suffered years with my health, but like you I persevered. I don't think I do too bad now (gardener) its good to look back on how you started, me I was 45 on a pushbike with a trailer full of mowers and strimmers.

The drainage issues are NOT your fault it is the cities fault. They are the ones responsible for cleaning the drains. If they haven’t clean the drains, I find it hard to believe that people comment to you and make it your problem. Sid please don’t take on this problem. Thank you Sid for all your hard work. It was great learning how you go started in the pressure cleaning business.
When you cut the top off the bottle I had to comment. I was going to suggest this diy bottle trick a few video back where you “needed a trowel” on a clogged drain. I figured you knew what you were doing and here’s the proof a few videos later.

Hi Sid. I’ve noticed that sometimes you have a problem with small amounts of standing water, not huge amounts like this, but have you ever thought of using a leaf blower? One of the channels I watch here in the States uses a leaf blower to move water out of certain sections. I hope you read this. Greetings from a fan from Colorado, USA 🇺🇸
I agree with you about the street drain, that requires heavy duty commercial equipment to get that out. You are very generous to do that work gratis for those folks.
