Edited. I'm running 17.6.1 TVOS and it doesn't say anything about whether the track is lossless or Atmos when clicking the info button. I would rather not hear about features that are not there. However, the tip about using the back button to access the Shuffle, Repeat, etc was very useful. Thanks for that.
@@scottoneill774 Oh, that’s weird. I wonder if the TV you’re using doesn’t offer that audio mode. On mine, I can see it in the info panel despite now being connected to a home theater. (didn’t show in video as it doesn’t appear in screen sharing). Are you using your Apple TV with a home theater or just the built in speakers from your TV?
@@scottoneill774 tvOS 18 just added support for Dolby Atmos via AirPlay. So try updating and see if that helps. As for lossless not sure why they may not be working. It’s possible the speaker doesn’t support that audio being Airplayed, but I’m not entirely sure.
@@scottoneill774 Gotcha. If you’re curious, it has been running pretty smooth in my experience. Been running it since Public Beta 6 and haven’t had major issues.

@@Tak-z7d5kThat’s exceeded “tip” for me. I personally don’t have the money to spend on a full whole theater system. Even if I did, I wouldn’t do it. I use my Apple TV for casual viewing, so it doesn’t make sense for me to go that route. If that’s what works for you, then fine. The point of this video was to highlight features in the Music app that people may not have been aware of, not to convince entire to purchase a home theater system.

@@JTech22 I'm going from the apple TV to powered speaker via airplay using Belkin Soundform Airplay adaptors.
