My teacher told me about this. Was gonna go but my dad told me "it will probably be on yt" i didnt think id find it but it poped up as a ad. Who woulda thought.
600 million dollars gone in a few seconds. Built ten years ago that’s 60 million a year. What a waste of money. Could have paid for veterans health care needs and housed vets
I was at home when this happened half awake then my house started to shake cause of the cement falling down I thought it was thunder or an earthquake but my mom came back inside and said “well no more towers” then I started to laugh at my stupidity
I'm going to miss seeing them from the highway I-195 towards my daughter's house. Use to work at Somerset too. :( Blessings RI! Thanks @Southcoast Reality for sharing this with us.
@@chrometutor-tipstricksandt9427 No! Maybe I wasn't clear with what I want to say, but I just miss the towers, not their performances. I drove by yesterday and it looks so empty that area now. Tk care! I hope You Have a great day!
My name is Brayton. I was legitimately named after the towers after my parents could not come up with a correct name for me. Then one day they saw a story in the news and named me after the Brayton point power plant.
Yes. But those people living in the Ocean Grove (Swansea) area have been staring out at those things since they put them up. What should have been Beautiful views of Mount Hope Bay obstructed by those towers. I have family there. I live pretty close.
*The story of a kid growing up down Brayton Point* : I was one of those little Brayton Point kids running around barefooted with black feet or our version of Brayton Point black flip flops all the time. my mom used to go around with a petition for the neighbors to sign for them not to fire up stack 4 years ago but they kept paying people to paint their houses and detail their cars and everything else to mask the soot. I needed cataract surgery when I was very young because many of us living down Brayton point got cataracts. also Brayton Point Station the plant is known to be the worst fossil fuel burning plants in the world not just in New England or the US it was supposed to go nuclear and should have there was way too much objection and I would just simply say hey we're right under it will never feel a thing if anything ever happened. I will lose my mind if they put up a wind farm with those ugly turbines. The only cool part was listening to the tankers coming in with the little tug boats. I learned how to ride my bike on Power Plant Road and we actually used to fish & swim in that shit!! That plants been in my life all my life!!
What a waste of money. They built it like 6 years ago now it's down. They should have given the money to help the poor around fall River and the surrounding area
Jeff Araujo no not really cuz half the people rnt even poor just looking for a handout on there drugs and we seen more then half of then go into apts around fall river then in am come out more then half of then dress better then i can shit. Watched this live was awesome
How’s that for your property values Swansea? 👍👍 and congrats..
This is in Somerset. Probably taken from the lake in between Somerset and Fall River. I used to live there. :)
The Ugly Duckling a lake?? That’s the Taunton River lmfao
Just a native Rhode Islander passing through just to say Hello and hope you're doing well.
Hell yea, Rhode Island... Where coffee milk greets you, and Central Falls gets you shot
Yep this was planned. ;)
@@ButtahDawgMcDouble i mean truth. I live in the back of Jenks Park. But very true.

Amen
These towers were made built in 1963
Dmoney69424
You’re talking about the plant itself, not the cooling towers. You clearly don’t live around here
I was there!
If anybody has any questions I can answer them I used to live in somerset but moved a couple weeks ago. Went to watch them come down anyways. :)

Elizabeth De Jesús these plants are terrible for the environment. No offense but, why the hell are you sad to see them go?

@@chrometutor-tipstricksandt9427 Please, don't be! You weren't, and I understood your concern.
No one from fallriver....?
Me
Wow..That explosives expert did a real good job with that. Pretty cool to see in person.
Hi fellow RI gang ✊👊
Yeah
What
I just love how my fellow Rhode Islanders are here and commenting. Some are even posting memes down here too.
Hello my fellow Rhode islander
I went to this it was cool and before the outbreak
My mom told me about this , each time she goes to work she passed next to them every day
I saw this happen because I live in Somerset
Why were these put up in the first place?
They were cooling towers
I live across the river .-.
(The other side from where the towers were)
I saw it happen
So cool I was there on the bridge
No way I can see these from my house! No idea this happened but so cool to watch
I've been out of town for a couple of weeks and forgot they were demolishing these. I drove by on my commute and thought I was lost for a minute 😂
No doubt, your most popular video.

Love the company CDI flag placement!
Clear skies now! Yay
Weird\Awesome not seeing them no more
Legal drone flight?
It’s actually really good that went down, this planet doesn’t need the extra pollution.
Theyve been shut down for years, and they were water cooling towers, only thing they put out was steam
“When the azores sink into the earth”
Omg I drive by that every Sunday and now it’s gone :(((
Was there today very cool
where did you watch from?
Southcoast Reality TV Fall River boardwalk near battleship
I live next to it .-.
i watched at the dunkin donuts near jr’s superlube and a bank
That’s satisfying
Welp, wont be seeing these on my way to work every morning anymore.
Me And my friend during class
Just as a heads up y’all, this is a world record
Joshua Schneider what
This was a world record for largest cooling tower demolition
Joshua Schneider o cool
I watched it at the docks near my house
The sad part is all the people who lived down wind from the towers are rampant with cancer
It wasnt a Nuclear power plant, they were just cooling towers
@@ButtahDawgMcDouble my girlfriend is a home nurse and every patient she had behind those have cancer smarty pants!

Just like the Wolverine movie
But my factory next door was going to come down when it went off
this is a demolition not an inplosion
Zoinks nope it was an implosion. It was all planned. :)
Job losses, tax losses and larger electricity bills. Can’t go wrong with that trifecta.
it was so loud you could hear that shit in taunton.
I finally saw it

How the Twin Towers were Brought Down...eh.
interesting thought...
@@SouthcoastHack More like "lack of thought".
No, the twin towers were brought down by planes these powerplants wre brung down by explosives, they were ony up for 10 years.
But those towers collapsed from the top down, not bottom up
Exactly
omg
Everyone is laughing and cheering when everyone should be upset, a waste of taxpayers money is what that is. Unbelievable!
Hmmmmm🤔
They came down as if planes hit them....
But no planes did.......🤔🤔🤔
Y'all can't keep your cool.
