This is fantastic footage! The camera definition is beautiful. I've been through several tornadoes in GA, but due to the rolling terrain, I have never seen such an unobstructed view. It is insane how the outer vortex appears to be in slow motion! I'm glad you pulled over then back onto the road. The view just after 2:24 is a perfect example of the unbelievable dichotomy of a tornado and moments before a tornado.
I am from Wyoming and lived in Laramie for school. The great thing about Wyoming is that storms don't stick around. And the same thing with rain. I've never seen a tornado and it's the number one spot on my bucket list. If this were me I'd be jumping and screaming. If also be terrified not knowing what direction to turn.
This footage is absolutely terrifying. 🌪💔 Watching the tornado cross the highway is both awe-inspiring and deeply frightening. My heart goes out to everyone in the path of such destructive forces. It's a stark reminder of the unpredictable power of nature. Please stay safe out there, everyone. ⛈🌪
Stark contrast from the tornadoes I've seen footage of in the south. This seemed so calm even when close. No strong wind feeding the updraft, no rain wrap, no satellite tornadoes. Seemed surreal compared to horrifying.
this is a normal wyoming tornado. the dry air makes for an amazing tornadic experience. I saw plenty of clear af tornadoes working the missile field. it is almost surreal to see it though
@@allaboutmanie9629 it’s cooo while it’s in the country. When it’s in the city that’s a while differnt story though. But it is crazy that nature can produce something like this
Maybe it is unreal Petter Blomqvist. Who knows? They did add some extra "parked" cars which helps convert some skeptics. Last I heard they were trying to convince us that a tornado can have a swath of destruction thousands of yards wide. BTW: Did you see the film or just the fake news?
here in Manitoba had one of the only F5s in Canadian History and it touched down in the middle of nowhere out in Elie. Nobody was hurt and was the last tornado rated with the Fujita scale until they started using the new scale.
Hey mate, question: do the people in the surrounding buildings to you have info that this is happening in that moment? How good is the infrastructure for that cuz I don't hear sirens...
Fun fact: most tornados travel between 30-50mph, with some approaching 70. You can almost always escape a tornado by car if you can see it, but I wouldn't try.
Until near the end, the tornado and its spawning cloud looked unmoving. When it first formed, it was sculptured and white as fine marble, then the earthy brown slowly rose from the ground. Beautiful and awesome. Thanks for sharing this.
I live in Laramie. Saw this bad bitch in person. One of the most perfect systems to come through. No injuries or deaths. No major damage unless you saw the garage it hit. Beautiful video of it!
I love how many of these super photogenic tornadoes have such a relatively small radius of impact. The fact that you can park just outside this little cell and experience such peace and quiet while simultaneously looking at complete chaos at the foot of that tornado as it moves. Incredible feat of nature.
I love that the fact that this guy didn't ruin the video for us he kept it quiet so we can all watch in disbelief there was no cursing or no foul language or no oh my gods it was just quiet and beautiful
@@sehza-t9d You know it, some tornados are heavily rain-wrapped & next to impossible to see. This one is beautiful. I'm obviously not taking away from the violence of a tornado, but when you think of what a tornado should look like this is it imo.

Wow. I love extreme weather and have never seen a tornado in person....this footage kept me glued to my widescreen TV from start to finish watching the drama unfold. Fantastic!
These high-plains tornadoes with no precip whatsoever, very low cloud base (because of the elevation of the ground) and soil-filled debris clouds almost look like big dust devils. Also, when he passed the "blizzard gate" on the highway at 3:20, that was quite the incongruous sight.
Well now what about that one thing that it destroyed? Did you hear about that? It was every bit of 30 to 40. Not specifically anything just numbers. It destroyed numbers. It took the number 3 and the number 4 and it took them from us!!! It was the dragon!!! It made 0 watch!!! We gotta alert the guards!!!
What absolutely gorgeous footage. Surely this is the clearest, most pristine high definition clip I've seen on the internet to date. Watching it feels so surreal
That's what I was wondering.... seriously, can someone explain this? Does it have something to do with the camera's update rate and the spin rate of the tornado or, uh.... is this faked in some way or something? EDIT: talking about the rotational 'strobe' lag effect of the dust and debris spinning in the funnel, _not_ the directional movement speed of the tornado. so, no need to reply to me about perspective and how slow tornadoes can move and etc. etc. pls lol
@@ActionAlligator Tornado seems not moving is because it's Moving towards the perspective. Another Tornadoes are actually fast, it's just the environment makes it looks slow moving. The tornado is also far, makes it to seem not moving but when you came closer, You'll take back what you said. Tornadoes are moving at a rate of 10/20-60mph
@@ActionAlligator And the camera update conflict doesn't make sense at all. The Quality of the Video is 1080p/30-60fps So how it will be possible that the camera can capture the other things moving around fastly but the tornado is outdated. It can be also based on the light but not at the quality at all. It is the same as heavenly bodies, clouds and Stars seems stationary but clouds are actually moving 10-100mph and Stars at Million Miles per hour
@@roddick_ No no, I am not talking about the speed of the tornado moving trajectory-wise, I am talking about the weird jerky, choppy, laggy funnel spin; like, the grass blowing in the wind close to the vehicle looks normal, blowing smoothly like you expect. But, if you look at the tornado funnel when he gets close enough, it is not spinning smoothly, but will spin across the screen, stop, move, stop (in a fast way obviously as the video is playing). Try slowing it down, it becomes more apparent. Again, not talking about the tornado moving in a direction, but the wind and debris being spun. I thought maybe the tornado funnel was moving at such a speed that it _seems_ like it's jerky because of the update rate of the camera/video. I obviously have no idea what I'm talking about, so I'm ok with heavy criticism at my armchairing, but I was trying to figure out why it's jerky without going full paranoid and saying it's faked or whatever. EDIT: also, I don't think this is a 60 fps video. I should clarify that when I said the update rate of the camera, I meant either the camera OR the video. This is a 30 fps video I think, and since funnels can spin at what... 65mph and up? It's possible that the funnel _was_ spinning so fast that a 30fps video can't update it in a smooth way.

This is fantastic footage! The camera definition is beautiful. I've been through several tornadoes in GA, but due to the rolling terrain, I have never seen such an unobstructed view. It is insane how the outer vortex appears to be in slow motion! I'm glad you pulled over then back onto the road. The view just after 2:24 is a perfect example of the unbelievable dichotomy of a tornado and moments before a tornado.
th-cam.com/video/PTc1YRqs160/w-d-xo.html .
Nerd
I think the bad framerate is due to a lousy compression chip in the cheap camera.
@@planesenpai3290 Because you can’t understand them?
This footage is absolutely terrifying. 🌪💔 Watching the tornado cross the highway is both awe-inspiring and deeply frightening. My heart goes out to everyone in the path of such destructive forces. It's a stark reminder of the unpredictable power of nature. Please stay safe out there, everyone. ⛈🌪
Midwesterners when they see a tornado: "Oh that's cool. Anyway."
Right. Ha.

It looks just unreal. I cant even imagine what it would like to be to see it in real life!

I share your idea,
they're so terrifyingly beautiful...to stand before the awesome power of it...i couldn't imagine it. storm on my friend, storm on.
It’s surreal but cool
That is actually a very beautiful shot. It couldn't be more perfect! I lived in WY for 27 years and have NEVER seen anything like this. Craziness!
Везунчик! Кто-то явно погиб из-за такого или потерял дом.
Nobody died and almost no damage. I live in Laramie and watched it that day. Tore up a barn that's it.
here in Manitoba had one of the only F5s in Canadian History and it touched down in the middle of nowhere out in Elie. Nobody was hurt and was the last tornado rated with the Fujita scale until they started using the new scale.
Hey mate, question: do the people in the surrounding buildings to you have info that this is happening in that moment? How good is the infrastructure for that cuz I don't hear sirens...
Rural areas don’t have sirens, only cities and larger towns.
What I find remarkable is how the tornado looks like it is just plodding along, barely moving but you know it is causing major destruction.
how to survive a tornado
tip no 1: start recording it

Until near the end, the tornado and its spawning cloud looked unmoving. When it first formed, it was sculptured and white as fine marble, then the earthy brown slowly rose from the ground. Beautiful and awesome. Thanks for sharing this.
Definitely one of the best tornado videos I’ve ever seen! Thanks!
I live in Laramie. Saw this bad bitch in person. One of the most perfect systems to come through. No injuries or deaths. No major damage unless you saw the garage it hit. Beautiful video of it!
And a roof got picked up and dropped on a brand new F-250
Pretty gorgeous footage! It was cool to see such a clear transition in color as it picked up more dirt and dust.
I love how many of these super photogenic tornadoes have such a relatively small radius of impact. The fact that you can park just outside this little cell and experience such peace and quiet while simultaneously looking at complete chaos at the foot of that tornado as it moves. Incredible feat of nature.

These high-plains tornadoes with no precip whatsoever, very low cloud base (because of the elevation of the ground) and soil-filled debris clouds almost look like big dust devils. Also, when he passed the "blizzard gate" on the highway at 3:20, that was quite the incongruous sight.
Tornados are so graceful
It's like wind dancing a deadly kind of ballet

I appreciate how straight of a line you drive in. I watch my dashcam videos and now I’m wondering if I’m just permanently drunk.
That moment when you realize a freaking _tornado_ manages to be more photogenic than you.
why does the tornado look like its moving at 1fps but everything else is moving normally lmao
The Quality of the Video is 1080p/30-60fps
So how it will be possible that the camera can capture the other things moving around fastly but the tornado is outdated. It can be also based on the light but not at the quality at all.
It is the same as heavenly bodies, clouds and Stars seems stationary but clouds are actually moving 10-100mph and Stars at Million Miles per hour
Things that spin fast appear to spin slow after a point. Take a fan for example as it speeds up, at one point you can see the blades moving slowly..
