- This is a Fan made Live action Trailer I made for the new Battlefield 3 game. All the live action footage I Produced/Directed/Edited/Scored my self. The titile logo graphics is from DICE.
The footage is originally from a trailer to my own film series I have been creating, but thought it fit well to promote the new Battlefield game.

11 years later this video still hits as one the best videos for BF3
Wow this is actually really well made! Even though it was very short and I know all of these people were just acting it felt very real. I could actually feel sad for the guys in the video. God bless our soldiers!

That just felt so real.
This is what FPS games need now. No space battles, no nuclear wars, but actual soldiers in actual scenarios. We don't need Michael Bay-like action sequences, we need emotional attachments and realistic consequences. THAT'S what will make our pulse pound.

But there are some filmes already. Black hawk down, Jarhead, Hurtlocker (It's on the line), Act of valor and soon we'll have Lone Survivor.
All great movies and stories.
Then you (people in general) can always watch Generation kill, Band of brothers and The pacific :)

Ron Dormoriz Imagine a game where you are the newest member in a squad. You start out a literal piece of shit; you cant aim for crap, you aren't allowed to throw grenades, and you can't handle the recoil on any of the weapons, but as you progress through the game, you get better and better and eventually you are a well-trained soldier, and now here's the kicker: the other members of your squad are actual people online. Think of it like a co-op story mode. Now that you are a badass marine, you can go back New Game+ mode and unlock new guns for multiplayer by helping all those new kids learn the ropes.
I agree with 70% you said,but some military games are ruining the genre.FPS is about a guy shooting a gun in first person,I recommend you to play Quake/Doom.
Is there a reason why this is not a movie!? I know this was a fan made trailer for a game, but this really gave me some killer goosebumps! like, OH MY GOD kinda goosebumps! Outstanding cinematography! Great vid!

That is the last prayer we did in Iraq when one of our brothers was shot and was going to die in the battlefield, we all stopped and surronded him and said this prayer it is an experience ill never forget it was a moment that made me appreciate life but at the same time see it go away. DOWNWITHHACKERS2015 I didn't say I thought civilians owning fully automatic weapons was a good idea. But since this is a fan-made trailer and not some Hollywood studio that can cough up massive amounts of cash to rent actual M4s from the Military or Law Enforcement, they're gonna have to go with the next best thing, props o in this case, airsoft guns.
Lol. We have a protected Right to Bear Arms. It's that simple. No law-abiding citizens are killing innocent people. It's sort of what the words "law-abiding" mean.

Nice angle. I love that it has some real substance, not just "Look, we've got gear on, lets walk through a building." The acting was actually very believable too.

Saw the thumbnail, thought "Bet it's with airsoft"
Saw the NVGs, thought "Wow, that's a hardcore team!"
Saw them stack at the hangar door, thought "Wow, that is definately a hardcore team, reminds me of GMR"
Saw them enter the hangar and start clearing it, thought "Wow, they know their stuff..."
Saw them start up the steps, thought "Huh, could it actually be GMR?"
I started looking for their patch, saw it at 0:44 ... Got exited! So happy they are still around, and a great vid BTW!

This is an amazing video. It was very emotional and darker about war, rather than promoting it. This is by far one of the best live action films ive seen. 10/10

MW3 and Battlefield are both great games. I don't favor one over the other, I am simply here to watch a short film. It matters not what you play, as long as you're enjoying your self and not judging others.

Honestly, this seems like it would be more of a Medal of Honor trailer rather than Battlefield 3. All the same an excellent job!
KUDOS goonhead2, thanks for making and sharing. It is a well edited and thought out piece, and as said before by others there are other ways of raising suspense and atmosphere than just big boom and flash.
@Razer1103 that's how you're supposed to wield a gripped rifle. Backside of the palm on the grip, and front side on the picantinny rail. The grip is only meant to be a place marker to assure consistency of hand placement. It's all about consistency.

No I casted them for a short film I made. You can see the full version on my page. GMR was nice enough to be a part of the film so I allowed them to use the footage to promote their team.
They recently contracted me to film them at the next Pine Plains event next weekend. SO hopefully will have a new video up in a few months on that.

So im a little off on the Weapon estimate, but this is all civilian sources... Unless these guys are toting gold bricks in their pack, there is no way their gear costs $20 000.

@Operator863 The MICH's alone sit at around 300. Norotos shroud and Rhino arm around $600 roughly for the combination. MS2000's are around $100 Then, the PVS-14's sit at $3k each. That's $4k just on his head. RVV's go for around $300, MAP packs for $200, and Patagonia PCU's are $350. That's not including the toy gun, the AN/PEQ box's, the modular pouches, I think it's more around 5-8k per guy. Which is absolutely outrageous
That's one of the coolest airsoft teams out there.
