Nope you still can’t duplicate with this glitch because it’s an item quest which means that you can’t drop it sadly. I tried it and sadly I’m on Switch so... unless you use a cheat on computer, you can’t duplicate aetherium with this glitch

Here’s something interesting about the dawn breaker quest. After you kill the necromancer there’s a dawn breaker on the floor, so pick that up then the one in the alter and now two dawn breakers
*NOTE TO EVERYONE* This only works with Legendary Edition or at least when you have Dawnguard DLC (at least for PS3). I tried this a month ago with regular Vanilla Skyrim (no DLC) and it didn't work. After picking up a Legendary Edition copy, it works.

Then leave by exiting through the main gate then warp into Whiterun. There will be usually just five of whatever you duped but your companions inventory will have the same amount. Simply tell them to pick it all up without picking up the items yourself or taking stuff from their inventory.
Keep in mind you guys this only works on Either Legendary Edition or Special Edition. If you can get the dlc on regular skyrim it might work but im pretty sure it doesn't. But yeah this was a very well explained video.

Hey guys, I have a question, I have seen some comments that say the dawnguard dlc is the key to the glitch and not the dragonborn, did you buy all the dlc or any in particular? I have regular skyrim without any dlc in xbox 360
I am playing on a PS3. I pre-ordered the game and picked it up the night it came out. I downloaded and activated all 3 DLCs the day they came out. I have tried this multiple times with different items and followers but it has never worked for me.
For console, you might have to give it a few tries. I duplicated Chillrend once sucsessfully, but was having problems with the Bloodskaal Blade. Just try repeatedly, eventually it'll spawn. I also like to duplicate in caves or empty hearthfire homes, it makes duplicating and leaving much easier. If you're starting a new save Benor is also really easy to get as a follower, plus he has no qualms against crime :)

Such a life saver duplicated refined amber and madness ingots from the creation club download. Damn amber and madness ore is such a pain to look for. Having to hunt down the khajiit caravans to buy these items is time consuming. Thanks again for the video.
After your follower picks everything up DON'T tell them to wait, get them to follow you out the door, retrieve everything off your follower then drop everything one by one and get them to pick those up then go back through the door and get the follower to pick the items up, now every single time you go through the door you have duplicates, twice as fast, the best place to duplicate items is the celler in heljarchen hall, winstand manor or lakeside manor. For easyness when i was building heljarchen hall i purposely left the room above the cellar and the area in the cellar below the hatch free from any furniture just for duplicating stuff!!!🖖😁
i found out any dropped item, that is touched by you or another npc wont get dublicated they need to be a place where no one not even you are gonna touch them

This worked perfectly! Although, oddly enough. I needed more than one item. But I've duplicated dragon bone, ebony ore, ingots, black soul gems... It all works!

Before I duplicated anything I filled the Battle Born house with plates and cups and the entire room was full and it was so funny to watch someone walk through all the plates
Here's a tip. You can also have your companion pick up everything when you re enter whiterun. Just keep repeating him or her grabbing the items. Instead of having to drop X amount everytime for them to pick up, just have them pick up all of them and then leave and return and the items will have respawned. Figured it out by accident.
Just saying, shields dont work and some weapons dont either. Tried with spell breaker 4 times and once with the ebony mail with the black poison damage and they dont duplicate but auriels bow and mehrunes razor do
Try getting a house with a mannequin. Put the ebony mail on it (or whatever) and leave the house. Go back in and activate the mannequin, equip the armor from mannequins inventory. Exit the menu and then leave. Return and there is a good chance you will have another set of whatever you had. I've done it with the ebony mail, saviors hide, archmage robes and others
Can confirm that this glitch is fully functioning on XB1. I also have some tips to share. I found out that you can move each item you drop into one pile, so your follower doesn’t have to walk over to each one. You should also tell your follower to wait next to the items so you don’t have to wait for them to come to you. Instead of running over to the gate every time, fast travel to Whiterun then go back outside. It saves some time and seems to lessen the chance of items de-spawning. Have fun duping!

I love this trick! I duped my Nordic armour and masque of clavicus vile for farkas. I did try and duplicate wuuthrad but it didn't work. A bit of a disappointment but it's still a good trick
July 29th 2020 still works. Duplicate a ton of iron ore and then use transmute to make silver and gold ore so you can level up your smithing quicker when you Smith the gold into gold rings/gold necklaces.
Had problems duplicating a sword, so here's a tip to get a weapon/armor: Went to Movarth's Lair (go to any cave that has an open entrance, i think), gave my follower a sword stronger than the one i wanted to dupe, dropped the sword i wanted on the ground (by the cave's entrance, told the follower to wait next to it, told her to grap the item, ran to the cave and laft the fllower command menu a second before entering. As soon as you load in, turn back and leave the cave. There will be no sword where you left, it'll be on the follower's inventory. Repeat it a few times and then travel to Darkfall cave (cave north from Karthwasten, a town that is close to markarth, on the east side). After that, travel back to the place where you tried to dupe the item. There will be the items on the ground where you left them. Worked for me, at least
It works you just need to put alot of items down and only some of them get duplicated, the glitch is to confuse the game, and return to the spot before it has time to reset
I dropped a flawless diamond in Tifton after completing the theive guild and someone picked it up and gave it back which caused me to get two of them when I had one on me
I just started playing Skyrim for the first time and tried this out, and it works perfectly on the Steam PC version. I found a rare ebony ingot at level 17 so I had to try it. The first pass it did not duplicate the single ingot, but duplicated other multiple-item ingots. The second pass it duplicated the ebony ingot so it works fine. Just follow the steps exactly and it works.

July 29th 2020 still works. Duplicate a ton of iron ore and then use transmute to make silver and gold ore so you can level up your smithing quicker when you Smith the gold into gold rings/gold necklaces.

Had problems duplicating a sword, so here's a tip to get a weapon/armor: Went to Movarth's Lair (go to any cave that has an open entrance, i think), gave my follower a sword stronger than the one i wanted to dupe, dropped the sword i wanted on the ground (by the cave's entrance, told the follower to wait next to it, told her to grap the item, ran to the cave and laft the fllower command menu a second before entering. As soon as you load in, turn back and leave the cave. There will be no sword where you left, it'll be on the follower's inventory. Repeat it a few times and then travel to Darkfall cave (cave north from Karthwasten, a town that is close to markarth, on the east side). After that, travel back to the place where you tried to dupe the item. There will be the items on the ground where you left them. Worked for me, at least

It works you just need to put alot of items down and only some of them get duplicated, the glitch is to confuse the game, and return to the spot before it has time to reset

I dropped a flawless diamond in Tifton after completing the theive guild and someone picked it up and gave it back which caused me to get two of them when I had one on me

I just started playing Skyrim for the first time and tried this out, and it works perfectly on the Steam PC version.
I found a rare ebony ingot at level 17 so I had to try it. The first pass it did not duplicate the single ingot, but duplicated other multiple-item ingots.
The second pass it duplicated the ebony ingot so it works fine.
Just follow the steps exactly and it works.
