Amazing video. Certainly shows, that Daddies will do anything for their daughters. Its given me ideas of what to do next. You said that it is not perfect, ask your daughter if she thinks it is, bet you the answer is a big fat 'YES ITS PERFECT!' ...Thanks for posting.

If you're going to carve rocks using power tools, be sure to do it in a well-ventilated area (forced ventilation or outside) and wear a dust mask so not to breathe in any dangerous dust particles. Your lungs will thank you

hi macon - your ideas are very good - I had years ago with soapstone times to try me - how much I start - but mostly I have other work to keep me from continuing to do - if you look through my videos then you will notice that I am very diverse - an all-rounder, funny is that I have collected again in the last few years a lot of different stones - what good? Now I know again - greetings from Federl.

Thanx Juanita... I have some more carving planned for the future, but right now I'm little busy with an antique 120 year old organ restoration... most of the rocks here in Africa are pretty hard, if I used an exacto knife, it would take me 3 months to carve... LOL

Thanx man... from what I can tell the best bit for rock carving are diamond abrasive burs, which is what I used, I would have liked to get hold of the diamond discs and diamond drum sanding burs, which I think are a lot better at removing larger amounts of material... hope that helps...

Howzit Macon! Love the videos! I watch all of them just don't comment. I just watched a video by Laura Kampf about failure on a project. She said that there will be projects that fail and you won't know until you go out of your comfort zone to try. You just said the same thing! Not that I'm afraid to go out of my comfort zone, it's finding the inspiration. Anyway great project and great video, don't stop what you are doing it is an inspiration!!

you did a brilliant job carving out a dolfin from rock . Just invested in a rotory tool and lot's of different drill bit's /and other fitting's for the rotory drill . because it can be time consuming to make something . what would they sell for once they are finnished . do you have a average price to work from .regards Lawrence
