I can feel hot air exiting the opening on the other side, so I think it helps, but I have not used a thermal temperature gauge to show exactly how the fan performs yet. I hope to do that soon, run it for a half hour without the fan running, and a half hour with the fan running and take the temperatures.
@@DAS-Videos I think it would be more effective pushing the hot air out rather than pulling cooler air in. Just from things I've read ,I am no physicist. I am just delaying doing some version of this because I am an electrical illiterate. I think I am going to go with (5) 5" fans on the back panel of my AGT H15. That'd be 150watts total providing 2400cfm. The fan you are using is 80 watts I believe. Going to do 2 on the bottom and 3 on the top air grills. Going to seal up rear corner(s) vents and space on rear-grills around fans.so all air will be coming through the side and lower forward inlets over my entire engine and out. Thinking of using a separate deep cycle battery for the fans especially if it is more power than charging system can replace. I did successfully install my hydraulic thumb today. Going to make plans for a hydraulic filter as well. Have my eyes on a sweet USA made stainless steel muffler/spark-arrestor . Just not sure how to fit it yet seeing my engine exhaust hole is not threaded. I put a Drainzit oil drain tube on there and that will make oil changes easy as heck. I have a 15hp china engine in it that starts immediately every time so far. I am only at 5 hours. Not sure what it sends back to battery. I am eyeing a 18hp DuroMax engine that says it produces 440 watts for down the line.. Don't have to throttle up at all now it seems at 15hp.
@@robertlipperd7352 Maybe pushing the air out would work better, not sure. I chose to blow the air directly on the motor, if I pushed the air out the incoming air might not even reach the motor. It might come in from the higher vents and blown out by the fan. I can reverse the wires to make the fan blow outward to test it. These mini excavators are a lot of fun, I enjoy working on mine. It's been raining a lot making the ground soft so I haven't had much opportunity to use it much since I installed the fan.

@@DAS-Videos put one on one side sucking out and one on the other side sucking in so you get good airflow
