Your attention to detail is incredible, both in the construction and installation of the kitchen, and in your filmmaking skills. The seamless cuts between apartment and workshop while continuing the narrative so smoothly without missing a beat is so good!

VERY nice hardware and mechanical work.... very professional. BTW, one of the reasons it took so long to sand the panel/doors is because you placed and sanded them at counter level (or desk level if seated). Proficient finishers know that to sand efficiently and fast , you need to place what needs to be sanded below waist level while standing Why? Because you can use your body weight while using a wood block and sand paper combination to sand parallel to the grain (using the correct sand paper grit) instead of using your arms and a circular sander that puts more scratches on the wood instead of sanding the grain smooth thus requiring a lower grit than would be most efficient. Using your shoulders and arms rather than pressing body weight is the hardest and slowest way to sand anything.

I have all Servo-Drive drawers in my kitchen. Let me offer you a tip: if you’re pressing directly on the wood to open the drawers/doors, over time, you’ll end up creating a worn or polished spot where you usually press on the wood. My cabinetmaker warned me about this, and I really didn’t want to have any handles on anything so I left it with no pulls of any kind. At some point, I may have to have my drawers refinished. You could perhaps have just a flat plate that’s he push target, if you want to avoid this.

The one thing I’ve heard about these electric opening door devices is it sucks when electricity goes out because you can’t open your drawers! Cool idea until a thunderstorm or any reason your electricity would go out. Other than that love the color, the grain match is phenomenal and makes the entire kitchen cohesive and I love the details in the design of the cabinets including the extra depth of layers around your island, especially love the coffee drawer! Brilliant, it’s a brilliant kitchen that’s been well thought out including the lights routed into the sides of the cabinet and I feel like your sense of space and how to add a niche here or a spot there is probably my favorite! Very well done, question do your electrical mechanisms for all the drawers, fridge, etc. have a way to open manually when electricity is down?!

Bourbon Moth recommends using playing cards as shims because you can easily set your reveal, write how many cards you needed, then reassemble and set your drawer faces -in place- using the playing cards to ensure your reveal is always perfect - worth a shot over pin nails and trial and error 🤙🏼

    Great kitchen!
Would you consider adding a motion sensor for the display cabinet light strip? That way, when there are people around it automatically turns on; this way you don't have to always manually turn the light strip on/off. I did this for my kitchen and it's the best thing my wife likes.

I must confess I regularly dream of dream kitchens. Your kitchen looks so satisfying I would pay you money to touch the panels, bake or cook there. My 40 year old not even ikea kitchen with hard to clean partly rusty appliances hurts me mentally in comparison (i life for rent, can't change anything and if I complain the landowner will make me pay for anything without reimbursement after moving out)
