StageCONNECT - Midas DN4888 Setup with the Behringer Wing

StageCONNECT allows 32 channels of audio down a single XLR cable! The Midas DN4888 is a StageCONNECT device that works with the Behringer Wing to allow for 8 input and 8 output out of a single RU space. In this video I teach you how to connect the DN4888 with the Wing!

Can it bu uses with a Midas M 32 C ? only have a wireless mic and a iPad whit background music, and a inear system, can I use that together ?

Just determined the 16x8 mode in the DN4888 allows for 16 output channels total. 8 channels go out the XLR, but all 16 go out the Ultranet. Still only have the 8 line level inputs, but a simple way to add Ultranet off the Wing.

If all you need is Ultranet then the DN4816U is the cheapest solution!

@Drew Brashler In consumer digital consoles there is always very few ways to get I/O especially channels inserts, so do you know if Wing / Stage Connect can be used to patch an analog channel insert and return or not? (like post eq send to external tube compressor and back.)

You can use up to 16 FX processors or external processors in their place using any IO including stage connect (you select external io instead of a built in processor)

Hello Mr. Brashler how are doing Sir, We upgraded our Console from Behringer X32 Compact To The BEHRINGER WING , I Will like to know if is possible to use the stage connect on the Wing and bring in as input from X32 and control it on the wing or use the X32 as stage box in our Church. You can’t use stage connect for that, but you can use AES50 and route the inputs to the wing. You’ll also need to change your headamp settings in the x32 to be able to control the preamps like with a stage box.
So in the end you only need a cat6 cable and very minor routing to use the x32 as a stage box

Hi drew I have just setup my band with the EW300 G3 IEM system on the X32 Rack - so I have hissing coming through the IEMs and I understand it's system hiss from the console - if i ran the outputs through a digital signal like the DN4888 of even through dante network is it possible to rejuice the system hiss ?

Ok so instead of cat 6 wire it’s XLR to connect the Midas stage boxes 2 or 3 boxes) to the wing as primary and I can still run a separate 32 channel snake as backup from mics and headphones to the wing correct?

When you say the stageconnect is recommended to use DMX, do you mean it's likely to fail if you use XLR? Kind of important seeing as we'd want to use the built-in multicore in a venue.

Hello Drew, thank you for your video, very clear and interesting ;-). I use a M32c + HUB4 + DN4816-O. Could you explain how to route to DN4816-O 16 outputs through StageConnect of the HUB4 ? I don't find anywhere an explanation :-/ For the moment I use the Ultranet output on the M32c to the 4816 input but I imagine it could be done by StageConnect... maybe. Thank you in advance for your advices. Procman

@@keks197474 I use the Hub4 to send outputs to backstage. The Dn replicate 16 outputs for the façade. It works with Ultranet but I question myself of the quality of StageConnect (maybe more accurate than ultranet)

The DP48 connects to one of the 3 AES50 ports and gets routed the same way a stagebox is, and multiple units can be piggybacked off each other or you can add a HUB4 which will make running in-ears a breeze. The P16-M uses Ultranet and will need at least a DN4816U, or one of the other StageConnect interfaces, to integrate with the WING!
