I've tea dyed & coffee dyed before, but I've never tried other colors. How fun.....different colors with paint!! Thank you for sharing!!! I don't have any sprays, but was hoping to make some with egg dye. I hope that you have a blessed week!!!💗

You know those Dollar Tree signs with the jute twine hangers? I am working on a project using one of those signs. The colours I am using are black/grey. I was considering trying to dye white kitchen twine to use instead of the brown jute. Thanks for this!
I do know what you are talking about Kelly. Great idea to do the twine white...that would look great with your colors. Being that it is diluted paint, it will stick to the twine well...I think it should. TYFW! I hope you have a terrific, crafty Thursday. Take good care. :)
I wonder if it would work with metallic or pearl paints.

Hi Corn! Have you tried leaving an item in the solution for awhile? You know, like when you dye Easter eggs, the longer you leave the egg in the colored water, the darker color it becomes. I wonder if that would happen here. If an item was left in the solution say for an hour or so, would it become a darker pink color?
Hi Kelly. Yes, I left the items in the food coloring for over 2 hours. Sometimes the longer left in solution the deeper the color, but not all of the time. I am always fascinated to see how different items in the same solution for the same amount of time come out very different from the others. This being diluted paint, I did not leave the paper in the solution for 2 hours, but I wanted to add extra solution to the paper with a paint brush. TYFW! I hope you have a great evening.
