Great day my dearies 😊 This walk is a walk around the city of Manila Philippines. You'll be seeing some part of the middle class up to a depressed area from Santa Ana to Pandacan Manila. However, the video shows just how you should stay positive in your life no matter what you are going through as you can see most of these people happy in their daily lives. As they say, Philippines is where the happiest people are 😊 enjoy the walk 😊

I love it here in the Philippines. The people have a rough life, but they still stay happy and generous. They just go with the flow and nothing gets them down. I feel gratitude for the citizens accepting me being able to live in this beautiful part of the world. It reminds me of how it used to be in the USA in the 60's and 70's when everyone was always outside and doing things from sun up to sundown. It's not that way anymore.

Born and raised in Tennessee USA. My younger days we were extremely poor. There were times we had little to no food for several weeks. I worked hard in school and earned a scholarship to college. Went to medical school and that changed my life forever. Watching this video I can relate to the way the people there live. I find it heart warming the way the people hold their head up and never let life get them down. Great video.

Yeah true. Poverty in a third world is not the same as in the first world. There are no government handouts. Most people die to mosquito bites from dengue or zika. tuberculosis is very common. There is no running water, no flushing toilets and if you are lucky enough to have electricity then there are rolling brown outs throughout the day. You can study as hard as you want but the opportunities are not the same unless you make your own by going abroad. For example, say you become a doctor in philippines you can expect an annual salary of 7,000-8,000 usd which is okay to live a simple life but no chance you are traveling the world or retiring early.

The Philippines are really beautiful, and have some of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. Wholehearted, optimistic, enthusiastic , and humble.
I might have been lucky meeting people from there... I couldn't tell, but that's my experience.
One side of me deeply saddens because of their poor economy, but the other half believes it's partly because of it that they are like that. I had the same feeling with cubans too.

Very well said . They might be poor economically, but they R rich in humanity, community and life affirming exuberance. They R naturally positive and happy people. I'd rather be amongst people like that than the depressingly miserable and selfish people in the west.

No other place on earth has such heart in the face of such poverty. I spent a good 3 years in Cebu and I shall return to the phillipines to marry my girl. The slums and boarding houses aren't so bad. Considering how dirt cheap the rent is and how relatively safe the phillipines is it's a win win. I was 10 Times in the Philippines and lived a long time there, of course also in Manila. In filipino province its totaly different.
But the province life represent the true life in the Philippines, Manila is very different, alot of people who lived before in province, transfered to Manila from the whole filipino country and different cultures and local languages melt there together. Its like in all capital citys and bigger citys, like here in Vienna, its the capital of Austria 🇦🇹, Europe, here are so many different people of different cultures from abroad, of course also alot of tourist of the whole World like in Manila.
People are more open minded there and not so conservative like in province. You get everything you like in Manila, there are so many big malls, Shops and International Restaurants like in every big City of the World.
I have to do with the Philippines since 37 years, like a life time of a human, i like the Philippines and i am already an expert of filipino culture, traditions, life style, languages, places and also the worries of filipino people. As a doctor med. i try to help there as much and good i can.

The people here are given into fear, despair, jealousy, and getting into hopeless.
But they are different, instead of giving up soo easily, and running away from the things they think it's impossible.
They keep on playing, and working to live, and survive.
Always keep moving forward, without complaining, or think what could, couldn't or could have.

TH-cam suggested me just like this this video. It's the first video I watch at this channel. I watch all kinds of youtube videos since 10 years but this is the first video at all about something in the Philippines. I am from Europe, Austria (the little country at the European mountains). My country is soooo different to yours and when I see this video, I become very modest and small. The world is huge, and I think no country is REALLY better than the other, we are all different but in many parts we are all the same. You see this especially at childrens. childrens are everywhere in the world the same. They play in the same way and just want to have fun. And what I see is also: poor people know sometimes better to manage difficult situations, they are more clever and stronger. And I saw in the video many people being nice the other people. I like to see this. Sure, not everybody is nice, not at poor people but also and extra not at rich people. I wish everybody there having a good next day.
    I subscribed this channel. 🙋‍♂

I’m not from phillipines but this is exactly the type of place I grew up on. I love phillipines my best friend is from there.
