The vintage Star single bladed or double edge bladed razors are excellent shavers! They were some of the best in their time. I think you will enjoy how well it shaves. Have a great weekend 👍😎
I just used that soap a couple of days ago. Yes SC does get overlooked. Familiarity breeds contempt. Sometimes I think because she has not varied from her original base with I applaud. It's amazing how often the Tech head has been copied over the decades.
ASR was a great company. They made lighters as well as razors. I agree that this Star DE razor is vastly under rated. It definitely shaves better and more efficiently than a USA made post WW2 Gillette ball end Tech. Soap Commander is a small family owned and run enterprise. If you are into vegetal soft goods, check them out. Yeah, I miss Jill too. She was pretty wonderful.

Hi Brian. I was on a razor buying frenzy a couple years ago and bought one of these in basically mint condition but never used it until about a year later after seeing it in a video. I had a great shave with it, better than any of my Tech razors. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Have a great day!
The Star 100 is a nice efficient razor just a tad better than the Gillette Techs in my opinion. I think it shaves even better than my favorite tech, the pre-war 1940s fat-handled tech. Have a great week Brother!👍😎
