The Hyperspace Radiation is only harmful to the wraith ships, because they are organic, while the others arent and the (armored)hull also adds radiation shielding.
Also they not only need to pause drive to allow regeneration of the hull, but their drives are also inefficient and have limited range per hyperspace jump.
Which is why they were so hellbent to get the hyperspace tech from the Aurora and why in the end, with the ZPM's from Asuras powered superhiveship,
it wasnt only more massive, but the hull also much stronger and resiliant and their hyperdrive got boosted even beyond 304 levels, enabling darn fast intergalactic travel right to earth for it.
Also both, interstellar and intergalactic are basically the same, with the latter just much more powerful and efficient and therefore much faster and longer range and needs more advanced long range navigation and sensorsystems, as its not easy to navigate with no stars and pulsars to get a sence of orientation and where you are and ofc already charted space.
Even when flying a direct course, you need to know the general direction, need to calculate time and lightspeed deviation to calculate and see the actual position in advance and also the current movements of the galaxies and systems inside.
And thats where the mentioned limitations of wraith tech and also Goa'uld tech come in and where the Ancients and Asgard excelled and the Tau'ri got theirs from in the end after putting up with wonky Goa'uld tech first.

Actually, in SG-1, Earth ships can do intergalactic travel from the beginning, but it would take MONTHS to make the journey. With a ZPM, that trip would take just a couple of weeks. We see this time and again in SG-1 where the power available and the efficiency of the drive system determines how fast a ship can travel in hyperspace.

It's a mistake to say the Interstellar and Intergalactic drives are different technology, it's a matter of power availability and scaling it into thrust. The show does talk about them as different a lot, but it's always shown that races with "interstellar" drives can jump to intergalactic travel in most situations by just upgrading their power supply and delivery.
There is much less difference between interstellar drives and intergalactic drives in Stargate than there are between say warp 9 and warp 5 drives in Star Trek. A warp 5 drive cannot be bootstrapped into a warp 9 by just hooking up a stronger warp core, as the drive itself will burn out going above its rated speed. We repeatedly see hyperdrives in Stargate pushed orders of magnitude past their normal speeds just by tossing more power into them.
This remains true even between races known to have radically different drive techs as evidenced by Attero device, which disrupted the subspace dimension used for Wraith hyperspace travel, but left the one used by Tau'ri and Asgard ships functional. Despite it being confirmed that Wraith and Asgard derived drives access different subspace dimensions when traveling, they are both shown to be scalable from interstellar to intergalactic via just a power upgrade.
The true weakness of Wraith hyperspace travel is their bioships being weak to hyperspace radiation as mentioned, and their bioships lacking the power generation capability to power a drive for prolonged periods (incidentally their terrible power generation is probably also why they do not use shields and go for biological armor instead.)

I may be wrong- this could just be my head cannon and not real Trek cannon, but I think the grand experiment of transwarp in TSFS would have utilized subspace.
I wish Amazon would get off their dead Bezos and demand that MGM make more Stargate. But no bloody reboots and NO JJAbrams, Kurtzman or any of their sycophant droogies.

I think transwarp corridors are through subspace in trek but I'm not 100% sure will have to check and yes I want a continuation of the cannon in a new stargate show set in real time from the end of sgu so like 15 years later it would be intreasting to see the stargate universe 15 years later have a few early episodes or the first one recap the last 15 years to catch us up and then continue the story from what's come before no reboot or new cannon just a continuation fingers crossed
