He is different from the other Dutch managers that have hitherto graced the EPL. His philosophy is a high octane press with high possession. He also is adept and can change the tactics much more than what Klopp used to do. What he needs is ability to sign good players, which I doubt will happen- limiting his ability to make immediate impact. ETH, LVG and Dick Advocate had better support on the matket

Considering the cynical policies of fen way, anyone considered that they will be happy to offload VVd, Mo & cash in on Trent next year, because they think that top 4 is an ok target for this young squad?
IMO reasons “Euros” is sub=standard (goal-less) most teams have players from the top leagues in their squad, & MANY clueless coaches COPY the manC BORING “tippy-tappy” possession footy, pass sideways & back& around the block… @FrankCarlyle @Jkizmet @lostshanklyboy1

It'll be a De Zerbi/Brighton patient build from the back style then when the ball is in the opposing half quick short passes into space attacking the gaps which have been created in the opposition defence. A De Zerbi/Klopp hybrid which I'm looking forward to seeing next season

@@LTF_Official I'd like to hope so, he'll be taking on squad which has been perfectly assembled to adapt his style of play of taking on more control in possession. Slot will inherent plenty of choice to play CM, AM and wingers. Slot will need & want to sign atleast 4 or 5 new faces to help strengthen an already strong squad even more. A ball playing centre back to replace Matip, another option in defensive midfield and a right winger who'll learn off and then eventually replace Salah are the 3 main transfer targets, another left back too if Tsmiskas is sold and even a new back up ball playing goal keeper of Kelleher leave to be number one elsewhere?

Rewatching your video which is absolutely brilliant BTW! Talking about roaming full back & the inverted winger on 6:30 where the AM can form a rotational triangle which allows all 3 players to interchange & confuse the opposition defence. Salah, Szoboszlai & Trent would be a brilliant rotational triangle which would cause the opposition so much damage. Salah started playing much wider last season but is a real goal threat when inverting, Trent was a roaming wing back really than a full back but has shown his passing range from being inverted whilst Szoboszlai is a brilliant option for the no 10 role where he can also pull out wide & cut back which he did last season & also for Leipzig. These 3 will be important to Slot in the new season when doing this tactic, along with Nunez's aggressive pressing, off the ball movement & blistering pace will cause alsorts of complications for the rival defence to try & counter. Plus Gakpo is showing just how much more comfortable he is playing on the LW in the euros, plus Diaz we have 2 options who'll look to spread the defence with their touch line wing play. Plus if Diaz were to be sold & replaced possibly by Gordon then that's another excellent option. Keep Robertson fit & supplying the width from the left flank will not be a problem at all. I'm really looking forward to seeing Slot introduce these types of attack to the side!
When you look at Slot's appointment, you'll realize just how much thought and planning went into choosing the best cnadidate to replace Klopp. So many similarities in play. I hope he brings a breath of freash air to the league.
@@LTF_Official the 2 players who would've really benefited from this deep build up style of play were Matip & Thiago. But unfortunately due to age & injury record they were sensibly released at the end of their contracts. Both were so so comfortable with the ball at their feet, had they not have been longterm injured last season l think both would've signed contract extensions for atleast another year & would've been brilliant in Slot's deep build up play. I wouldn't be surprised if De Zerbi tried to sign them both for Marseille as he also plays that style of football.

The Konate shout seems so unnecessary and unfair. He's by no means poor at ball playing, and regularly plays out to a high level for Liverpool
I feel Konate is world class. I hope he proves the masses wrong this year. Our fanbase is impatient with the injury prone so I've even stopped trying to defend him.

Hope I'm wrong. I see Slot strugglin this season. Macca is gonna be the most important player this season. Will Salah play as the 10? Where will Dom fit? Will Quansah start over Ibou? If we qualify for CL I will be happy.

Mecca & Sobo is perfect for the system. Slot will definitely tweak a little to utilise the players we have. I think Nunez will be the one who benefits Slot system most
The slower pace of the system will stop Nunez from running 100 miles all the time and give him better time to make decisions in front of the goal..
