I can't believe I've done this, but having just signed Sergino Dest on football manager and seen his little face in some of the clips I was watching, I've gone and stuck him in the Feyenoord line-up graphic. Sincere apologies to both him and you, dear viewers 😅 A long week already...
One stat shows Feyenoord with the lowest team with long balls played on place 20? Eredivisie only has 18 teams not 20.. About Arne: he is a very good people manager and the press like him, but: when he loses he Will blame the ref, the pitch, the wind etcetera. He does not like to lose and search for excuses. I cant remember him throwing his players under the bus. Klop sometimes also did these silly excuses after a lost match so maybe they are the same in that.
@@atlas68 Where'd you get this from? Everytime Arne has blamed the Ref, questionable decisions were there, but in general he'll acknowledge his team didn't put in the expected play and lost fairly.
Not entirely convinced that'll be his role, when he's pressed aggressively he's prone to lose it. Fully expect that to change as he gets older and gains experience though.
Alexander Arnold was a great box-to-box fullback though, most of his assist in his first 3 seasons was cutbacks and crosses from the wings. It was only after Fabinho, Hendo and the rest of Liverpool midfield forgot how to play football during the 2022-2023 season that he started to become an inverted full-back. He will be the most important player for Liverpool next season.

I think that Slot's tactics can best be summarized as role over position. He identifies his players' strengths, and then he makes sure they get into the positions to play to their strenghts on a game to game basis.
Slot seems a solid coach with greater flexibility than Klopp's rigidity - which has been both a virtue & weakness in his career. however, people are missing the wood for the trees. Liverpool have spent less than West Ham, Everton & Spurs net on transfers in the last decade - let alone the teams they actually compete for trophies with. They have required alchemy from an all timer coach with a perfect spiritual fit for the club to stay in contention for trophies, and they still had TWO seasons written off by shit squadbuilding leaving them with no fit CBs (20/21) or no midfielders who can run (22/23). Klopp & the quality of VVD & Mane/Salah/Firmino attack earned them the PL & CL but they were constantly let down by individuals who were there ONLY because FSG put no money into the club and stick to this strict 30m net spend turnaround each year. Karius, Adrian, Lovren, Henderson, Luis Diaz all not good enough but signed/retained because the proper options for a CL-competing team were too expensive. without Klopp, this resource gap will sink Liverpool. they might make top 4 but they won't win another PL or CL with their current owners. Boston cannot believe their luck that they ever won anything, their aim has only ever been to stabilise Liverpool with CL revenue and grow asset appreciation. Klopp has turned their gamble in the low hundreds of millions into a club worth north of 3 billion, but they will never put money in to get Liverpool back to the summit. FSG do not care about winning the CL. they will not risk 200m cash infusions to compete with nation states. Liverpool will lose Trent & probably Salah this summer, maybe Alisson too, and having the worst owners in the top half of the prem will catch up. this is partly Liverpool fans' fault - they could have hounded FSG out during 20/21 for unilaterally withdrawing the club from the european cup - the competition that defined it and made it a giant of the sport. FSG are also a big factor in Klopp's burnout, his own health aside. Klopp has had to miracle make just to be in contention with the resources provided, and then he has had to field the questions and pick up the broken pieces after each near miss or written off season. the flip side to this is Klopp will probably end up with 3 titles by proxy now that the league has normalised the principle of point deductions. minus 3 points retrospectively for City takes away most of their titles, especially two won vs Klopp by a point - leagues effectively decided by PGMOL. huge loss to the prem because Arsenal will burn themselves out competing with cheats too.

Great video!
Unless he can break down deepsitting teams, adjusting to English football would be very challenging for him
Yeah yeah... 👍🏻😉
Wow.. Awesome video!!!
Great content! Just a little note, his name is pronounced as "Ar-nuh" and not "Ar-nie".
Just subbed loved the video
I actually really appreciate how objective and balanced this video is. Most of these Slot/Liverpool analysis videos feel like a sales pitch to Liverpool fans to get excited about an otherwise - let's be honest - underwhelming appointment.
It's a great appointment I think
Great video, cheers
He could bring TAA into the covering Midfield, which would better suit him and move Macca into the CAM roll.
I have 2 words for Slot: Mintah"s OURS.
I had heard of slot b4 the Liverpool links due to the spurs job but I had no idea how he played . I still don’t know if he will be successful but ngl u saying that the move will work out has really helped . Also honestly bro , like thank you for making these videos cuz ppl like me who only watch the matches of the clubs they support find it really helpful cuz we got no idea what other teams in other leagues do (ig I’m not a true football fan then but still thanks )
I think the biggest reason is that Arne can work in a low budget and that's a value hire by Liverpool
He gonna slot Liverpool into mid table
Liverpool fan here and I have no clue how to feel about Slot. Im just waiting to see how he has the team playing. Im optimistic and pessimistic its a bit weird lol
Heyyy!!!! Liverpool news and wrestling news.. Adam Clery rock on
For a piece so well researched you'd think the pronunciation of his name would have got covered. Always makes me cringe when my compatriots pronounce a foreign name completely wrong. Still love the channel and great analysis as ever.
personally I can't wait to see slot ball
Spinning Slot face with sparlking teeth made me laugh for some reason. Well done.
Doesnt Dest play for PSV, is there another one?
Could you do a video on psv's amazing season?
As much as I hate city winning titles with 115 on their necks, I think footballers need the coaching that pep does. The klopp way didn't get the players to work on their weaknesses, just polished their strengths a lot
