"rüberbringt": Eine wunderschöne Erinnerung an W.A. Mozart, Zoltan Kocsis und Jiri Behlovlavek und "ihre" Musik...
Everytime I listen to Koscis play Mozart, the music makes me feel like "the composer would played his music exactly like this" even though the instrument is different from the one in his days.
Very few pianists had the ability of expressing the musical phrase in such a clear, fluent and direct way.Never an hesitation or a doubt in his playing.A true great artist!
Kocsis Krisztián , Kocsis Zoltán fia is zongoraművész. Ő is csodálatosan játssza!
Merci.
I have read many stories of Kocsis's acts of kindness, big and small. Thank you for sharing yours.
Superb interpretation. Will miss you a lot!
R.I.P.
¡Adorable Zoltan Kocsis; le esperamos de regreso!
Espectacular caricia para el alma
This is the best performance of the best tune of all time. The adagio tingles my spine, makes my hair stand on end, and brings tears to my eyes no matter how many times I listen - like no other tune I've ever heard. It overwhelms me.

Great pianist , fine technique and phrasing... ever seen another pianist playing bass in piano together with the orchestra, awesome musician...RIP maestro.
Friedrich Gulda did!
When Mozart composed his twenty-seven piano concertos, he wrote two significant little words alongside the clavier score:- 'col basso'. Despite many centuries of scholarship, this particular performance of the Concerto in A- major is the only one I have sourced that actually follows the composer's requirements. No other soloist has done this. My only regret is that Mr Kocsis did not record other concertos in the same light.
Fiedrich Gulda did it too at the same piano concerto. Here in TH-cam you can find that interpretation.

I just learned that Zoltan passed away at the age of 64 last year. What a tragic year for music. He was a true master.
Encore merci et je nous oublierai jamais. Reposez en paix.
Gyönyörű, elmélyült előadás, mind Kocsis Z. részéről, mind a zenekar és karmester részéről.
RIP Sir Bělohlávek. Eastern Europe gave us so many great musicians.
Magistral;wonderfull, Zoltan was so so great , thank you, sir
RIP drága Kocsis Zoltán!
Istenem, elment, pedig olyan jó "haverságban" voltunk. Még most sem hiszem el...

Music beautiful, Kocsis excellent, thank you!
0:43 Allegro
10:50 Adagio
16:55 Allegro assai
Bravo Kocsis. Stupenda esecuzione.
Thank you for uploading.
HERMOSA INTERPRETACION...... GRAN SOLISTA
grande pianista
Wonderful. I couldn’t do it better (W. A. M.)
merciiii infiniment pour ce moment de bonheur
Here you see that Mozart is best in the hands of countries close to where he lived. You have here a pianist and a director from that region and they are both by far excelling the media standard of international consumer culture.
Good musicianship is good musicianship - no matter which country the musician comes from. Not only Europeans can play Mozart well.
+Peter Fritz Walter , I was going to write a comment to denigrade this performance and then I read you comment which is so foolishly wrong.
If you like this performance then listen to it repeatedly but, as for me, I find it so un-Mozart. The tempo is too fast and the pianist has no bounce, or joy in his playing. I rest my case because there are so many things wrong. The only thing nice is the visual appeal of the performance.
I join Peter Fritz Walter in a great celebration of this matchless performance. When FredMyOpinion opines that s/he finds it "so un-Mozart", I know why so: "Mozartisch" would mean all those platitudes that one doesn't find here! This is RE-creating Mozart at his best, the creator-Mozart, devoid of the mannerisms and stupid Rococo "character" that so often puts squeezes him into a narrow box of "niceness". Kocsis is a phenomenon, and so is this music. Like wise, to object to "tempo" without understanding the clearest and finest articulation on Earth from a pianist, you don't seem to understand that there is no such thing as a "standard" tempo either. Thank goodness!

The best mozart s piece Ever his absolute masterpiece
Le CHEF-D'ŒUVRE ABSOLU DE GOTTLIEB MOZART
Strana.!... nervosa.!...senza respiro !
Vivace Puletti concordo, verissimo!

Ránki Dezsővel is készült felvétel, ő a bécsi Schönbrunn-i kastélyban játszott.
🥰👍
Rock me Amadeus
Why is he playing before his part? The piano introduction is one of the most important parts of the concerto and he has sullied it!
I would agree with you, except -- this is going to blow your mind -- look at the score. The piano does play before its *entrance*. I just saw it. Mostly I saw it double the cello part. I don't think it ruins the concerto if kept in the background. But I do think I prefer Perahia's version, without the doubling.
Continuo playing, look it up. He "sullied" nothing except maybe your own world of anachronistic, hypersentimental Mozart interpretations.
@@Kris9kris it wasnt necessary and betrayed the score.
@@2905sid …because all educated musicians know that in the classical-era, you only play what is strictly written in the score and nothing else, you don't play continuo in the classical concerto literature as it was not only customary, but expected in the 18th-century, and the literal execution of Mozart’s shorthand in the 491 is desirable as Ránki and so many others do it… Do you really want to start an argument over this, because you’re not going to convince anybody who has even the faintest idea of performance practice in Mozart’s time...
@@2905sid dude, I told you to look at the score. Mozart wrote that continuo. Read your own comment thread, and read the score before screaming "the score was betrayed"!

Che tristezza che è gia morto Tanto giovane
Nem megoszthato Facebookon, kar!
It is very curious that the soloist not just play the piano score but also makes an a accompainment to the orchestra. I had never heard something like this.
It appears this is the "real" way... Just read other comments in this video, some people have explained it.
it is more curious that the composition has been altered when Mozart wrote to play 'col basso'... why remove it!
hi
what's with the piano continuo at the beginning? in the score---sort of muddies up the textures. beginning is too fast and unfeeling. the soloist races too much.
idiot
A master can play. Mozart wouldn't have given a shit.
Bravo
