The transmission shop said they are going to have to rebuild my transmission again cause either the trans pump went bad or the torque converter went bad, on my 2020 camry. Man you were wright it under warranty from the last time and it will not cost me a penny to have it rebuild this time !!!!

I have Lancer 2013 and it started to whine when above 2500rpm after 10km of drive. Changed oil, the sound lowered a bit, but it comes up after 2000km of drive.
The only thing missing is the clarification of an audio on what the sound is like to determine if the protagonist is the transmission or power steering.
I have a 2011 Traverse. Its definitely making these noises andntheyre getting louder. So annoying. So how does one get the planetary gearset checked? Ive NEVER heard of this thing before. Is it costly to have repaired? Thank you for the video. Very informative
Have VW T5 minibus.... Put in a complete new clutch kit recently..... Drove okay for about a week or so then had trouble shifting again.... No leaks in the clutch line..... Have whining noise whenever in gear during acceleration and decelleration....but when i put in neutral the noise stops.... As i said it mostly shifts difficult in forward but shifts smoothly into reverse gear.... I doubt its thr pressure plate coz its brand new..... I suspect its the gearbox itself..... We changed the gearbox oil when fitting the new clutch kit

Anyway, it was driving me crazy trying to find it.... Today, I did. It seems that the torque converter packed it in, according to the code. Truck would barely move and especially struggled going uphill. Repair might well exceed vehicle value as I don't really have anywhere to do this kind of job. Sucks as the truck still looks new. There's no dipstick in these things but I did get new filter and fluids in '19 at an oil change place. Hmmm. Seems to be a common problem with these nonetheless.
Wonder if this could be happening on my 1989 ford probe gt. Whines when picking up speed. Nothing at idle but nice driving it does it and when it picked up sounds like a super charger! No leaks anywhere I do know we had a guy put new flywheel and clutch.. maybe it needs more fluids?
My friend's 2000 Honda only makes a humming noise between 35 and 55 MPH on the driver side. We thought it was the transmission because the noise is only at certain speed range, but the transmission is mounted on the passenger side. Any thoughts please?

Hi, Well, not really. It sounds like a radio control car with an electric motor. Do you get what I mean? Hold fluid came out clean and no shavings at all. So that was good. I think you should be fine. it's prolly just the way it sounds. @@kylegrygo244

Clean throttle body, check to make sure plastic engine cover is not rubbing into the injector\coil harness wires. Drain\fill and filter the trans, then in 5000 miles drain\fill it a few quarts again, its like 2.8 to 3.1 quarts for drain\fill, do not do all fluid at once. In an additional 5000 miles do a 3rd drain\fill and then check fluid color comparison and noise.
My 2012 6.2 f250 i just bought makes a very loud whining noise from the transmission. It shifts very strong, no slipping or lurching. I noticed the fluid is overfilled quite abit. Really upset because i want to find out exactly whats wrong without getting ripped off.

I have a 2002 E350 Van with 7.3 diesel and 4R100, it only whined / lower power when I was in the mountains and now more recently with the 105deg heat. I never hear anything or feel any issue until the transmission is "heat soaked". Is that normal with the fluids heating up and making the oil pump work harder? Would an after market transmission cooler resolve the issue? I had the transmission rebuilt and new torque converter installed 30k miles ago.
My transmission only makes a whine under heavy lateral acceleration. Taking right corners hard makes it whine. Then if you let off the gas for a couple seconds its fine. Its fine driving normally and in a straight line

The 4th or 5th gears are slipping. If your transmission fluids level is still good you probably have a failing transmission. It will cost thousands for a mechanic to fix it

@@JustUsLeagueAZ So it could be a few things but I still haven’t gotten it fixed or anything it’s just been in my lot. I’ve researched around on forums said it could just be the noise of the four-cylinder v4, the way Chevy has made them past the 2017 year model they are just very annoying and very loud. I haven’t done any of the major transmission oil maintenance yet so in my case, it could be my lack of maintenance on the vehicle. I’m at 75k miles and haven’t changed transmission oil yet. I’ll report back when I do but that might be the culprit. My MPG has suffered a lot, currently down to the 20-22 mpg range. This has been my first “new” car and I’m afraid I’ve neglected it too much (drove from state to state) and hopefully my transmission isn’t slipping or anything. It’s a good car but I would get another one if I could lol something cheaper that I could use because I’m not that good with cars LOLOL
Haven’t changed spark plugs either and I had a code pop up saying that one of my cylinders is misfiring. You could get a code reader online or take it to your local AutoZone and see if anything gets picked up. Once I address those issues I think car should be fine or else I’m fucked

Thanks for the informative video you just described my transmission winning noise,and gave me 3 reasons for my transmission failure.

100 percent he is correct my 2017 bmw 320i is at mechanic workshop they are replacing oil pump including timing chain i will come back with result

It sounds like the van is overworked going uphill and hot temperature also a factor. An external transmission cooler will certainly help.

What if you only hear whining in first gear?
My ZF8HP only makes the whining noise in reverse. If I go fast enough the sound goes away but it comes back as I slow down using the brakes.
