The Incredibles Movie Description:
The Incredibles is a 2004 American computer-animated superhero film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Written and directed by Brad Bird, it stars the voices of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Spencer Fox, Jason Lee, Samuel L. Jackson, and Elizabeth Peña. Set in a retro-futuristic version of the 1960s, the film follows Bob and Helen Parr, a couple of superheroes, known as Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, respectively, who hide their powers in accordance with a government mandate, and attempt to live a quiet suburban life with their three children. However, Bob's desire to help people draws the entire family into a confrontation with a vengeful fan-turned-foe.
Bird, who was Pixar's first outside director, developed the film as an extension of the 1960s comic books and spy films from his boyhood and personal family life. He pitched the film to Pixar after Warner Bros.' box office disappointment of his first feature, The Iron Giant (1999), and carried over much of its staff to develop The Incredibles. The animation team was tasked with animating an all-human cast, which required creating new technology to animate detailed human anatomy, clothing, and realistic skin and hair. Michael Giacchino composed the film's orchestral score.
The Incredibles debuted at the El Capitan Theatre on October 24, 2004, and was released in theaters in the United States on November 5. It earned $632 million worldwide, finishing its theatrical run as the fourth-highest-grossing film of 2004. The Incredibles received widespread acclaim from critics and audiences, with praise for its animation, screenplay, action sequences, sound design, humor, voice acting, themes, music, and appeal to different age groups, and is frequently considered to be one of the greatest superhero movies of all time. It won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Sound Editing with two additional nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Sound Mixing, as well as winning the Annie Award for Best Animated Feature. It was the first entirely animated film to win the prestigious Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation. A sequel, Incredibles 2, was released in June 2018.

I guess a potential Incredibles 3 should add a dog to the Parr family who posses superpowers and is called “Incredidog.” That way Brian Griffin and Santa’s Little Helper can have an Incredibles equivalent.
Syndrome’s name is a reference to Hero Syndrome, a condition where a person creates dangerous situations so that they can play the “hero”, which is exactly what Syndrome did in the movie.
Wow. I didn't realize there was an actual name for that. In retrospect, there are actually alot of characters in alot of movies who have that condition. Even none superhero movies. 🤯

The "no school like the old school" men are cameos from Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, the last survivors of Disneys' ORIGINAL animation team (a group known as the "Nine Old Men.") Brad Bird studied under them and included them in this movie & The Iron Giant in tribute.

If you hadn't watched a bootleg you would have seen "Jack-Jack Attack". A short that shows what happened while Jack-Jack is being babysat. Great short.
I never noticed as a kid this is supposed to be set in the 1960's. That means the opening was in the 40's or 50's, when superhero comics were first taking off.
I grew up with The Incredibles I remember going to see Incredibles 2 as an adult pushing kids and mad because they didn't grow up with this classic it's different having grown up with it than watching it after the fact it's just a different feeling. This is the best Pixar movie other than Toy Story.

I enjoy it almost more watching something that you love. If its a first time watch, you could have a bad time. When its a favorite, you know you are gonna have fun and so are we.
Honestly this movie isn’t great for younger kids in comparison with other Pixar movies, as much of the plot and humor will go over their heads, but it is a good one
It is a good superhero film in its own right, a good superhero PARODY film, and touches on a lot of deeper issues related to family, etv
8:30 The names are even better than that. They're their powers. Dash is super fast -"dash". Violet has powers that bend light waves or "ultra-violet" lights waves. And Jack-Jack is a jack of all trades.
I actually like that they’re letting Dash compete and encourage him to place rather than have him get first by a small margin. It feels like his challenge is being able to control the pace he runs at more than anything. Some of his troubles with the run on the island was going too fast to change direction. Also seen in the race at school at the end, his pace looks so sus, he doesn’t really have much of a sense of that. He only knows how to run as fast as he can rather than really knowing how to keep better control of his speed which can honestly open up new possibilities to potential uses of his powers.
I’d love to see him going to Edna about what was the one glaring issue with her design tho which was the bugs. Wondering how this kid would do on skates too. Something they’d have to consider is also possible tripping hazards because at that speed, it’d be really easy to wrench an ankle or smth. The suit may be bulletproof but it’s not twist proof. Honestly I think Edna would be pretty hyped about the challenge of fine tuning a suit for Dash.

It’s awesome watching your inner child come out watching this movie especially considering the fact that this is my favorite Pixar movie of all time too. Wanted EVERY toy😂 and I had the games for GameCube and DSI
One of my favorite things is that if you look at the scene where Mrs. incredible looks at herself she is sad that her bottom has gotten bigger and her hips have gotten wider. Yet you absolutely find her beautiful as do I. That really is the ideal shape and women have been taught to think that thin is better.
20:55 Kronos was the Titan King in Greek mythology who devoured his children, the Gods. Trying to get rid of those with power who could overthrow his own power like Syndrome/Buddy is trying to overthrow the superheroes with actual powers so he could play at being an actual hero.
The romans called him Saturn - there's two famous paintings of him devouring the gods.

If you had the bootleg version, you may not have seen the 2 short films that come with this movie. One of them is called "jack jack attack" and shows us what happened with jackjack and the babysitter before syndrome arrived. It's really cool to see all his powers before the second movie came out. He's a "Jack of all trades", which is why his name is Jack Jack, as the kids all have names that represent their powers. The second short film isn't about the incredibles characters, but it is really good and worth the watch! It's called "Boundin". A lot of Pixar movies have random animated short films that go along with them, you should do a video watching them! Monsters Inc. has a good one as well, called "for the birds" and so does the second Incredibles film. If you saw it in theatres you probably saw the short film that goes along with it, it's called "Bao" and it's really touching. The shorts are each only a couple minutes long, but you'd be impressed with the stories they're able to get across in such a short time. Some are really emotional but most are just very funny or interesting.

Seeing this in theaters was one of my greatest movie experiences ever. Was maybe 12 years old, and damn did I hold onto every single second. I can't remember ever feeling as hyped as I did during Dash's big chase scene.
And you know aside from the fact that there's no surprises in movies you've seen, it's always interesting to me what a Ytber I regularly watch would assess about certain parts of the movie, his perspective, his viewpoint and so on. I definitely don't think it's that much different from movies you've never seen, imo
Top 5 is probably Toy Story 1-3, Incredibles 1, and Ratatouille. Favorite character is tough, the main cast is all very likable and iconic. Tbh maybe Syndrome, he's the perfect villain for a comedy like this, but genuinely evil as well. Man was about to kill children with missiles while their dad was begging him for mercy. F'ed up

I couldn’t take Syndrome serious as a hero. The robot shot at him one time and flew away, ran into a wall and got knocked out the whole time 😂😂
The incredibles is one of my all time favorite disney movies, It came out a year after I was born so I watched it when I was a little older, and even now I love it. My mom also loves this movie and we saw the sequel in theaters, and we loved it too, especially jack jack and Edna 😂😂.
We did wonder why they added a few swear words but we both realized that, it had been almost 15 years since the first movie and the writers probably thought that a lot of kids and adults would want to see it so they probably added adult words for the adults
I saw it again a few weeks later, I was doing a pre college summer program were we got to stay at the dorms and everyday they had groups activities and would take us to the movies and we got to pick 1 out of 3 movies to watch. The choices were the incredibles 2, Toy Story 4 and uncle buck, i didn’t care for uncle buck at the time, I had the feeling i wouldn’t like Toy Story 4 so I went with the incredibles 2
I was with my friends and we had fun and I got to see some things I missed the first time, it was better the second time😊. And since I already saw it there was another girl who watched it and we just kept on reanacting jack jack’s best scenes 😂😂
