One thing I've noticed is that Ben Stiller Owen Wilson and Jim Carrey all made characters very similar in the past like being mean or off putting to there friends 😅 king of that type of acting is Adam Sandler though the teasing your friends acting 😂🎉 love movie just the same though your guys reactions are always awesome 👍😎
Man, that was like him saying goodbye forever, it's like he knew that he's not gonna be here for so long. Secret of the Tomb might not be a perfect movie but it truly ends his career in a high note of a performance
The old night guards did say that the tablet made them feel young again. It's a real possibility that Larry doesn't even need sleep anymore, as long as he works nights with the tablet there.
Actually hadn't even thought of that. These guys boggle my mind though lol. When I was a kid my dad went to work at night from around 6 and didn't get home until 4 in the morning. His second job was from 8am until 2:30pm, then he'd pick me and my sister up from school, take a nap while we watched TV, and drop us off at our moms after she got out of work. So, to the reactors, that's when people like that sleep. Very little and whenever they can.
The real comedy gold of this Night At The Museum trilogy is whenever Jedediah or Octavius or both of them together screamed then it cuts to a shot far away from them then cuts back to a close up of them then cuts back to a far shot, it's so hilarious every time I watched that scene. Feels like the editors of the movies were having the time of their lives 😂😂😂
Robin Williams as Theodore Roosevelt was the best part of this movie to the point where I would've definitely wanted to see an actual Theodore Roosevelt biopic starring Williams. Sad that we will never get to see that, rest in peace comedy legend 😥🙏
"I ain't quittin you." is a direct reference to Brokeback Mountain, which came out a year before this. And Steven Coogan admitted to playing Octavius as if he had a secret crush on Jebediah
I don’t usually look for subtext and it’s not something that ever crosses my mind when a great bromance Carrie’s a film, but for some reason I just couldn’t NOT see it immediately. And yeah, the broke back quote really doesn’t help that. 😂
All the funnier because in Ancient Rome, homosexuality was not only tolerated but EXPECTED, especially between members of nobility/people in powerful positions and those beneath them. It was considered an ultimate show of your dominance as a male to top another male beneath you. Making it a historical in-joke about Octavius respecting Jed secretly to the point of developing attraction AND being willing to submit to him as well... a HUGE sign of male on male respect in Rome.
Alan Silvestri's score for the Night At The Museum trilogy is some of the most underrated composing work that he has ever done. The opening credits where it had an exclusive theme song for the movie is pitch perfect!
If I am not mistaken, Trevor Rabin (National Treasure) and Alan Silvestri put samples of each other's music into their respective movies. Well, at least for Battle for the Smithsonian.
Shawn Levy recently said in an interview, that back when he wanted to be an actor, the roles he was audtioning for usually went to Paul Rudd, so when he got the job to direct Night At The Museum he hired Paul Rudd to be a part of his movie.
Every time I go back to revisit watching this gem of a movie, I always somehow *forget* that Paul Rudd cameos and says one of my favorite lines I quote every freaking winter when I'm cold. "Chilly, chilly, chilly.. Willy, the Penguin!"
That is such a Big Man thing to do, dude. I'm sure others would harbor resentment and vindictiveness, and I'm sure part of it is a little bit of a power move, now that HE'S the boss giving the other guy a job. But it's cool that he didn't hold any spite.
What?? I’m sorry but this can’t be yours guys first time watching this great movie, but if it is your going to enjoy it from start to finish, this is one of my fav childhood movies, and Theodore Roosevelt played by robin Williams(may he rest in peace) was my fav historical figure lol

Anne Meara was 85 when she passed away in 2015. Ben comes by his talent honestly. His mom and his dad, Jerry Stiller, were huge comedic stars in the 1960s.
This movie was released at Christmas, and I remember going Christmas eve to see it. I think its a great children's movie where you can tell all the big "stars" are having fun with it.
Gervais. You got his name right, just not the spelling (which I don't blame you, lots of names have multiple spellings). People accidentally misspell my name all the time because it doesn't follow the traditional spelling. I imagine it was really hard to keep a straight face while acting in this movie 😂
Alan Menken wrote music for a Night At The Museum stage musical. They're in the workshop phase rn. Probably another yr or two before it premieres on an actual stage.

i love how it's kept vague if the museum director knows about the exhibits coming to life or not. him asking larry after the first night about octavius and jedediah could either mean 'why did you replace these miniatures?' or 'how did the roman miniature get into the other exhibit?'.
and at the end of the movie he might not ask larry about how there are dinosaur footprints in the snow and stuff cuz he knows the museum comes to life and the 'do you have an explanation for this?' might just mean 'how did they manage to get out?'.
This means that you have to react to the second and third chapters at the museum.
great reaction. 🙌🙌
The party at the end of this movie is legendary it’s a one piece straw hats level party
I feel so old!!! Almost 30 here, and I remember seeing Night At The Museum when it first released. I can’t believe it’s been over 15 years… NATM was a really fun movie and I can’t wait to see Deadpool this coming weekend!
it was just robin williams’ birthday what great timing. even funnier timing, this was directed by Shawn Levy who’s got Deadpool & Wolverine coming right around the corner!
Can’t wait to see u guys react to the second movie, personally I like it more than the first
I love the sequel - so keen for you guys to react to it 👏🏼
oh heck yeah dudes!!! this is one of my childhood classics. absolutely amazing. the second one is great too
Thomas Lennon co wrote this. He’s also a funny actor(Reno 911). He’s on the second one as one of the wright brothers.
FYI: the temp agency lady is or was Ben Stillers mom.
Now this is what I originally subscribed for...John and Greg reacting.

One of those days I see a notification for a video and know my day is about to get ten times better!
fun fact about this movie. owen wilson developed a heroin addiction with steve coogan, leading owen to almost kill himself later that year. he was supposed to be the agent in tropic thunder.
Buddy that's a far cry from a "fun" fact
I'm eager to see y'alls reaction to the sequel when there's two Monkeys!!😂
