Did you know in Metal Gear Solid, you can get all these interesting camera angles from enemies such as Psycho Mantis and Sniper Wolf? #gaming #fyp #retro #shorts #playstation

@@Serpiente-Solida Well I actually played MGS1 first myself, I was 12 when I first played the PS1 Version back in 1998 and when I played MGS2 that's how I felt as well, it makes sense due to The Big Shell Incident being a deliberate reenactment of The Shadow Moses Incident
The censorship can go also in another way, completely, without necessarily zooming to do that. I don't remember if before or just after defeating the soldiers with Meryl disguised, but it implies the vent glitch to go to the torture room without having the Lv. 6 card. In fact, after escaping the cell once we do the glitch, Johnny will be completely uncensored 😅
@@DutchVanDerLindo you crouch down and the camera angle moves if you're near the dead bodies. Okay. Also in mgs2 there is a Vulcan raven figure on the floor. Playing through mgs as a kid, because of these unique angles I was convinced those unique angles meant there where secret interactions you could do. Like heal the breathing soldier or use ravens mini gun 🤣
Funfact: Johnny is a grandfather of Johnny, who guarded Naked Snake's cell after he was captured & tortured by Volgin in MGS3. Then MGS4 would have a grandson (or son?) named Johnny as well, a.k.a Johnny Sasaki or Akiba, who'd marry Meryl in the ending scene.
Johnny in MGS3 is indeed the grandfather of Johnny from MGS1, 2 and 4, yes. MGS3 Johnny's son was called Johnny too. So at least 3 generations were called Johnny and we get to see the grandfather and the grandson. We never see the father/son.
The first one is not a darpa, Only Decoy Octopus who fooled Snake into giving the activation codes and Baker said that they both had something to resist the power Mantis
This game was well ahead of its time, Do you know it is a few games that lets you take a picture with the ingame camera Item and saves it in the memory card back in the ps1 era
Now this I didn’t know! This game is the best with attention to detail. Really wish it was properly remade without the over the top nonsense twin snakes had
Crazy theory, but are these deceased camera angles not from angles used in cutscenes? Essentially, this would mean that the gameplay is just reusing cutscene camera framing for immersive and added effect.

"That's the stench of a Vet. Been pooping myself for years."
The hallway scene with the massacre is something that left a long lasting impression on me as a kid.
That was some brutal stuff.
X2
Haha same
Yeah it reminds me of when Vamp massacred the Navy Seal Alpha Unit on Strut B of The Big Shell during the Plant Chapter of MGS2

Still discovering new things about the masterpiece even in 2024.
Phenomenal game.
I remember I loved seeing these angles, they made the game look like a movie
That would be the cutscenes
Sniper Wolf's death is so sad. And Otacon's conversation with Snake afterwards makes it even more memorable.

Thanks Piccolo
what did kojimby mean by this
They even have multiple angles depending on where you sit
Dude definitely said Psycho Mantis like that on purpose 😂
the genomes on the hallway . the one the ninja murdered actually have more than one angle per each soldier .
I knew this, but never really put much thought into it. Amazing game with great detail.
