- My kart felt so unbalanced, not sure what it was. I left a bunch of guys go by around 3:40, and then spend the next lap or two trying to force the tires to heat up. I also pull my seat all the way forward, which I almost never do, but have been playing with recently when having kart issues and it seems to help on some occasions.
After that, I start to catch back up really nice, but I still don't have a really solid lap for the rest of the race (although good enough for P3 I guess).

Nice! Your back off and warm tire strat paid dividends
i just started karting and my best lap for this track was around 58. are there any tips you would suggest? i also have a sim at home that i drive on everyday. i’m amazed at how short your times are.
Most of my races are League races, and the karts are configured significantly faster for Leagues.
If you're doing a Speed 3 race (aka "Pro" which almost all public races are) good times are like 54s.
If you're doing Speed 2 (aka "semi pro") that they do for younger kids, 58s is a good time as normally Speed 2 is much slower.
So depends on that first 🙂. Aside from that, I first bought a GoPro to help improve my times. Sometimes what feels right in the moment doesn't work out. I think reviewing my footage after each race is what helped me learn most, and talking to other drivers / watching their footage as well.
Specific to Track 2, the downhill and the final hairpin are the biggest challenges for most people, so focus on those 👍
Yo, somehow my gamertag is the same as your youtube name, anyway your content is great
Haha nice, and thanks!!
