- It's our first day in England and we are spending it exploring London and finding unique and fun things to do. We visit the Sky Garden, Leadenhall Market, make our own little walking tour across the Tower Bridge over to Borough Market. On our second day we take a London music tour with Rock Cab Tours before checking out Berwick Street. We have loved visiting London England for the first time, but we have plenty more to explore in London and will be setting off on an epic UK road trip, so make sure you're subscribed and stay tuned.

Just a quick fyi big ben is the name of the bell and the tower is called the Elizabeth tower as it was changed from the clock tower to the Elizabeth tower back on 2012 to mark the diamond jubilee of Elizabeth II

I'm from London and it still amazes me when I go to the city and see things I haven't seen before.
That's amazing. There were so many things we missed that we would have liked to see, I'm sure the list is just never-ending possibilities.
wow. half you showed didnt exist when I moved to London 30 years ago. the other half has been there for over a thousand years! London is without doubt the Greatest city on earth!
We certainly loved it!
As an American who has lived in London for many years, for any people wanting to see some things a bit different, I recommend taking South Wester Rail from Waterloo to Hampton Court Palace. There was a lot to see at the palace but cross the bridge onto the south side and there are some excellent restaurants and pubs. Then, walk along the Thames heading south. You'll pass Molesey Cricket Club and Molesey Boat Club and then the path opens onto fields. It's a beautiful, little slice of England.

@@Sam_Green____4114 Technically, it is outside of London. Once you cross over Hampton Court Bridge onto the south side, you're no longer in London. You're into beautiful Surrey.

As a child I used to get a bus for 12p to Hampton Court, climb in over the wall and play all day in the gardens.

Great entertaining video. Leadenhall Market in the late afternoon to evening is buzzing Monday to Friday with all the City workers drinking. Love it there! At Christmas it is beyond magical with all the decorations they put up. Slightly further down from The Sky Garden is... The Garden At 120! (120 Fenchurch Street) That is also free, and no need to book and is beyond amazing as it is a large roof terrace with exceptional views. Worth checking out and inches from Leadenhall Market. The Church All Hallows By The Tower is very old with a crypt (free!) worth visiting to see their Roman pavement and small museum and ancient chapels. The Tower of London's moat is being planted with flowers as a special one off in 2022 for Queen Elizabeth 2nd Platinum Jubliee, 70 years on the throne, celebration.

@@bobbierocksbuster5584 yeah right go to a field instead of the capital of England. The Lake District is nice but they probably have plenty of other nice lakes in America too. But yes if you have more time. Liverpool, Brighton, Bournemouth and maybe the Lake District are good additions to your trip for England in roughly that order.
Well, you taught me something new, as a Londoner I'd never heard of Sky garden, and so glad it's free, booking tickets soon, as I'm taking annual leave and want to roam around hidden parts of my beautiful, gorgeous city.

@@pittarak1 ...also for older generations like myself, the Union Flag was the only flag that mattered in past decades - if you look at video footage of England playing West Germany in the 1966 World Cup final you will see the Union Flag not the England flag.

Great vlog! Those bus tours are without doubt the best way to see what's what. Many will allow you to get off at a sight then get back on.

I lived in London for 8 years until 2016 and it had opened when I was there, but I've never been to the Sky Garden - it looks great. Maybe when I go back as a tourist, I'll head there early as you suggest!

I'm a Londoner. I've always loved Tower Bridge, but maybe it's because my Great Grandfather helped build it. As you've now seen the moat at the Tower Of London, you might enjoy YT vid 'The Tower of London Poppies'. It was an art installation commemorating the British and Colonial soldiers who died in WW1

My one recommendation, concerning souvenir shops, would be to avoid almost all of the ones in the tourist hotspots, as they're full of junk from China. The best shops for gifts that I've found (I've lived in London since 1990) are the shop opposite the Royal Mews (forgotten its name), Buckingham Palace and the shop inside the Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace. They are 30 yards apart and much of the merchandise is a least made here

It is an amazing city!
London is always a great city to visit there is so much to see and do, with a lot history and it looks even better in the sun, but i remember going to London in the summer, sometime in August about 6 years ago and the weekend i went the temperature was 95F it was so hot! i remember walking around all the tall buildings with no breeze hardly any air and so stuffy i remember thinking i was going to pass out lol, i had run into the nearest pub to get a drink. i like high temps but much rather be on a beach when its that hot. looks like you packed a lot in on your visit.
Oh wow that sounds hot. We lucked out with the weather ourselves. We tried to see as much as we could, but we still missed a lot.
I watched the Back to the Future Musical on its opening week, it was amazing! Glad you enjoyed London.

Always interesting seeing a foreigners view of my country. Used to work in London for 16 years, and up till last year sailed on the River Thames. When you grow up and live in a place you take it for granted. I have worked locally in Dartford for the past 8 years so not been London for a while even though it's only a 25 min train journey away from where I live in Kent. I sail on the river medway near Rochester and Chatham now. I recommend Rochester castle, Chatham dockyard. Great video, lots of energy. 👍 Welcome to the UK
