Love this video, I definitly reccomend checking out the famous museums. The british museum, the national history museum and the V&A museum. They are are most well known museums and very big, so you won't be able to see them all in one day XD
Hello Jeremy & Cara - looks like you are having a lovely “foodie” time in Borough Market - now please, polite request - but heartfelt! - when you go back to the USA, would you PLEASE tell all your friends, families, acquaintances, work mates, that British food is GOOD - excellent in fact - and all those rumours about our food being boring, bland, inedible is a complete and utter untruth! Most of what you eat/have eaten is additive and fake tastes and colourings free and what you eat is true and fresh foods… I am thanking you in anticipation, for I, like many British people are fed up with some “reactors” saying that “our food” (that they have probably never even tried!) is awful - continue enjoying your holiday here, I am loving your vlogs, seeing my country through YOUR eyes❤️thank you xx
The story about British food being bland has its origin in ww2. When the Americans arrived 2 years after the war had begun and during rationing, the food was indeed bland (according to my parents). The American soldiers went home and told everyone that that the food was awful and that everyone had bad teeth. After food shortages, rationing and bombing and with almost all medical personnel being involved in the war effort, dentists and exotic food were pretty low on the priority list. However, the war ended in 1945...
@@robgoodwin8329 yes…. HOW MANY YEARS AGO?? 😡😡🙄😱and it’s still spoken about as if it’s right now! It irks me that “their” food - and the fact that most (if not all!) cannot be imported into the UK or any European counterpart because it contains banned food colourings, artificial flavours and additives - is conveniently overlooked or they just are unaware of it? But they still bang on about “tasteless, bland non event foods that lack ‘flavor, seasonings and surprise’ - their food by all accounts HAS to be full of god knows what, to disguise its impurities! @@robgoodwin8329 In the early stages of the war an American team headed up by a General was sent to London. His task to develop strategies for linking with and developing the war effort Churchill insisted on weekly briefings at 10 Downing Street over dinner. A favourite with the Americans was Irish Stew. The General? Dwight D Eisenhower.
The best way to get to Camden Market is to go to Little Venice and take a barge from there to Camden. Little Venice is so tranquil, the boat trip along Regent's Canal takes you through landscaped gardens of stately homes and then you get off the boat into the hustle and bustle of the market. You can also walk alongside the canal from Little Venice to Camden. Both ways are very enjoyable and you can work up an appetite either way.
I'm American and London is amazing to me. Very busy but not overly so like NYC can feel. Borough Market is a must stop every time I visit. Wish I could remember the falafel shop (the one next to the beer stall) Not a huge falafel guy but it's the best I've ever tried and a must stop for me when in London. My wife and I had planned to retire there once the kids were off to college. (she bailed on me last year so I guess it will just be me relocating.)
…I’ve got my elderly parents living on exmoor in Devon hooked on your adventures since they’ve never been to London and are loving watching your experience eating and travelling around as they’ve never been able to do what you youngsters can enjoy!! Keep up the videos as we are LOVING THEM!! Xx
I live in Wales and every trip to London Camden Town is a must go place to spend the day. Amazing food, excellent markets and pubs. Amazing friendly people. Just an amazing place to visit so much going on there.
Primrose Hill has one of London's protected views. Those are 8 lines of sight of St Paul's cathedral dome that cannot have any tall buildings constructed that would block the view. A good example of this is the Leadenhall building, known as the cheese grater due to its shape, which had to be given a wedge shaped profile so that its top wouldn't infringe on the protected view
I use to go to Borough market quite often pick up some treats then walk along to Shad Thames for lunch by the river. Camden is great my neice from NZ loved it so much. Its does my heart good to see London back to life, a city is not a city without its people and so many are now back out and about.
I remember seeing videos of London with empty streets. Definitely a weird vibe. I think it was the first nice weekend of the year, so it was nice to see everyone out and about.
Hey. I am a watcher from the UK and I've just discovered your channel. A great comfort watch and you seem like pretty good kids! Hope you have enjoyed out eccentric country and people !
if you find yourselves back in camden, you HAVE to try bang bang chicken - in terms of food, i can’t think of anything more popular there! i’ve often gotten the tube to camden just so i can munch on it, so it’s definitely a must-try x
As a Brit, living in the US, I was very jealous watching you eat all that delicious food. Having lived in the US for 40 years, I can't believe the price of donuts! Also, having had a gastric bypass 26 years ago, I was totally envious seeing the amount of food you both tucked away. I eat 7 ounces of food a day but, I had a lot of pleasure just watching you both eat. Great video. Cheers.
Hey to you both! I watched your videos the other day and the way you present and come across is amazing. I saw this video before going to London today and tailored my trip around Camden and Borough Market areas! I followed your recommendation for the sausage roll from the Ginger Pig (as well as the spicy lamb one) and they were really nice. Thanks for the video, keep posting as you guys are so down to earth and relatable!
A brilliant video! The only problem was that, after 10 minutes, I had to take a break and make myself a snack. Borough Market is a superb place for top-quality foods (and has been ever since the 1300's). Keep up the good work......................................the ancient Englishman.
Now you've gotta tell all your friends that the myth about British food being bland and tasteless is exactly that,a bloody myth, all that stuff you ate looked fantastic.
The hilarious thing is the American myth that British food is bad stems from the World War 2 where American soldiers where stationed in the UK, during a time when Britain had food rationing and the Americans thought this was the normal standard of British food and this is where the bad reputation of food in Britain. I think in the 1970s and 1980s British people just saw food as functional, but in the last 30 years Britain has become a nation of foodies and with Immigrant from around the world the standard of British food has become incredible. I think British food now is far better than American food because Britain has strong food regulation, which the USA doesn't have so there is a high standard for natural and fresh food that doesn't exist in the USA. There was that true that Tesco opened stores in the US called Fresh and Green. Because Tesco was going by British food standards, they rebranded their American stores as health food stores, because basic British food standards where so much higher natural compared to American super market food standards.
That myth mostly stems from the disgusting stuff that comes out of Wales and Scotland, like laver bread (which looks like green turd) and haggis. English food is wholesome stuff like full english breakfasts, amazing roast dinners, beef wellington, fish and chips, steak and ale pie, cornish pasties, sticky toffee pudding, victoria sponge cake... the list goes on. Plus the best chefs in the world go where the money is, to global megacities like London and New York, so you'll find some of the best food in the world, from all cuisines, in London. Fact.
Just before you enter Camdon Market there is a stall on the street. It's an old Chinese guy and he sells Chinese food. He is famouse for his Bang, bang chicken and people call him the Bang, bang chicken man. His Bang, bang chicken is just wonderful. And you get a lot for your money.
I live near Camden, but always avoided it because it’s so busy and overwhelming. But your trip is really making me want to check out the same foods. Looks amazing! But Borough market is one of my favourite places in London.
I love Borough Market, and now's the perfect time to visit, while it's less crowded and before summer. It can get a bit overbearing on a crowded hot Saturday
We have popped over to Borough market on our anniversary visit for the first time ever too, and loved it! I was heartbroken to not be able to find the world famous doughnuts though... so vicariously enjoying them through you now!
Sausage rolls like these are really easy to make at home, including the pastry. Search "River Cottage Big Sausage Rolls" will take you to my favourite recipe (YT doesn't usually like links in comments). The only way to mess them up is to not egg wash them before baking, although if your kitchen is hot you may need to rest the dough in the fridge for a bit halfway.
You can actually get them in Shepherd's Bush or Marylebone (they have shops there) then get a bus or tube to Camden. Saves you from having to go to London Bridge.
The Ginger Pig sausage rolls are amazing! Worth a trip to London just for those I think. Borough and Camden are the bigger food markets but there are lots of other street food markets in London, especially on Sundays. Herne Hill is a good one I think.

When you visit London again you have visited east London and tried pie and mash with liquor sauce it's a traditional east end meal. Very unique and very yummy.
I like that lady she reminds me of my relative from new jersey Baskin ridge talking about there o, bagel franchise in Manhattan.when they came to Sydney Australia
potato anc cheese is one of britains best foods i enjoy fris covered in melted cheese, the best sausage rolls are the home made ones, those you tried are great, you can get abag full of mini donuts, we usually get those while we walked around with the kids, they kept em quiet for half hour, the sticky toffee fudge donuts are great too... disappointed you didnt find the jellied eel store lol
wow loved the whole video and all the food too! that corn dogs looked amazing! what a great two days and meeting up with local friends is awesome too! watching and subscribing to them too!
Glad you are enjoying my home town ...I've lived in north London ( it's important to clarify which side of the river you are from ) dodgy lot over the river 🤣🤣 almost 60 years ..have a great time it's an amazing city ...try pie and mash if you haven't already manzes are very good or Goddards in Greenwich 🙂
Haha lol. I'm from and allot of good food better than England to. But stil there is Much better food in in the world and all countries have nice local foods
Me and the mrs are regulars at the Ginger Pig, we get our Xmas roasts there. I'm at Borough market about 2-3 days a week, I can't help myself! Really glad you're finding our local hotspots!

So happy you have done this series of vlogs …having been lucky to travel a lot ( including the USA several times ) sadly the people I have met on my travels had a huge misconception that British food is “bland and tasteless” …which of course is completely false! Like every country we have some foods that leave much to be desired …but on the most part we have some amazing food…using only the best ingredients and without most of the ‘nasties’ that are commonly added to everything in other countries …so thank you !!! So happy you enjoyed your stay on our beautiful island !!! Yes we are an island …something a lot of people also forget 😂🙈💞💞

Hi, just started watching .. love that you seem to enjoy your time here in England. I live in Devon ... unbelievably Im watching this and suddenly , at 11.03 I see my daughter walk past you .. gave me quite a turn lol .. its a small world afterall!

When you visit London again you have visited east London and tried pie and mash with liquor sauce it's a traditional east end meal. Very unique and very yummy.
Thank you for the suggestion! For sure we will try that next time.
O boy you two have got an appetite. Enjoyed your video good luck you too
If you're sci-fi fans, then Primrose Hill is also one of the locations mentioned in H.G. Wells The War of the Worlds.
Oh, that's really cool!
I like that lady she reminds me of my relative from new jersey Baskin ridge talking about there o, bagel franchise in Manhattan.when they came to Sydney Australia
Was in London recently myself had the best time :)) jealous of how much food you got!
London is awesome!
potato anc cheese is one of britains best foods i enjoy fris covered in melted cheese, the best sausage rolls are the home made ones, those you tried are great, you can get abag full of mini donuts, we usually get those while we walked around with the kids, they kept em quiet for half hour, the sticky toffee fudge donuts are great too...
disappointed you didnt find the jellied eel store lol
We'll have to try at least a bit of jellied eel next time we go.

Me and the mrs are regulars at the Ginger Pig, we get our Xmas roasts there. I'm at Borough market about 2-3 days a week, I can't help myself! Really glad you're finding our local hotspots!
Sounds great! Thanks!
So glad you went to Borough & Camden Markets to try some of the food, those sausage rolls and doughnuts look amazing! and the burger i would definitely try, yum!. the corn dogs looked good too but i have never had them. Love Camden its been a few years since i last went but i love the quirky shops, did you go into any pubs while you was in the uk?
We did visit some pubs, but really didn't check any out until after we left London.
@@TheMagicGeekdom Thats good to hear that you went in some pubs, there are some great ones up and down the country and of course some not so good ones lol. hope you enjoyed your time here.
That sausage roll was Massive, I have to get one of those also I have to try the raclette it looks very tasty
Both were amazing!
Wow guys, that looked fun. That caramel donut was really naughty, but I was eating it with you 😋 Loving your videos, more pleeeeeaaaaase. Have fun and stay safe 🥰
Thanks, Chris!
ok, having found your channel this morning this is my fourth viewed upload, the binge is on LOL (apart from stopping for a donut break)
Awesome! Thank you for watching!
Just found your channel! Idk if you’ll read this but the travel aspect of your relationship is so badass! Would love to know more about the back story of you and Jeremy-how did you guys get into this, where are you from, how did y’all meet?
Some of the best food I've ever had was during my trips to the UK.
Aaaaaagh! The first USA review of UK food that tells the truth! It’s not WW2 any more. Rationing ended in 1954. We have food. And it’s good.
Lol are there are lot of people out there hating on UK food? 99% of what we tried was amazing.
Hello American chums, I love Borough Market. There is a spice stall there called "spice mountain " worth a look. They have some good curry mixes
Thanks for the tip!
💜👍💜 love borough market.. Yes had to see where uncle Roger filmed...not made it to Camden yet👍👍👍👍 many thanks for the video👍👍
Thanks for watching! You should visit Camden!
Spitalfields Market is worth a visit, near Liverpool Street station. Not just a food market, however. Lots of cool art and other stuff
Thanks for the suggestion! We wanted to visit Spitalfields Market but ran out of time. Hopefully next time!
You two are so wholesome!
The falafal wrap looks yum and pineapple juice
They were both tasty!
You guys enjoyed some really nice looking food. I am tempted to take the train over the Camden tomorrow but just remembered the highly paid train drivers decided to take strike action again 😒 I love the alternative scene there and such a great vibe.
I love Camden, I need to go back, the food is awesome
So good! Thanks for watching 😃
Right, imma head into Camden tomorrow to eat some of that stuff
Lol sounds good!
Hi I love your videos hope your enjoying England have fun ❣️👍
Wonderful tour by the way!!!
You guys have to try a Beef sandwich from part Denmark called Jutland. It's basically a large burger with gravy, so good. Great video btw.
Thanks for the tip!
