@LittlepepeMYJAVA The song is "Bad water rising" by our dear friend Carl Reuter "Big ol' Bluesman" who unfortunately passed away a few months ago ... RIP
Hi Tim, the goal was to get a stamp/marker in a tree on the right side. What we didn't know is that the landowner had graded a v-gully and a top winch should have been used ;-) Invaluable lessons indeed! Feel free to read the full story (see in video description) ...
I am with you on this one, i worked at garage that specializes in landrover. They built a competition landrover that competes against Toyota's and highly specialized vehicles. They win 9 out of 10 times, it has won an event with a broken gearbox casing, no gearbox oil. they just coverd the gearbox up with a garbage bag so that no sand can get in during the dune climbs.
no probs, australia (where im from) has them, a few fourbys run em, mostly comp trucks tho, uk i think has them too, seem to recall seeing them advertised in some british landrover magazines i have
I returned from a visit to my mother last year to find my Series III up to its windscreen in water in an underground car park. I removed my shoes and trousers, waded in, started it up and drove home with no problem, other than a soggy arse and a nasty smell. It'd been there for two weeks. Bear in mind, it's a hydrophobic V8 petrol too, not even a diesel. They're solid beasts these Land Rovers.
Not sure if this was already mentioned in comments, but holy smokes there sure were a lot of people sitting/standing within the danger zone! If any of those winch cables would've snapped, people could've gotten badly injured. Other than that, I enjoyed watching this video. Thanks for sharing.
All those people standing so close to those cables which are super dangerous when snapped under load. I can't believe those people are just standing within range of that, absolute madness
Marvelous! Fabulous! He's my hero forever! The most beautiful motor show I ever seen! I'm sure the entire world hafta be jaw-hanging in disbelief, with all this magic mesmerizing people! I'm getting mad about going early morning to buy some 4X4 and begin to learn some of all that incredible tech. OMG! Wow! Lmfao! What have I lost all my life?
Someone forgot there scooter gear at home lol. Got to love the Defender and it's built purpose. So sad they stopped production of such a wonderful vehicle.
only with the difference that a defender got a permanent four wheel drive system, no leaf springs at the back, much better angles all around and is so much better offroad. Yes apart from such tiny details you are completely right!
+Antipodean33 Yes, the bulb goes right in the back of the headlight - if you want to check it out, have a look at: th-cam.com/video/gemo1946I5E/w-d-xo.html
Nice Landie. Don't understand why the drive chose to drive up the bank and tip his truck over. No 1 rule of off roading is to drive to your experience level. Landrovers rock
In reply to your post..I doubt anyone there new what they were doing..Those guys with the 4x4 looked like they had no idea! For starters it rolled because he didn't even correct the steering..he was turning in the wrong direction..it was inevitable that he was gonna roll..watch it again.cheers!
Объясните , что у него за лебедка двига вроде не работала , значит не электрика ... Шноркель ушел под воду , как он себя сам вытянул что за бред :? Про то что у него блок и он переменял угол это понятно , но как работала лебедка то непонятно
no i know that they did that stuff but it was crap testing if they really put it on fire it would not be there today it would of been burn to the ground and they tied it to the roof if they didn't it would of done alot more damage than it did
so your still saying its fake ... ?? it was a real test. and plus when they set it on fire im pretty sure they put it out before t burned to nothing. my older brother used to have an old nissan truck and he sold it to some guy. then later he saw it after it had been set on fire. then later he saw the guy driving it around using some kind of wrench for the steering wheel. so a truck Can survive being set on fire.. (at least the older ones)
Awesome.. how can ppl diss the Defender for what it got through before the deeper bomb hole and the role was more the drivers fault than the vehicle, nothing compares to a Land Rover and the fact the engine was running an hour later proves this.. Best 4x4 By Far!
and that's why I love my deuce and a half its much more forgiving until you actually get stuck stuck then your boned only thing that can help you then is another M35a2 recovery truck or a tractor with a nice chain
@chal012 @chal012 that maybe true in a deep river crossing where the vehicle may begin to float and get washed downstream then letting the water into the car helps to weigh it down but not in this case, tell me what benefit was having the windows open in this case? i think the vid speaks for itself, no benefit!
You do realise this is a comp, some times you have to risks if you want to win. That 200tdi will be fine, I'm sure they switched it off before it went under.

We're happy to say that Muddy Boots has been fixed up and has since taken us on two mega journeys through Europe :-) Nothing like a landy!!

Awesome video. Good works, guys.
Great team work and fantastic attitude. Lot of people I know could learn a lot from this vid.
You guessed correctly. I've heard them called "limb risers". I've never really seen them in action, but I see them on Land Rovers in videos a lot.
Looks like u guys had a fun time, and the Landy was revived. Great stuff
Friggin awesome recovery and what an amazing calm temperament under these circumstances
no probs, australia (where im from) has them, a few fourbys run em, mostly comp trucks tho, uk i think has them too, seem to recall seeing them advertised in some british landrover magazines i have
Crazy coconut.
Awesome vid.
Thanks for sharing Aqua man.
Great recovery! Landies never die!

frankly i do not have enough experience to comment on this but all i can say is ... THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!
Thumbs up to the nice people who helped! Such an Epic fail it's actually a win. Landies for Life.
All those people standing so close to those cables which are super dangerous when snapped under load. I can't believe those people are just standing within range of that, absolute madness
Great Video, Great music !

The best 4 by 4 far. Just fame, just words without any diff lock.
Someone forgot there scooter gear at home lol. Got to love the Defender and it's built purpose. So sad they stopped production of such a wonderful vehicle.
I meant to say SCOOBER GEAR **
only with the difference that a defender got a permanent four wheel drive system, no leaf springs at the back, much better angles all around and is so much better offroad. Yes apart from such tiny details you are completely right!
how many pollocks does it take to pull a 4X4 out of the mud?
How much water to clean vehicles =]
I like how one guy suggests taking out the spark plugs, to get the TDi running :)
did the motor die?
Exactly why H1 chose wide body frame
That's a true 4x4 driver right there
Try this one out. "Defender 90 on a mission" it's up by James webley
to right massive respect for your comment regards kev
luv the muddy water in the passenger side HL......
I do agree Johnny having done a lot of it myself.
if your snorkel is on the left tip it to the right :-)
and closing windowswould help
nice overrollcage though
I do think the matching shirts are cute however!
I would've thought the headlight would be totally sealed, but as you can see, it's half full of water

+Tours and Tales.com Very fantastic video 😍
+Iris Portolan hahahahahaha 👍👎
Haha great recovery there, defenders are ace
Nice landy ,deep water good stuff
is that for me? you want to compare mercedes G with defender?
As they say in Poland; Here we were, here we are and here we stay!
Next time you may wanna close the window as i think the water rushing in would have aided it to tip.
Land Rover FTW! :D Diesel deals with water better though. Nice driving.
Nice
What was the temperature that day?
So, did ya have a good time?
take out the sparks ??? diesel ???
lowering your tire pressues to15psi i think will help alot...
what about mercedes G?
what did you do dude...
It was in Poland and the driver was Dutch, where do you hear Russian acc???
name of the artist & song please?
Polish guys are always helpful! At least the ones i know. They do know a lot of stuff.

Need more tha that! Hahaha... But the vehicle has found a new owner (through legislative issues), so we soldier on in our 110
por obrońca 90 robi to, co robił, odkąd zostały one wykonane, ładne i na mokro, jak powinno być? Wewnątrz i na zewnątrz!
Nice Landie. Don't understand why the drive chose to drive up the bank and tip his truck over. No 1 rule of off roading is to drive to your experience level. Landrovers rock
good recovery.
where is this ??
Gr8 car. Gr8 vid. Gr8 team.
wahts the song?
this was quite good apart from the damn still images ruining it and MISSING the actual "capsize" in the title!!!
@MarvicWebDesign ahaha yea, that can be a tricky choice .. you either need an able assistant or a locked off tripod :)
If that winch wire snaps it will take a few heads with it.MAD
Good effort!
Freethought Police We got it out - would have been easier if the rear winch wasn't hydraulic? We changed that to an electric one when we got back
great vid more plz
6:14 Best part... Look at the light.
czy jakby łańcuchy śnieżne dać to by coś pomogło w błocie ?

vcs deveriam conhecer o jeep troller brasileiro!!!!!ai vc ia ver oq é boiar ok
What is the name of the song? is very cool!!
It appears at the end of the video.

o jak miło w Polsce :) Pozdrawiam autora ;)
the interesting parts weren't video, what is the point of that?
Land rovers are great off road actually...
Ese Defender es poderoso
Good comment. However, Muddy Boots is part of the family :-)
it might not have flipped if the water didnt go over the door.
I saw Niall!
no i know that they did that stuff but it was crap testing if they really put it on fire it would not be there today it would of been burn to the ground and they tied it to the roof if they didn't it would of done alot more damage than it did
Лебёдка самая электрическая что может быть. Судя по всему варн-вертикалка. Работала она от хороших, скорее всего AGM аккумуляторов.
That's one of my dream vehicles.
A bit of swamping action thee thick Dutch bell
can we go home now...
wtf they skip the best parts??????????????

all depends on the driver.
Awesome.. how can ppl diss the Defender for what it got through before the deeper bomb hole and the role was more the drivers fault than the vehicle, nothing compares to a Land Rover and the fact the engine was running an hour later proves this.. Best 4x4 By Far!

Hope he had the vents closed for that one
Ok yeah they sure look like geniuses with a sunk 4x4. EINSTEIN!!!

As they role and wobble so much round corners perhaps he thought he was piloting a boat.
1450shunter Ahoy, skipper!

@Heartjager Cooper Discoverer STT
i wish i could find those tires to put on my ford
@jmjacko If you knew anything about 4x4 you would know you never do a water crossing with closed windows...
