I'm happy to report I have great difficulties selecting a favourite. This has got to be one of the best years when it comes to the sheer quantity of excellent tanks!

My favorite tank for 2020 is the tank that Balazs didn't make in New York. It would've been the Grand Prize winner, for sure. Oh, there's always 2021.

Also about the puddles- long answer is long, something for a TH-cam Video. The short answer is mirror, I used mirror to make this effect. I’m glad you guys appreciated it! (I wouldn’t recommend it to beginners either 😆)

My favourite is Josh's,pure mastery in pulling out the right amount of light to highlight some elements and areas,while at the same time the darker areas arent so dark that they lose any details.very masterful way of controlling lights and shadows.mind blowing

The warm vs the cool colors in first place prize is spot on but I have to say I really like Steven's the best. Wow, nice use of a mirror on the bottom. I feel like he even went so far as to use the algae growing on the bottom mirror to help it blend and gradate into the plants in the bottom. Very painterly. Very amazing.

Steven's definitely my favorite. His puddles are insane! My theory i do belive they are created by a mirage affect with light refraction on the blank surface of the glass tank? Hmm super cool hope Steve will share soon!

First of all: Tommy, congratulations. Great job! I also wat to congratulate to all guys from my country (Poland). Guys, it is better and better every year. And which works do i like the most? I like simply, nature style, like number 40 or 37. Why? I like just enjoying the view and natural behaviour of animals without thinking like "wow, how he (or she) made this". Don't get me wrong, every single one work this year is amazing, final 20 are absolutely mind blowing. Tommy, congrats once again, I will keep my fingers crossed for you in next year. Cheers!

The best tank for me is the winning tank. I like that feel of huge wood (rock like), feel of depth. And Im really curious how did Fukada made those floating reflecting parts in his tank. :-O wow And congrats to all contestants of course and Tamas too. Great job.
