    It's strange, even before know the golden ratio, my eyes naturally set scapes up in this way as it's the way we see nature without even thinking about it. Great video guys :)

Im a student in a dorm, after just half a year i gave up having the perfect aesthetics & techs 😂 my betta died few months ago and now i just keep lots of cherry shrimps in a 5 gal tank with a forest of easy plants and some pothos & peace lily in the hob filter. Far from my expectation in the beginning but it's a healthy tank :))

    I actually quite like the scape at 12:15.
    TH-cam honestly as a site has gotten really shit but it's honestly channels like this that remind me TH-cam is a great site BECAUSE of the people on it. I don't know why but ever since I can remember I've always loved in some form or another geography. Something about landscapes and nature really brings some joy to me. So it wasn't far fetched to fall in love with aquascaping. When you run out of outdoor space for plants, bring them indoors in the form of tanks. I want to say a huge thank you for these videos, all of which are free, you've really helped me out regardless of whether the videos were intended to teach or not, talking about videos that aren't educational in terms of you're just making some cool videos doing what you do. Having watches quite a few videos and learning for your tutorials I think I'm beginning to grasp the subject. Obviously very far from being proficient but I hope I get there one day. I have realised though that the 118L tank I recently got second hand is probably a bit too big for a first go. So I'll be sticking that in the shed and buying an ada 'nano-ish' tank around the 30-40L mark and taking it to an aqua store and trying to build something that I can take home.
    All the best Green Aqua team, - Michael.

      @@GreenAquaShop Quick questions: I am looking for a bigger aquarium. Currently have 60l but fish and prawns have been breeding and it is going to be overcrowded. I am looking for around 190l/200l. Due to size, the location in my house may have to be a corner. I have not seen any aquascaping from you guys for corner aquariums. Is this not recommended? or too hard?
      I am looking at either a Juwel lido or if in the corner, Juwel trigon. I see you do not sell Juwel on your website. Is this because you do not think the Juwel brand is good? Is it ok to scape with units with a closed top and inbuilt LED lights?

    I've noticed in the last few videos the sound has been very level. Meaning the volume of people talking and the volume of music in between has been the same loudness. This is excellent! In a lot of your older videos, the cuts with music were much louder than people talking. I was always turning the volume up and down constantly to hear people talking, then turning the volume down as to not get blown away by super loud music. Good job on the editing! It does get noticed!

    Nice video 👍 I think what’s most hopeful for beginners is the materials you are using. Take your time and choose the right pieces. Anyone can create a professional incredible aquascape when they simply have the right pieces in front of them / very simple when you have unlimited access to rocks, plants and wood.

    • @GreenAquaShop

      It not only resembles, but it's totally something that comes from photography and fine arts. Really glad that you had a revelation here, good luck with building your new tank with that idea in mind. Cheers.

      I would place them right next to each other - probably - this is just a speculation, on one side of the tank, with their 'weight center' at the golden ratio point. 💡

    • @GreenAquaShop
      @GreenAquaShop  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Nick, yeah Lego is nice, too bad I grew up without it - there was no Lego in the communist Romania in my childhood, but I'm kinda' compensating for it now.😄

    • @nickh9294
      @nickh9294 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't think about that at all, when I wrote my comment... 😞 Sorry mate. However you (and us Green Aqua fans!) are very lucky to have discovered aquascaping, which is indeed a great compensation for having missed lego. In fact aquascaping is even more then that, it's an enrichment to life, a great way to relax, enjoy nature and meanwhile learn a thing or 2, even after years of being in the hobby. I think if more people would enjoy this hobby, the world might be a bit better place and people would respect nature a lot more. So enjoy your compensating Balasz and have some rest and green tea, you deserve it!

    • @GreenAquaShop
      @GreenAquaShop  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, thanks, you are very kind. Well don't be sorry, I actually had the best childhood - even without some basic stuff like chocolate, bananas and lego. We had aquariums, been hiking a lot, skiing, etc. Sometimes I think I had a better childhood then my daughter today with her having everything she wants. I'm talking about things. Well, that childhood experience of having tanks lead us here, where we are. Thanks for the wishes, I'm doing exactly that now. Tea and resting. 😉And answering your comments, which is the best thing of the week, keeps me going. Cheers.

      I see what you mean mate, I grew up on the countryside with all kinds of animals around me and also aquariums. It indeed lead us to where we are. Nowdays kids grow up in a different world, I think... So keep on spreading the Green Aquascaping religion, might be good for the youngsters 😉👍

    I've been looking for materials about scaping a planted tank that is not placed with its back in a wall. I mean, the tank have to be built thinking about the 3d (all sides) view. Do you have any video about that? The construction of the depth and perspective is very hard to manage in this scenario. Thank you! What a great channel you have!

    Love the video. The sparkle in Balazs's eyes never dull even though he's been so tired from producing aquascaping videos. I get weary after watching so many green aqua videos, but when I look at Balazs's eyes as he describes aquascaping, I get motivated to learn more! Someone's purposely putting this in the golden ratio of the video. By the way, do you have a more in depth tutorial on what to put outside of the golden ratio? We seem to focus so much on what to put inside the golden ratio. If this come across as irrelevant, I'm happy to stand corrected!

    I don't live near any good aquarium stores, so i have to purchase my rock online meaning i can't play around in the sandpit with it first. This makes it so tricky to ever find a hardscape layout i'm really happy with.

    • @GreenAquaShop
      @GreenAquaShop  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I always suggest everybody to try to buy a lot of rocks, you will maybe use them later, and if not, you can swap with local hobbyists. We do encourage people to buy a lot of rocks from Green Aqua and tell them that they can return the remains (at their own expense) and they can get credit for that for a later purchase.

    This is a great video discussing design. Similar to training for art and architecture. I’m about to scape my first cube. Any suggestions for layout since the rectangle is now a square. My first inclination is for a single island a teeny bit off center. I have a piece of petrified wood that has a flat top so I imagine a monolithic stone formation rising out of the prairie with a little vegetation on its top. Inspired by your comment to mimic a landscape from movie or favorite place.
