- I've been having a phase where I've been trying different cold process soap techniques and incorporating soap shreds, just to see if there are lots of ways that we can use up any soap confetti. Although my cold process soap making tutorials are of a tutorial nature, they are intended for people who have a good understanding of making cold process soap. Cold process soap involves the necessary use of sodium Hydroxide (lye) which is a very dangerous substance. When you put the shred in with the colour's, to me it reminded me of homemade soup, and the finished bars look like granite, I love it Lisa ❤

The Romans used to make flooring like this -- busted up pottery mixed with concrete -- and it looked not unlike this.

Hi Lisa! Wow, it almost reminds me of a Tabby cat or something. Never hurts to experiment! Maybe if there had been a small swirl of black without shred in there to pull the black together? Who knows, but it turned out great anyway! Thanks for sharing! 😊

Actually, it looks great as a Halloween soap! If you decorated it with little pumpkins and/or candy corns, I think it would be popular.

This makes me think of a planet or some kind of solar system thing. You could do something really cool. I think the texture and shred looks really cool!

Soap still looks good, but I am wondering what it would look like if only one part had the shreds in it.
Yes, I think just in 1 part would be good, that was my original plan, but I had too much shred for that

I think a drop swirl in which there are two colors and the fluid portion has confetti pieces of the other color would look neat.

I agree with another commenter that if the yellow would have stood out more if that one didn’t have shreds, but I understand the need to use the shred too.
I have a batch that got too thick, too fast when attempting a lotus swirl, so I’ll be shredding all that. Good thing I bought myself a food processor at a garage sale for $5 recently! That’ll come in handy for shredding large amounts for sure!
I think it turned out nice. Patio pavers, granite, or any of the other nice things others have compared it to… it’s definitely a cool and interesting take.

U know u call it Orange chili pepper , well it reminds me of the chili 🌶️ pepper colors cause many are red, yellow and dark almost black especially dried peppers!! I think it matches the name !! ❤ Great!

Just imagine it with purple and green. I mean the color choice is different than you'd like but use your imagination and you can see how this is awesome.
Screenshot it...put it through a filter and you will see colors come to life. Start with a gray tone filter. That soap would look amazing in pink, purple, white and black. But then, I do everything in pink and purple. Chose the colors you would use, close your eye... imagine it, then do it!
