Tesla Cybertruck Is a DISASTROUS Vanity Project

- The 2024 Cybertruck is possibly the most polarizing and most unique new vehicle on the market today. Sharp edges and acute angles along with an ultra-durable stainless steel exterior make for a truck like none other before it. Look at all the hype on the new cybertruck! They can't stop bragging about how resistant it is to bullets, and with those unbreakable glass and more.
I'll tell you the truth, anyone who gets close can easily notice all the flaws in it. Test drive coming soon.
The Cybertruck is deadly for pedestrians and cyclists. The Tesla Cybertruck is out and already people are ready to declare it a safety nightmare. It’s a shocker that it cleared the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
“Guided missile” and “death machine” are some of the loaded phrases being tossed around at the Chicago Auto Show media days. Safety experts are “raising concerns” about the truck’s crumple zones or lack thereof.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) - two independent bodies that test new vehicles - have any plans to conduct crash safety tests with the Cybertruck.
The Cybertruck is heavy, high-riding, very quick, and likely to be extremely deadly to anyone unlucky enough to stumble into its path. EV trucks, in particular, are more deadly due to their increased weight from the battery. For some reason, you don’t see as many media stories calling out, for example, the F-150 Lightning or Rivian R1T or Chevy Silverado EV.
We take a closer look at the Cybertruck, is it a toy or a serious truck? Its been proven that heavy snow is not the best idea for cyber trucks.
One of the more standout qualities of the Tesla Cybertruck is its bare stainless-steel body. The stainless-steel body gives the Cybertruck a unique design, but also brings unique problems. While some people believe that stainless steel can’t rust, the truth of the matter is that stainless steel can and will rust, which is something Cybertruck owners are quickly learning.
We test the strength of the truck with a few good kicks, and with steel toed boots. Watch this.
Love it or hate it, the Tesla Cybertruck turns heads like nothing else on the road right now.
Thanks for watching!

Do you know if Tesla is only profitable because of the carbon credits that they sell? Or do they actually sell their vehicles for more than it costs them to build them? I smell a big steaming pile of propaganda behind this company 😄. That 6.7 efficiency factor needs to be plastered on billboards across America. Then this EV thing would end real quick. Great reporting by you. Oh, don't cut yourself on that thing.
Hilarious.... Tesla makes profits on every car they sell with carbon credits. They have a $29B war chest and debt compared to all other automakers who are hugely in debt. How many billion has Ford lost on EV's again? haha ..... ICE profits are saving them for now until all the ICE ban mandates roll in. I hope California rolls the date backs just to see the legacy automakers crumble again. Tesla uses AMD Ryzen processors for their graphics no Nvidia.
Well it just came out Tesla made $1.9 billion on EV credits . 6.7 Billion total $0.7 billion on service then $4.3 billion on investment given to them …. So the rest is stock hype not talking about how much money they made on sales. Tesla just said about 2 weeks ago they missed their sales goals by 21% but still claim their are the best selling car in the world and in every country and the best selling car in history…. But yet don’t mention numbers . With Tesla there is always a smoking gun or something hidden that doesn’t make sense. It’s a company mostly built on hype and the problem with that is it always come crashing down at some point.
Quick answer is probably yes . Almost every EV maker lose lots of money on EVs .
Tesla is profitable without the carbon credits since 2021.
Nope , AP reported that Tesla said they made 1.9 billion off of carbon credits aka EV tax.
You hold a cell phone to your head and talk on it? Microwaves dip. Charging doesn't have MICROWAVES bombarding your brain.
Bulletproof glass?
No its not.
But you can drive over stop oil lunatics and during a BLM riot and you wont feel a thing hahahahah
2:27 Showing a window getting hit with a baseball and calling it BULLETproof is laughable.
6:50 "You're exposing yourself to all sorts of magnetic fields." Uhhhh do you know how motors work? Lol You might want to avoid EVs altogether.
Avoid mobile computers, computers, home appliances, homes, EVs, factories, transmitters, airports (radars!), ships (radars!), restaurants and so on.

Also yes, people who spend that kind of money on a truck, have people that detail cars for them.
This woman argues that cars usually cut people outside and that if you hit this car, yours be damaged, but if 2 random cars hit, it wont. Nice logic there Missy...
Another issue, that I don't see mentioned anywhere, are the tiny headlights just above the bumper. If they are caked in mud or snow... they won't illuminate the road
Bulletproof glass? The glass is not bulletproof. The body is up to a 9mm round.
You could put someone's eye out with that Cybertruck!!!
Thanks, nana!
So much wrong with this person’s review. Nvidia doesn’t make “screens” , they make GPUs. Charging doesn’t “expose you to magnetic fields” any more than driving would. She also doesn’t explain why magnetic fields are dangerous. She states she doesn’t understand how NHTSA lets them “get away with it” yet never mentions the rule(s) that would exclude it from passing. Insinuates that Elon Musk has some inside tract with NHSTA when their actions shows the exact opposite when they hand out the most nitpicking “recalls” you could ever imagine while knowing they are just OTA patches. Insinuates carbon credits are the reason Tesla is successful without understanding how much it’s becoming a non factor on their financials.
Yeah - it is way over the top. If she got the facts right I believe she could make good reviews. There are some good points of views presented.
This woman argues that cars usually cut people outside and that if you hit this car, yours be damaged, but if 2 random cars hit, it wont. Nice logic there Missy...
I can think of many autos I’d prefer to spend 66 grand on than this one.
There's nothing to be admired about his ability to buy his way past safety features every other car maker must abide by🤬
I haven't heard about the potential magnetic radiation inside an EV while it's charging, are there studies from that?
I’m not aware of any studies, but I can share this:
Fast chargers tend to be DC. DC puts out pretty much no EM (electromagnetic radiation). Slow chargers are AC, but the frequency is the same as your house 60Hz. A far cry from the 2.45 GHz (2.45 Billion Hz) of your microwave oven.
That said, many people won’t buy homes under “high tension lines” - which can be upwards of half a million volts!
So right Truly a vehicle not fit for purpose!
How green is stainless steel production?
Probably pretty good vs most metals but it's idiotic to make a vehicle from it due to the weight. So massive battery and heavy steel. Its not what you'd do for efficiency. Definitely not environmentally friendly.
Lauren is one of the busiest and most knowledgeable in the business she knows what’s she talking about this this is a over priced grown persons toy period
Great review as per usual. May I also say, you look spectacular today
Magnetic field? Metal floor? A large wiper blade? 304 stainless? Hmm, wonder if Tesla knows about any of that stuff…..?
Many owners are reporting their cybertruck has started to go rusty, after only a few months.
Who would have guessed, a vehicle with no paint on would go rusty huh .......
Imagine being hit on a bike scooter or walking jogging. That frontend will be unforgiving. 😢😅😂

It is really different/cool looking. But that price is not for me! Especially since I got a used 2022 Nissan Frontier SV several months ago.

@@CarCoachReports I'd consider a Model 3 or a Model Y but NOT this monstrosity! This is for largely the same crowd that bought the Hummer H2 or H3 back in the day or the Hummer EV now, Ridiculous and inefficient ICE and EVs!
@@CarCoachReports The “really different/cool look” will attract a certain demographic. Much like the “early adopters” who bought EVs way back. The “EV early adopter” demographic appears to have been satiated. It will be interesting to see how large the CyberTruck demographic will actually be, once they aren’t as rare as hen’s teeth.
The Frontier is surely MUCH more useful than this boutique disaster of a truck.
Wow. What a great video. I certainly believe that you need a strong coffee.
Yes I do!
Insurance for that thing must be insane, especially since the insurance companies probably are aware that if this thing hits another car, probably will be totaling the other car. Not to mention how bad it would be if this thing hits a pedestrian.
Even the Tesla cars have high insurance rates.
Any damage to the battery or its undercarriage supports pretty much totals the vehicle. Off road driving where you sometimes hit rocks on the path that can tear the battery protector case, you going to be walking.
Very nice review.
People should remember that this thing is more expensive than a Lexus Gx550 .... I don't know man, I don't think I see why.
It still looks like the cars I would make out of Lego when I was a kid. Nowadays Lego cars almost look like the real thing with the specialty parts they make. Now I am just waiting for someone to make a life-sized Lego Cybertruck. BTW, the guy with steel-toed boots was only kicking the door with the rubber sole protruding from the bottom. How sensitive is the "frunk" closing mechanism if you get your hand, or head, in the way of it when closing? Might still hurt with that thick and sharp stainless...
I'm wondering how many orders are getting canceled now that real world number on its range are surfacing. Its falling well short of what Tesla claimed. Towing has resulted on barely over 100 mile range while towing.
All good points. I’m wondering how many cancellations they will have. But we will never know.
It has another serious flaw. Videos are showing the wheels breaking off when balljoints fail. It has undersized suspension components.

I am not sure about the "drive by wire". I know airplanes (Airbus, jet fighters) are fly by wire... but there is a level of care and redundancy - as they are million dolar machines. Cars are more mundane, and maybe not that much care or servicing will be done, in comparisson.
If you're after front trunk storage, you could always save a hundred grand and just get a Fireo for 800 bucks.

@@ItsBinhRepairedthat is a really stupid comment. Car drivers are often at fault.
@@CarCoachReportsdid you hear the report of the second cyber truck ? Hit a driver in a 2000s Toyota Yaris head on that driver walked away … while the Tesla driver had to taken to hospital in the ICU for head and neck spinal injuries. The investigation said Toyota got totaled and the Tesla big dents and minor damage but I don’t care how much damage the car takes if it can’t provide me from injuries it’s not a safe car. We used to say at Infiniti dealership the most important safety feature is keeping you safe in a crash if you can’t avoid it.
So pedestrians getting hit by other vehicles are safer? The job of the Auto Companies are to make the car safe for the people in the vehicle. I’ve never seen a carmaker say that their vehicle will save pedestrians lives if they are hit by their car. WTH?
Subscribed. Very practical and straight to the point with important insights. Thank you very much.
I don't have a lot of money to spend on a truck. Anybody want to sell me their Pontiac Aztec? 😂
Tesla have by far the highest profit margins on EVs so I don't think they are the ones who should be worried about the subsidies ending...
but they’re the only ones making only EVs…
Only The Rich and Wealthy can Afford this truck! Lol..
The avg full-size truck costs $62,825 in 2022. The avg F-150 was $66,000 in 2023. The cybertruck starts at $61,000. I think you mean only the rich and wealthy can buy a new truck.
No - the display is not made by NVIDIA
As far as we know the AI chips are designed by Tesla and marked as such - the main processor for the display is likely to be AMD. There are no NVIDIA components in Tesla EVs anymore.
A pedestrian will most likely be better off being hit frontally by the Cybertruck than any other truck as the CT front is lower, and you have a good chance to be thrown over the truck instead of being pancaked
No - the steering wheel is not a yoke (some call it a squircle). It is a squared off steering wheel - a bit smallish - but otherwise basically a steering wheel. You can hold it in the 12 o'clock position if you wish.
No - a round wheel is not a must for the CT. The steering wheel only moves 340 degrees from stop to stop. Hence the buttons on the steering wheel is less of a problem.
I am certain that Tesla customers a) prefer vegan leather, b) love minimalism, c) love high tech, and consider those luxury instead of the interior design nightmare of most legacy cars/trucks.
The CT has crumple zones like other cars - it is likely to be safer than any other truck considering Tesla's safety record (test scores and real life statistics)
LOL - because a CT get stuck once in the snow then it can't handle snow. So the F150 stuck in the snow the other day rescued by a CT means all F150s can't handle snow?
No - the glass is not bulletproof and not even bullet resistant. The steel panels are bullet resistant to most handguns.
The front door windows do not have a "pretty sharp edge". Though, it does have a somewhat rounded tip.
LOL, a 500 mile range Lucid will still set you back 150,000 with a few extras. That is extremely expensive. That is your only recommendation for an EV?
All trucks are horrible in collision scenarios with cars and pedestrians. Take that up with NHTSA.
LOL, 6 months "wait" to get one. They have over 2 million reservations. Even if many of the reservations holders should cancel, It will be years before people off the waiting list can get one. The 1 and 3 motor versions will only be available in a year or so.
LOL, EVs are not selling. The most sold car in the world happens to be an EV. The Tesla Model Y.
Cheap plastic cabin innards are not luxury regardless of your personal preference. There is a view that the Cybertruck will not be sold in EU due to safety concerns re pedestrians so your comment on the front is rubbish. People have cancelled orders since the actual launch so forget all that order number hype . I could go on but the truth is that this truck is not very good, in many folk’s opinion. And what happened to the range and price that Musk announced four years ago ?
@@jimpackard8059 Cheap plastics... Are you referring to the vegan "leather"? Personally, I wish the plastic underbody panels and the bumpers were made of metal. It seems there are aftermarket solutions for that already, though.
Let us see what the EU decides. "A view", in this case seemingly a wish, means nothing. The main problem is the hard steel. But in general terms it is no more dangerous than other 1/2 ton pickups. They are permitted in the EU, but they are very rare as they are really hugely impractical. The Cybertruck, though way more maneuverable, will also be too big and impractical. So no big loss to Tesla in not selling the CT in Europe
The number of reservations is not hype. Time will decide whether the reservations will be activated and the CT will become a success. You know that the most sold car in the world is a Tesla? So Tesla might know a thing or two about marketing EVs...
The range of the model available now (AWD - 2 motors) has a ranger larger than indicated at the reveal.
The price right now is prohibitive just like other high end 1/2 ton pickups. There is a view that the price will come down.
I farm and having electrical pickups like the CT would be great. Imagine it being way more sturdy and being able to charge it up every night just by plugging it in. Diesel is a major cost and hazzle for us.

We don't know what graphics processor is being used in the Cybertruck, but it is probably not nVidia, because Tesla has been using the AMD RDNA 2-based Ryzen APU in its vehicles since Dec 2021. She said that you will get it in 6 months if you order today, but that is if you order the Foundation Series which costs $20,000 more, and it is only by special invitation. Tesla has over 2 million preorders, and it will probably 3 or 4 years before you get the truck if you place a $250 reservation today, because there is a huge queue to get through.
I get the criticisms of the sharp corners, but her criticism of the lack of head space in the back is wrong in my opinion. Given how many cars use fake leather made of petroleum, I don't think Tesla deserves to get criticized on that point. Vegan literally means not made fromanimals, so why the snarkiness about the Vegan leather? Tesla was heavily criticized by animal rights activists before it changed from leather to vegan leather, so there is no winning for the company. I feel the same way about her criticism of the company for electromagnetic fields. If she measured the EMF and found that it was excessively high, that would be a valid criticism, but she appears to just be throwing it out without measurement and seems to be unaware that every new car is filled with electronics that have EMF. Do some actual measurements and get back to us, but don't do FUD.
