2024 Foundation Series Tesla Cybertruck AWD - Delivery, thoughts, and walk through after first week!

A quick bit of video from our delivery day on the 28th of April, and some thoughts after about a week of ownership. Have had this sitting ready for edit for a while, but just got around to it.

Charger on screen is from MagBak, the storage bins behind the screen are from TWRAPS, and yes the glass roof panel looks weird because I just moved it aside to put the GoPro suction cup up there. Looks fine usually!!
I live in San Diego California and I've been seeing a stainless steel cybertruck many times on the freeways. It has no identifying marks so I guessed it must be the Tesla truck. It looked a little cheap like it was a practice model. But today I saw what I thought was that truck but when it passed me it was RED! Then not 15 minutes later I saw another one and it was another stainless steel model but it was perfect and expensive looking. That's when I spotted "Foundation" on it. Now I had a name to use to search TH-cam for it. It's awesome to see the inside. All 3 trucks had paper license plates that started with a D. (DD, DA & DH) I look forward to seeing them again!

Funny how some truck drivers get offended by it and have the need to make their concerns seen lol enjoy your cybertruck good buddy! You worked hard for it so you enjoy!

I saw two today in Houston. Both were wrapped. On the freeway with the lights on, its wicked.

I have a Tesla Model 3 2018 I love it. I saw the Cyber truck in person last week in Austin Texas, Omg I thought it was ugly as heck but I saw the inside omg it's like a normal pickup truck they are so cool 😊😂❤
Thats so cool, thanks for sharing! I'm an Acoustics guys so I gotta ask - howz the Audio System in the CyberTruck? My 2018 LR Model 3 is pretty good (15 speakers before Tesla removed a tweeter in the front for newer models). Do you like the Audio quality in the CT?
I'm waiting for my CyberTruck, likely coming in 2042 lol Hey maybe we'll see a CT camping video in this channel this summer? :)

We have a LR Model Y which has a better sound system than my Model 3 Performance. Neither one of those come remotely close to the quality of the stereo in the Cybertruck. I've never heard a better (stock) stereo in a car, ever.

Maybe they needed to clean your truck which could take several days! My delivery experience was very poor in Cincinnati. I had dirt in my door jambs, rail dust rust on the hood and sides, scratches etc. 😢. It took me two days to get it clean enough to not be embarrassed to show other people.

Not yet… not sure I’d get it since the MyQ integration has been much better (have homelink in my 3, and myq works across as many cars as you have - we have 3 and our friends also have access)
I got the email finally to buy it, but I can't justify 100k for a truck.
You think that some GM owners would give the finger to Ford or Dodge, everyone has loyalty to there brand.
It's funny to me to see people actually 'hate' a vehicle. I guess some people really identify with their cars a lot stronger than I can ever imagine doing personally.

Since when has Tesla made a AWD CT. They have a dual motor and the tri motor. Both dual motor and tri motor could be considered AWD, but that would be incorrect. On the dual motor the front motor disengages while driving and the tri motor the rear two motors disengage for better economy. Tesla does not make a AWD CT.
I can understand the confusion but I 100% promise you that the official name of this vehicle is the Cybertruck AWD. That’s what it says on the window sticker 👍🏻 the Trimotor is called the Cyberbeast

the 'rust' spots are just carbon from rail/road nastiness. I used some Bar Keepers Friend to polish the truck and all the carbon spots from shipping/driving are completely gone after only one pass.

Have you watched it yet I'm hearing nothing but nightmare stories as far as how to wash it and keep it clean
It's extremely easy to keep clean, actually.

@@Da-King-of-Swing I did a quick video showing the truck after 1,200 mile road trip last weekend. Took it to a manual wash for about 15-20 minutes and did bug remover on the front and mirrors, wheel wash, and then did the high pressure wash off, brush al over the steel (not the windows). Rinse, dry with towels.
Now, this is after a couple times taking a random orbital polisher to the truck with Bar Keepers Friend and Windex. Out of Spec Detailing does a great video about that and I followed that. Will probably do it once a quarter or so.
For general wipe downs, I use windex and a couple microfiber towels.

Lucky you, glad all the rich people are getting them and getting all the quirks worked out before we buy the truck for a lot less..

it's all relative - we just happen to live in an extremely affordable area and make a decent living, not necessarily 'rich'.
