I wish you didn't have the blaring, hard rock music in the background… it's distracting and Makes it harder to hear you

I slept in my 2018 Honda HRV for three years. I made my bed behind the driver seat allowing more sleeping space pull the front driver seat forward. It worked great. I never cooked in my car, but I washed up on those days that I didn’t want the gym shower. Kept a minimum amount of clothing.

I agree, I keep amount of clothing and everything to a minimum. Not much space in a car! Thanks for watching!

Configuration for rear seats is the opposite in my 2010 CRVXL the wider sides on the passenger side and the skinnier seat is on the driver side so mine is the way yours was originally but I haven't built anything yet. I've just taken out the wider rear seat.

Can a 6.2 feet person fit comfortably in your bed? Wish you could of talked about height or just busted kut a tape measure to show how long the bed is and how tall can a person fit. Very few people do that. Inwas considering getting CR-V 2010- 2013 and wonder if my 6.2 body would get to sleep comfortably there like you have it or wound need to sleep like across more in an angle from one side to other side

I am 5'6" tall, and the mattress is 72" long. It might be difficult for somebody over 6 feet tall. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Have you thought about using the trunk cover as a shelf? Or does it not support enough weight?

Smart move to move your bed to the 60:40 ratio rear seats. favoring 60. I also have the honda c rv model 2018. its similar to your set up. I sue a carry on suitcas(my wardrobe clothes)e to support my head rest. the rear seating area. I have a tv tray table that fold down and up to eat or work on my laptop. the shotgun seat. I attach a tablet mount as a second monitor and a trashcan. I try using the cargo seat cover platform. but I have the tendency to flinch and move my legs up in my sleep. so instead I have a sherpa camp kitchen table (my water, food utensils)I will try to find a way to get a fridge cooler for me. I use bungee cords to lock down. I also want my rear view to be clear and not clutter up. so I clamp on a shelf to the side. mainly cover the driver side's small traingle window. oh and the ceiling seatbelt thing. I use it to hang my lantern. Thanks for sharing!

That all sounds awesome! I'm currently working on making a "desk" to use for eating and working on my computer when I'm sitting in the one back seat. It's funny you mention a second monitor because I am also working on a way to hang a monitor. Yes, it sounds like we have very similar setups! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I’d suggest either clear +thin polycarbonate roof sheet or greenhouse panel for the shelves. Try 😊

Oh since I have a similar model suv . From setting up a bed behind the driver seat . You can fit around 5’6. As for taller people , I suggest taking out the shotgun seat

Hey Rich, enjoyed this video. I have 2019 CRV and your video gave me ideas to improve when I car camp. Like you, I don’t live in my car but when I go on road trips it nice to sleep in my car if need to. I tent camp as well and planning to do a cross country trip this summer. I do like the rope shelf utilizing the notches in the back providing extra space. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the tour. Have you cjecked out cargo netting from joanns or hobby lobby? You could even staple it together.

I camp in my 2012 Rav4 and it is set up exactly like yours. I believe our cars are the same size. I purchased an after market Toyota accessory hammock.
Also. I am 5’10. I do not touch the ends.
