    After 3 days of complications, I ended up dropping the rear axle from its sway bars to give me a little bit more room and was able to get it, now I’m dropping in the new pump and putting it back together. Thanks, the homemade tool helped

    Like you said, Robert, hours under the car trying to get these fuel lines disconnected. Making special tools to try to make the job easier is one approach, but the area where you have to work is so inaccessible, no matter what, it's a very difficult job. I own three of these cars and I just cut the rubber part of the fuel line and pull the tank. Takes minutes. Then replace the rubber with fuel injection hose and hose clamps. It is a quick and cheap solution to this nightmare.

    you are an incredible gentleman.
    I thank you for your sharing.
    I have x308 Jaguar with hs fuel pump.
    I have to repair it but I only have one hand, I lost my hand.
    I will follow the advice to change my pump.
    I saw the other pump replacement videos.
    I'm afraid of breaking the fuel pipes.
    In France we do not have this kit to remove the tubes.
    But I will succeed
    the tool that you show here I don't understand how to do it

    I made the fuel line tool from the cone cap from a oil bottle tapered cap. Trimmed with a razor, and pushed in with a flathead.

    Hi Robert, I really enjoy your videos,as I am a pre 2000 Volvo owner and enthusiast. I'm hoping you see this, Could you give ADVISE on where I could find an 850 turbo for sale? I'm the best condition possible? I have been trying to research this and am having a rough go of it,lol. Hope you see rhis and maybe know of a dealer or somthing to find this specific car. Thanks Robert,✌!

    Ultimately is it 5/16 or 3/8"?
    I tried 5/16 like you said in the other video but it doesn't work.

    Morning Robert, question, i'm in the process of purchasing tires for my 1996 850. I also plan on getting new struts and shocks for the front. Should I wait until I get the struts and shocks before I have the tires balanced or does it not make a big difference. Thanks

    • @RobertDIY
      @RobertDIY  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No difference. Struts in the front, shocks in the rear. You should get an alignment after the struts are replaced.
