Thanks for sharing and what you mentioned about keeping the reservoir cap a bit loose makes sense. Thanks for your time and effort in making the video. Every little bit helps when we are desperate to make something work to reuse it instead of disposing it off to the Landfill.

It is not a repair video - more like how to use it.
If your mop does not produce steam, you may have to disassemble the mop and clean the pomp and connection. My map completely quit producing steam, although it would power up, and got hot, but no steam. I filled it up with vinegar and plugged it in overnight, but no-go.
I left the vinegar in it for more than a week - still did not work. Finally, I took it apart, took the pump apart, and cleaned the inside. It was plugged from using the tap water. Now, it works.
Word of advice: Use distilled water and it will never cause any problems. Hope it helps.

I’m so glad it has worked for some of you. If it helps just a few people then it was worth making the video!

This is temporary solution. It's not steaming properly because of the calcium deposit. Fill the tank with vinegar, turn the mop on and pump a few times to bring the vinegar into the heating cylinder. Let it sit overnight. Next day plug the mop back in and start pumping. Do it in the kitchen sink and you'll see how much sand etc comes out.Once cleaned either use distilled water or do this vinegar wash once a month or so.

@Rose Marie Picella the minerals and sand breaks down with the vinegar

I’m so glad it worked for you! If it helps 1 or 2 people then it was worth making the video.

Thank you sooo much!!! I have a Shark Vac/Steam mop that for years has not been working consistently despite a few hard slams on the floor from frustration. I did like you said and it worked instantly and with more steam. You saved me from dumping it and I have clean floors.

Debra Davidson - I just took off the water tank cap to allow air into the tank and it just started to work. Just like in the video.

I only use mine twice and it is just starting to work after about an hour with the vinegar water mixture. It's beginning to steam but not a lot. I did check the tube to make sure it wasn't plugged and I can blow air right out through the dispensing portion. There certainly is not enough mineral deposits to keep it from working. So I will keep trying but at least it's beginning to work.

Hard water clogged up your steam mop arteries. It needs a stent.

If youd used distilled water from day one, you wouldn't have had that problem.
