Canon PowerShot Inside Lens Cleaning and Lens Curtain Reassembly

I clean the inside of Canon PowerShot SX720 HS lens. This could probably work for other models of PowerShot as well.
I also show how the lens curtain is reassembled in case of accidental disassembly. The lens curtain does not need to be removed for cleaning but may fall apart during the cleaning procedure and be difficult to reassemble.

I dropped mine and can hear something stuck inside the lens and now it’s saying lens error and I can’t use it. The lens is stuck half way but enough for me to grab onto the end piece can I still pull the lens off if it’s not fully open?

I have pulled that end piece off without the lens being fully open. If you want to remove the lens assembly itself, that is separate procedure which I have not done at this point.
