I love the versus segments!! I am pretty new to Jack Daniel’s - usually I drink and savour delicious single malt scotch expressions. I just bought a JD Rye that I love. Spices Rye, good Bourbon are also very enjoyable and I am leaf more about what I love! I’m in 🇨🇦 and Lot 40 and recently a Canadian Club 40 year old expression are fabulous. Back to Bourbon!! The comparison here with these JD expressions is really interesting and I am thoroughly enjoying getting to know more through comparing different bottles! I know my Scotch but Bourbon is a learning curve right now!! Your channel is fabulous!! Happy Ho Ho! Yay it’s over!! Some lovely drams helped edge the family stress down!! lol!! I have been using the Distiller app for years. I love it. I always have it up on my phone when I am shopping for a new bottle. It is great a quick read of reviews and flavor profiles.

JD Bonded is #1 in Whiskey advocate for 2022. Personally I'm not really fan of this bottle, but probably is good for mixers. Also in MI $45 state minimum for 1L bottle ($50 in stores)
I'm surprised how dismissive you were about the triple mash. I got it at 30 dollars on clearance at my store and I thought it tasted fantastic. The rye and malt influence really came through and made it taste nice for me. I'll go back to it and see if maybe it doesn't taste as good at other times, tastes can change day to day.
Single Malt sounds amazing on paper, but apparently people are camping out overnight for it and picking stores clean in the morning. No offense, but it's a $70 bottle from Jack Daniels. There's no way it's "camp overnight" good, or pay $500-1000 online. I did like the Bonded, but I feel the price of it is too high. I always though JD was a budget product, but when the prices are $25+ for No 7, there's too much competition out there that beats it. To be fair to the bonded, it did make a badass Jack & Coke lol.

I haven't tried the triple mash yet, but the bonded is very good IMO
I tried both of these labels. The black bonded, i got the smoke, and oak taste. The red bonded, tasted like honey, and rye.

As far as I’ve seen all JD barrel proofs are single barrel. As for the triple mash. I agree it has no finish. Maybe needs more proof. Not impressed.
