Pokémon X and Y have great features, great graphics, and almost perfect roster of creatures, one of the most underrated soundtracks in the series, the best Pokemon interaction features in the form of pokemon amie and its various minigames, multiplayer features and online interface, and super training. I just really wish it did more with the Story of the ultimate weapon and AZ as well as some locals like the powerplant and sun dial. I honestly dont get why people complain about difficulty in Pokemon games. These games have NEVER been difficult (yes even the old ones were easy, they were just grindier). And yes, obly in newer games it has gotten even easier but since it's always been easy I don't see why this is even a major problem. The only valid criticism about this I've seen so far is the exp share toggle in SwSh and ScarVio being missing. A toggle would've been great. I think there are more and bigger problems with Pokemon games than difficulty rn for e.g the removal of mega (Tera did improve meta but the removal of Mega was imo rly bad because it gave life to so many Pokemon) , the character customisation (SwSh was kinda decent but ScarVio was terrible) , the horrible artstyle they're going for since BDSP, the bug, the shallow open world, lack of actual post game (the last game with decent postgame storyline was ORAS since then it's just been rly bad), and just pure unpolished incomplete games that looks poorly put together. GF rly needs better developers because the current ones are just not cutting out.
I loved these games and still think they are the most aesthetically pleasing games. The OST is also so grand. I wish Pokémon Z existed instead of USUM which tbh really didn't need to exist. SM could've released in 2017 with Z either releasing in 2015/16. Man, I love Kalos.
People complained back then about B2W2 and were "tired of 3rd versions". This is probably why GF moved on to gen 7 (that plus it was the 20th anniversary of pokemon which couldn't be celebrated with the 3rd version of a crappy game).
I remember playing X for the first time and I loved how the region looks, it's just so beautiful and colorful. The only thing that was a minus for me was that, since X was my first pokemon game I got used to the exp share and didn't really know that the previous games didn't had it at the start. Nonetheless, it was a great introduction into the world of pokemon for me I think and I really liked it as a kid.

However, I had a lot of fun playing it. It was also the first ever pokemon game that got me into shiny breeding and breeding for competitive pokemon due to the horde mechanic, friend safari for dittos and easy way to tell the pokemon's IVs.
Aren't all the pokemon games basically same? I mean, the gameplay haven't changed, animations barely change, it's always the main character's dream to be "want to be the very best like no one ever was" and they still somehow managed to fuck up how we view map. Gamefreak has always been banking on nostalgia and that's all. The current games specially have been anything but disappointment (except legends arceus as they 'tried' something new).
These are my all time favorite games. There's something so charming about them, that I can't even explain, and they are easily the ones I've spent more time on

"But For some reason Gamefreak is acting like these Games never existed. There was no Pokemon Z and Mega Evolutions were completely thrown to the way side for reasons I cannot explain." That aged well like milk 😂
It's not that Gamefreak is lazy, so much as they get the least amount of money out of what the entire IP itself makes. Nintendo instead redirects most of the cash Pokemon makes into merchandising. So, yeah, that's why each future game has been getting worse. Yet they sell well enough that Nintendo doesn't deem it necessary to actually give Game FREAK the same money they would put into a Mario or Zelda game. TLDR, working for Game Freak is the worst paying job in the whole of the successful parts of the Nintendo Company when it comes to making games.

It is a shame that game freak were so hyper focused on making something not Pokémon during this time and really dropped the ball on this generation
As a kid I had limited time on my Nintendo so when I couldn’t play I spent my time strategising which Pokemon I was going to catch next and how my ideal team would look like. To me Pokemon’s main appeal always lied in the vast amount of knowledge to be gained: move pools, typing, stats, etc. For a while I’d find a new favourite Pokémon every day. What frustrates me most is that the single player game doesn’t reward strategic play over mashing the strongest attack of your overleveled starter. The games offer a serious amount of depth which goes unnoticed simply because it’s not necessary. Usually players like me will instead head to competitive play, but it just feels inaccessible due to stupid stat requirements like IVs (seriously I can count down the cases in which you don’t want max IVs on one hand). I really hope game freak will realise that the games they produce have to be tailored towards children and adults alike
among the best parts about x and y to me is the number of good pokemon you can get without the postgame or very late to the game like aegislash, goodra, lucario, a kanto starter, talonflame , pancham, halucha there are many more to name, not in any other region except maybe unova , i have enjoyed building up a team (this does make you overpowered ingame but well, idc)
I'm not gonna lie, gen 5 to 6 for me was honestly peak Pokemon gaming, I loved XY, I loved ORAS, and my favourite region is Unova and I thought those games were really well done. I even liked gen 7 although from there it started to go down hill for me, I lost interest in the franchise after playing Shield as I thought that game was average, I thought the Dynamax mechanic was an unnecessary addition, I can see why some might like it but to me it just felt like a wannabe mega evolution mechanic, it also bothers me how GF dropped Mega Evolution and Z-Moves the moment that the franchise moved to the Switch, I seriously loved both. Last night I was looking up some Scarlet and Violet stuff and while some of the Pokemon look cool, there are those in the game that prove that GF truly have run out of ideas, giving gen 1 mons an extra evolution, Dunsparce (the evolution looks the exact same...) and Girafarig in particular, also Primeape, and then the "Toedscool" evolution line which is literally just a copy and paste of Tentacool/cruel/both but with a different colour scheme. It honestly makes me want to avoid any new game that comes out as this isn't something that sits well with me, I've recently been wanting to get back into gen 5/6, maybe even 7, but have definitely started a new save on Alpha Sapphire, and it is something I honestly look forward to revisiting. As much as I do love new Pokemon, it's honestly not something the creators should focus on, sure it gives you a fresh start.. I guess.. but sometimes I wanna play the gold old days of Pokemon
So annoying that barely ANY kalos can mega evolve like at least let our starters evolve like it’s the new gimmick and none of the new Pokémon can do it
I agree! Why did they not add mega evolution? Same with Z moves! I don't mind as long as there reasonable! Same with Dynamaxing and Gigantamax. I'm sorry for trailable at remembering the spelling and others!
I just started playing X, watching the beginning cutscene right now. Decided to have some background noise. This was the first video to pop up. What are the odds😂
X and Y were some of my favourite games, my only problem was that they were way to easy and every run i played i always beat the game being 10 levels lower than every gym at all times
x and y had the trainer pr video feature, thereby sweeping every other pokémon game no diff i really loved the customizability that x and y gave to the series, like clothing and dress-up, and again, trainer pr video it showcases some instances of creativity that trainers can have i'm also just biased ripp 😬😬
The only thing I hate about XY is ... these are the games introduced Megas ... BUT THE STARTERS DONT GET ONE !?!? And in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire the starters do get one !?!? It’s so stupid ...
@@kylespevak6781 And sadly they keep doing it to this day ... can’t we just have new stuff instead of same old stuff over and over again ... If I see a Charizard again I’m going to have a mental breakdown !!! An not a good one ...
What if instead of X and Y remakes, we get Pokemon Z? That probably won't happen, but just imagine the hype. They could give Battle Bond forms for the Kalos Pokemon, like the starters, they can add more anime content and have the Team Flare arc in it, they can give the gym leaders and elite 4 members mega evolution, they can add it to the Switch 2 and overhaul the graphics entirely, and they can even add anime exclusive rivals like Alain and Sawyer. Again, it won't happen, but please do it, GameFreak, because that would be awesome.
Gen 6 is actually my favorite generation. The games were easy, but they made me excited, especially with those mega evolutions. I also love the xy/xyz anime so much. I still think it is the best anime Pokemon has.
@@c0mpu73rguyI def preferred what they did with oras compared to BDSP. It wasn't great, but at least it was something instead of just ripping code from a pair of games that were outdated not even a year or two after their release.
True. Even in gen 5 where it started to get easier, Reshiram/Zekrom could NOT sweep because underleveled and levels slower. But XY....HO BOY, you just sweep with anything. We aint even gonna talk about ORAS and the free Latias/Latios 💀
Not gonna lie, I was a hardline Gen Wunner until X & Y opened my eyes, but let's be honest, I NEEDED the pandering. I also missed the GTS from previous generation, even though the rest of the multilayer features were pretty great
Overall XY were my least favorite Pokémon games. It is a shame that game freak were so hyper focused on making something not Pokémon during this time and really dropped the ball on this generation
Remember, they had to make new 3d models for *every single pokemon*
Pokemon legends Z-A my friend. Hopefully they will do Kalos right❤
Brother, I couldn‘t describe the happiness I felt during that livestream…
I really hope game freak will realise that the games they produce have to be tailored towards children and adults alike
among the best parts about x and y to me is the number of good pokemon you can get without the postgame or very late to the game
like aegislash, goodra, lucario, a kanto starter, talonflame , pancham, halucha there are many more to name, not in any other region except maybe unova , i have enjoyed building up a team (this does make you overpowered ingame but well, idc)
Jesus...was it really 10y already since i was amazed by the switch to 3d?
Gamefreak didnt drop megas, they used in the Gen 3 remakes. No other introduced feature has lasted that long
And they were still there in gen 7 alongside Z-Moves.
Damn I feel old as a 23 years old.
Same Buddy😔
In my opinion pokemon games should have an hard mode for experienced players
So annoying that barely ANY kalos can mega evolve like at least let our starters evolve like it’s the new gimmick and none of the new Pokémon can do it
sometimes i forget gen 6 music kinda slapped sometimes
Gen 6 ost goes hard AF
X and Y had the best multiplayer interface with the PSS System
Nice video, it doesn’t looks like ist from an account with just 3000 subs, but 6. gen is def your favorite
I agree! Why did they not add mega evolution? Same with Z moves! I don't mind as long as there reasonable! Same with Dynamaxing and Gigantamax. I'm sorry for trailable at remembering the spelling and others!
No fucking way we are glazing THE worst generation of Pokemon that introduced THE biggest problems with the level design...to this day....
I just started playing X, watching the beginning cutscene right now. Decided to have some background noise. This was the first video to pop up. What are the odds😂
And there's people hating on X and Y before the game actually even released
Imo is X/Y the best Pokemon game with nearly every point. Its just way to easy
X and Y were some of my favourite games, my only problem was that they were way to easy and every run i played i always beat the game being 10 levels lower than every gym at all times
Yup the gym leaders were actually embarassing. W Sukuna Fan 🫡
they should have like a hard mode where they just amp 5 levels up to each person or something like that, a simple code change
Yeah a difficulty setting like every other game has had for the past 20 years😭
I liked the editing ur videos are super underrated
x and y had the trainer pr video feature, thereby sweeping every other pokémon game no diff
i really loved the customizability that x and y gave to the series, like clothing and dress-up, and again, trainer pr video
it showcases some instances of creativity that trainers can have
i'm also just biased ripp 😬😬
The only thing I hate about XY is ... these are the games introduced Megas ... BUT THE STARTERS DONT GET ONE !?!? And in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire the starters do get one !?!? It’s so stupid ...
Oh wow yeah NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT!! Shit makes me even more mad now.
It's cause the Gen 1 pandering
@@bensh0t EXACTLY !!! it’s infuriating ...
Technically in SoulSilver and heart gold you could pick gen 1 starters after beating red but thats end game
Best pokemon music is Miror B battle theme, that is good music and i will die on that hill
I just realized after watched a movie, that team Flare reminds me of those Matrix folks lmao
I never thought of that before lol I csn see the resemblance it's because of the sunglasses right?
@@thetronwarriors4817 Most likely
bro did not just skip the banger that is the anistar city theme
ik x and y are not the best game BUT THEY MUSIC 😍😍😍😍
I want a X and Y remastered version for the switch just like they did with diamond and pearl😢
Remake we don't want bdsp again
Absolutely not that
@@theepicergreninja3018Trust me, you do. You don’t want to go through what gen 3 fans like me endured with ORAS.
@@c0mpu73rguyI def preferred what they did with oras compared to BDSP. It wasn't great, but at least it was something instead of just ripping code from a pair of games that were outdated not even a year or two after their release.
@@grimsongreen3217 Be careful what you wish for.
love the ssj4 theme at 9:15
Fellow Dokkan enjoyer 🤝

Hoopa, volcanionin and diancie were obtainable from events in 2014-2015. So they were never unobtainable
Pokemon XY is literally the first pokemon where I literally dropped on using legendaries in my team because the game is just so easy.
B2/W2 scared me back to Blue, but X gave me enough of what I remembered to allow me to wander into the new era of Pokemon and now I can openly admit that like, half of the Gen 1 Pokemon are kinda shit. Fuckin SEEL man!! HOW was that allowed!!!???
We needed a pokémonZ fr
Keep dreaming
i aint dreaming, i dont mind that it didnt happen thats already in the past. I wont say i dont care its just im not on the edge of my seat hoping and praying for one. Whats done is done.
@@c0mpu73rguy
x and ys my fav pokemon game, the places, the story, SOUNDTRACK, new pokemon and i even like the rivals idc but it’s personally my fav and personally the exp share is way better than the old system, it allows your whole team to level up rather than grinding out your whole team for hours on end, thats the only thing i disliked bout the old games and they fixed in the new ones, should give it credit not talk down, just saying 😂
XY werent my first games however they were definitely my favorite
I loved this new era of pokemon and I really love the battle mechanics each game but mega evolutions are my favorite of them all
"It's the whole Thanos motif" HAHAHAHA THAT MADE ME DIE OF LAUGHTER
How does Malva's Room have enough Gas to create the 2 fire pillars when you enter it? How did Siebold get the plumbing to handle all the water that falls in when you enter his room?
_They probably used their own Pokémon to do that_
Bro cracked the code😨
Funded by the kalos government
yo your content is next level
i'm surprised you don't have more subscribers!
you just gained another one in me!
Ayyyy thank you!! Much love ❤️
I love X&Y, they could’ve been so much better but Game Freak rushed the game. Hopefully we get lucky enough to get the game ported to switch. 🙏🏼
Pokemon Z could’ve been an all time Great imo.
nah mate, you don’t want a rushed port on the switch rn
honestly the biggest problem with x and y for me was team flare
And the Lackluster elite four team roster
Team Flare was fine honestly, not good not terrible
X and Y got way too much backlash for being different, like Ruby and Sapphire and Black and White.
I remember people calling X and Y bad because Megas reminded them of Digimon. People just like to complain.
I hated x and y. I thought it was boring. Now that I’m replaying it. It honestly not bad. It was a great improvement. Love the battle system. Better then the current gen
Replayed x not to long ago got a random shiny tyrunt which made that playthrough for me
Fire edit 🔥
Thank you!!
I clicked like when you said how braindead they have to be to create a feature so amazing like megaevolution only to drop it forever
I love the use of Dokkan Battle osts. Good video man!
Pokemon Y was my first pokemon game and my favorite.
Now time for the undertale experience since you're a Gamer now
😭
Hell yeah undertale experience
