The reason Magneton didn’t go down to Hawlucha is because Flying Press is both Flying and Fighting, which made it resisted on Magneton.

So since fighting>Steel it’s 2x
But electric>flying it goes back to 0x
And steel>flying makes it 0.5x damage
So it ended up being resisted
I am pretty sure automatically the better option is selected

According to Bulbapedia (lol) Flying Press does neutral damage against steel types. I’m guessing it’s because Steel resists Flying type moves and FP is both flying and fighting simultaneously.

@@ZangoYT Flying press is flying and fighting and magneton is electrik and steel which both resist to flying but flying is only super effective against steel and neutral against electrik so the magneton takes x0,5 from flying press instead of x0,25.... I really can't explain 😂

So for Hawlucha’s flying press against Magneton. It’s a flying and fighting type move, so even tho fighting is super effective against Steel, flying is resisted by both Steel AND Electric (x.25 damage) so after doing all the type matchups it’s still resisted since electric resists flying and has neutral defense against fighting

Flying press is known as a fighting / flying type move only effective against fighting types. Its not very effective against rock or steel or ice types whatsoever. Although it's not half bad against a ground type like Mudsdale + dragon type pokemon.

On that first note of ash being around for 25 years
Kind of crazy because usually a character goes through a first phase where they go through multiple designs and a pilot design before changing it for the final episode. As a kid I always thought the pilot characters looked scary but with ash they nailed it. I don’t think he got a pilot design but his first design they used for the original first 2 seasons was perfect for audiences. Probably because reds design from the red and blue games bounced off of ash creating his first design and then multiple others
flying press is also a flying type move and magneton resists flying 4x so although hes bad to fighting the move was still resisted by 2x :)

Ash’s Pokemon’s are just built different, his 1 stage mons can beat 2 stage sometimes 3 stage mons. 😂😂😂

Also in order for Hawlucha to out speed any electric type pokemon you've gotta be at least 15 levels higher.
Pokemon X Y was the first Pokemon show I watched someone I was a child
Flying Press´s cacluator:
1. Fighting aspect: Super effective against Steel, Neutral to Electric
2. Flying aspect: Not very effective against Steel, Not very Effective against Electric
Super effective and one Not very effective cancel each other out. Neutral doesn´t matter in the calculation. In the end you have one Not very effective left.
Like and sub because you did the best Ash's version in Pokemon X that's worth it.
Flying press does both types of damage so I’m guessing it double resisted the flying half, and was weak to the fighting half leading to it being not very effective

I think your team should replace Noivern with a Lucario Korrina offers since she has another one.
First of all, Noivern received a lot of L's after evolving in the anime. Second, it's movesets are a bit weird. And lastly, Ash has a Flying type which is Talonflame so Lucario can help out as a sparring Fighting type.

Not my theory just something I saw
Alr the intro i have been rewatching the earlier seasons specifically Pokémon chronicles and all the math is not mathing misty even said in one of the episodes for the past few years or something like that and let’s also not forget we need to account when ash gets all his badges there is usually 1-3 months wait till the league of that region begins. Another fact is that ash’s companions dawn, may and Serena all got their Pokémon at the age 10 well we don’t rlly know about Serena but definitely for dawn and may and there is no way in hell ash went to three+ regions inless than a year until he met dawn and may. So I think since Kantō up to kilos ash has gotten a year older I think he was giving like 14-16 years old in kalos and also let me give another reason Clemont why would a gym leader go with two “alleged” 10 year olds on a journey cuz it’s sort of impossible to be that young of a gym leader. So yeah Kantō up to kalos ash for me got older but when alola and journeys hit the animation style changed and so did ash it made him look so young like compare these two to kalos ash and tell me who looks older. So yeah that’s my Pokémon timeline rant if I’m being completely honest ash should atleast be 16 years old
