OEM screen is 1,300 if the customer wants too pay for a new screen I’ll change it
@@bj_from_the478 la084x01-sl01 or SL02 is $300 to $450 depending where to order it from. Just trying to justify the savings and time. Video of the guy with lcd swap makes it look like 1, 2, 3 and done.
Is my brother's truck and we need to fix the lcd. Thanks
Ebay has a lq084x5lx01 for $200. That s the lcd screen with touch screen assembly
Where can I order the digitizer?
Your local dealership or Amazon
How do I know if I order right o e off Amazon
Did you use glue it back together
Sorry no glue is used on the new digitizer it will come with some double sided tape 👍🏿
Hey BJ do you make custom subwoofer box? I got a 2022 Dodge Charger Widebody and i want a nice custom box for 2 12 inch Audiopipe txx bdc2 12
I sure do hit me up tomorrow 478-262-9307
Hello great video, what is the factory part number that you referenced?
I have a contract with the dodger dealership too fix there cars so there OEM Parts that are given too me per vehicle the ones on Amazon will work just aswell just read the reviews before you order it. The key too make this thing work correctly is too make sure you perfectly clean the screen and get all the glue off 👍🏿
@@bj_from_the478 thank you. I ordered mine today. Fingers crossed she goes back together well. :). Thanks again.
@@onevisiononegoalonegod744 well if you need some pointers hit my line 478-262-9307 I’ll help 🤙🏽
Just so y’all know, the chip that’s located on the bezel, i broke mine and it didn’t break the digitizer or touch screen. I think it’s a thermometer for the automatic AC. Which that’s a horrible place to put it considering how hot the Uconnect screen gets.
Sir you should be able too solder that wire back too the bezel
what is that, wifi connection? @@bj_from_the478
Anybody know a place I can take my durango to in dc md VA area to pay to get this done? I don't trust myself to do this lol.
hello BJ I’m from Los angles can you please help me to do it ?
Sure if you want me too fix it just ship me your radio and I’ll fix it
@@bj_from_the478 and how long it takes you to finish everything?
@@bj_from_the478 How much is gonna be ?
uconnect sucks this is a recall , worst company is one that doesnt fix or pay for a problem that is theirs ,
Or you could spend a little over 200 and have one shipped from China. That is an upgraded part number.
Where are u located bro?
Macon Ga
Ima just get a whole new radio I already want the Tesla screen anyways
Why not put the digitizer back on?
Because a bad digitizer looks awful old and dirty
Also I’m cleaning the glue off the screen no the digitizer
@@bj_from_the478 I did this repair today actually, took out the unit, cleaned the glue off the touchscreen and digitizer then placed double sided tape in between the two on the black border around the digitizer. So far no ghost touching. Only costed me some goo gone spray and the tape. Used your video as inspiration as well.
@@vapesan666 greatly appreciated thanks glad it helped
How thick double sided tape did you use on the black boarder
Great video
Thanks
What did you use in between the lcd and digitizer?
You don’t have too use anything just clean it properly and install the new digitizer and your good
@@bj_from_the478 thanks 👍🏾 do you have a link as well to the one you use, tried looking up the number in the description it didn’t show anything
@@_.kvng.ky_1081so what your saying is just take off the original digitizer clean up the LCD screen and just slap the new one on with no glue or adhesive ?
If that’s the case why not just clean up the old digitizer and re-use it
@@americanpatriot8996 the new digitizer should come with the adhesive strips on the outer layer. if throwing the old one back on just use double sided clear gorilla tape. he has another video looks just like this showing him putting the same digitizer back on using gorilla tape on the putter layer
U in Atlanta lol I need mine did
I’m in Macon Ga
Did you go to him ?
@@BunnySTL na I ended up getting a whole new one off Facebook market for 300
🔥🔥💯💯💯
Thanks dude wish me luck!
Let me know how it turns out
Turned out great! It took forever to get that glue off but awesome thanks again!
why you cut the part when you put the new one???
Sorry about that check my channel out I have some updated version videos that maybe helpful
I did this and it lasted almost a year now doing it all over again this time I'm just replacing the entire unit...
You didn’t show putting the replacement screen on
Sorry I had too edit because I had some customers outside talking loud and there choice of works weren’t good so I apologize about that if you need technical support you call always reach out too me 🙏
Thanks.. did you replace the outside touch or just clean it.🙈 my English not will
I replaced the outside glass touch screen
Couldn't you just clean the glue off the old screen and reuse it ?
You can try it Butt a new one looks better
WD40 works wonders for glue removal.
Sure butt your not going too want too use any thing like that on a lcd screen prime example spray wd40 on you Tv screen in your house and let me know the outcome you’ll be in Best Buy tomorrow buying a new TV 😁 just be careful because that lcd screen is very sensitive and you can damage the screen 👍🏿
@@bj_from_the478 Why would I spray WD40 on a perfect working TV?
Can I send mines and pay you to fix it lol.
You sure can
I just bought a new screen for 200 online lol.
How do it turn out
Great, far less effort than this haha.
@@angryitalian3430 that’s what up
What site ?
I was just easier and cheaper to install the whole screen. Paid $115 on EBay.
I have new videos out about changing the lcd screen butt I made this video almost three years ago so the prices of the lcd has gone down tremendously 👍🏿
@@bj_from_the478 you are right. Prices have gone way down on these. Dealer 2 years ago wanted $1500 to install a new oem stereo.
90% rubbing alcohol worked really well to
You missing details bro
