Girl I used to be passionate about makeup for years until I gave up 2 years ago because I couldn't find great matches (fair olive skin), my foundation was constantly peeling, I struggled with my downturned, hooded eyes... basically having hardcore makeup challenges, that fewer people encounter, especially not all at once (yikes). But watching you has been a real makeup rebirth ! You reignited this passion for beauty ! I followed your advice, watched components of my base and makeup, bought Revlon Colorstay in Buff and my makeup has never looked better. I will soon buy other products you have recommended. Please never stop ! You are so lovely, trustworthy, you have an amazing goofy personality, you are so soft-spoken.. and you are changing lives ! All the way to France (hello !) you are changing how women are learning and doing their makeup, and making it a real source of curiosity, trial and FUN. Love ya
I trust your opinion so much, everything I've tried that you posted a review about i loved and some i still use to this day, would love if you could do an updated video on skincare products that you tried and do a comparison between ones you loved and helped your skin or eased breakouts vs ones you hated and found clogged pores or irritated/ caused acne but either way, anytime you post its my *relax" time ❤ sending lots of love and good vibes from Europe
Dude. I am so happy to see people talking about MOB. Like genuinely I haven't loved a makeup brand like this in years. I think you'd find their mascara heavy for your lashes, but I would LOVE to see you dive into more of their products. Specifically their cream bronzers/highlighters/eyeshadows. They are really compatible cream products even for oily skin. I haven't disliked a product from them yet!
Lisa Eldridge’s skin tint is THE BOMB! I’m a pale ass skin middle aged Celtic looking mama with sensitive skin and redness. I bought Lisa’s Seamless Skin Tint in T3 since she mentioned on her channel how well her neutral shades CANCEL REDNESS and IT DOES. I’ve only had it for a week but boy is it good! I look sooo healthy and youthful with it on! One negative thing I noticed: if you have large pores, you’re going to need a primer for sure. For ref, I also like Erborian CC cream (the silver tube) in Clair (light). Also, my shades in foundations are usually Light, Ivory or Porcelain. I hope this helps. 🤗
P.s.s Jasmine Sambac: The scent profile of jasmine sambac, also called arabian jasmine, is sweet, musky, and sultry. One of my favorite notes btw. I call it the "dirty Jasmine " 😄 because of its earthy, sensual smell. LOL
Hi queen are you planning on doing Sephora sale recs? You are one of the only creators I actually take recs from because we are both olive toned girlies 🤭
I tried Lisa Eldridge's skin tint in T5 Olive, and it's the first light coverage product I can use! It's actually olive (!), it doesn't accentuate my melasma, and it doesn't disintegrate by lunchtime! Bonus points for helping to cancel redness if my cheeks are flushed. I'm oily/combination & I use a heavy duty sunscreen, and it performs well with a little setting powder.
Snail mucin is great! It’s replaced my toner and other liquid moisturizers. I use the snail mucin then apply my day/night cream, use sun block when needed and that’s it.
That dual snail mucin serum is CRAZY GOOD I’m getting my second bottle. My skin has been rough ever since I got through the first bottle. It’s amazing.
i just got the Rimmel lip pencil in Cappuccino. i've been looking for the perfect brown lip liner for me. i have extremely fair, cool-toned olive skin but very dark cool-toned brown hair and dark eyes. my lips are pretty deep in colour with a purple undertone. so although i'm extremely fair i generally need to wear medium-valued colours on my lips just to get them to show up, and almost everything pulls orange on me, including most of the things on "best cool-toned colours" lists (including NYX nude truffle). first of all, Cappuccino is *my* brown. it's perfection. it reads as brown, not golden or orange at all, not pink, not grey (though i love a grey-toned anything because that's basically my skin tone). and the formula...it's like, i don't even feel it when it's on there. it goes on so smooth but it's not creamy. it's not waxy. it's just perfect. it goes on easily, blends easily, and then feels like nothing. i'm in love and want to buy about a million backups, especially since it seems like it's somewhat viral or at least has been in the not so distant past (i've been seeing it everywhere on socials) and so i had to look a lot of places to even find it and when i did it was backordered. I can't comment on the wear time but to be honest, when a product looks and feels this good i don't really care about the wear time so for me it's not an issue. i'm fine with reapplying, and also i find with lip products, my lips get dry as the day goes on anyway so even if they stay on my lips don't look great. also i find that a lot of the long-wearing formulas i try just feel really weird on the lips. my jam with makeup is when it doesn't feel like makeup in any kind of way, so this formula is perfect for me. and the colour.
It sounds like we are similar colors I'm also light olive leaning more cool tone with brown eyes and hair. My lips have a purplish tone but pale. Even though I'm light skin I find medium tones look better as well. It's probably the grayish tones. I can't wear light or pale lip colors or oils because my lips are so light.
I want it all please! The way you describe each item makes me want it even though it might not be the right shade for my skin tone! That perfume smells heavenly! I must have it! Loving the cherry earrings too! I got a pair from etsy last year and i definitely think it's time to start wearing them! Thanks for this video, lots of love from me in the UK 🇬🇧 🩷
Doooood, that Mob lipstick is gorgeous on you. I just started using the Cosrx Snail Mucin stuff and it replaced like half the stuff I used to use (Dr. Dray FTW!). Also, I love how Art Deco that perfume bottle is.
by any chance, have you tried it in the shade T1? My skin is pale with a cool undertone but I am afraid that T1 will be too light for me and I don’t want to look like a ghost… For reference I usually do like the cool and fairest tone in foundations but Huda’s FauxFilter concealer on the first shade is way too light for me😄
i love the r.e.m. beauty plumping lipgloss in "on your collar"!!! :) except for the applicator... but the gloss feels really really good and lasts a good amount of time.
Have been watching for a bit and just love your approach to selecting and applying your makeup. You should know that I'm 75 and haven't given up on looking my best. I have really good skin, if I do say so myself, and I love your look in this video. I've always been a "natural" kinda' girl so if you could do a video on this look and any other "natural" looks I know I'd love them. Thanks!
I love this background, it feels very fresh and inviting. I want to try the Lisa Eldridge skin tint but I can figure out which shade I would be. I definitely have to pick up the MOB Beauty lipstick, such a pretty color.
The look on your face while sharpening the pencil...totally adorbs. My Clio Kill Lash came this week and. I. LOVE. IT! I don't even need an eyelash curler, I just apply 2 thin coats and wow! So good to go. Thanks for these recommendation vids. Appreciate you!
I immediately bought the Prism highlighter after your last video you mentioned it from Yes Style. It’s now my favorite over the Pat McGrath highlighter.
I swear by the Cosrx advanced snail radiance dual essence as well ❤ I am now on my 4th or 5th one and they do last very long so it’s around a year of usage for me. Aside of how long it lasts, it’s simply that it does exactly what it says for me. Short term it really helps with the hydration level - my skin for sure feels the difference from when I wouldn’t use it. Importantly, after regular usage it does help even my skin tone out especially around nose and lips by diminishing some readness and dulness. Longer term it does help with fading out some smaller, lighter spots that pop up.
She actually has a video or two about her more unique jewellery pieces! Should be about an year old, if you scroll just a bit it’s gonna be there. Hope this helps!
I have the Lisa Eldridge skin tint in t4, true (cool) olive tone but it looks deeper than t3, and deeper than the 2,5 in the foundation. It may work for you for the summer but the tone is something I’ve never seen before, so olive! 🎉
There’s no question LE has done something new with this skin tint…it’s not oily and does have some coverage, but sadly it still doesn’t work that well for me and two drops is half of what I need which makes it supremely expensive. I’ll keep sheering down her regular foundation, just like she suggests, with a drop of moisturizer. For a skin tint, still nothing beats the Surratt skin tint for me.
Really enjoying your content… lots of very good makeup application vids, product suggestions, and educational tutorials… great job please keep em coming! ❤
Coincidentally, I just ordered this serum from Amazon. It will arrive tomorrow. I’m pleased that you recommend this as other items you’ve touted, I have loved as well! 👍🏼♥️
I would really love it if you did the best concealer shades for fair to light olive skin tones! Your olive foundation video was perfection and now I need your help with concealer shades lol please and thank you!!
Also agree about Lisa Eldridge skin tint- like it better than the foundation- though my Sister in law is obsessed with the foundation! LE - I’m 20.5 in the foundation and number 10 in the skin tint is quite good. 12 is a little warm but still Wearable.
I love the Patrick Ta blushes! The one I have has serious pigment, so I have to go easy when I use it. I think it's She's a Doll....the hot pink one. The one you showed looks nice as well.
I love the lipstick that your wearing at the very beginning of the video what is it & which lip liner. I'm also a light olive but leaning more cool toned.
Hi Alex! I thought the blue background complemented your skin tone very well. And I felt blotting the lip shade from Mobbeauty made the color even more becoming on you than adding instensity. I like to ask something also. There was a makeup cleansing balm you had mentioned in one of the videos that you like as much as the Farmacy one. Would you let me know what brand it is and if there are other balms you would highly recommend when double cleaning ? Thank you, and hope to hear from you.😊
Hi Alex, could you please do a tutorial for “mature” lips. I have upper lip wrinkles and find that even with lip liners any lipsticks that I wear ends up smudged and bleeding into fine lines. Thank you. Love your channel❤❤❤❤
I know you just swatched your olive foundations. I would love to see Lisa's 2.5 next to the About Face. I was also wondering how sheered out they could be; I find the Revlon too heavy and a bit too dark.
Ugh you make me want to try the Ce Noir so badly but i only see full bottles online for $160. No samples and you're right, buying a perfume without trying it is a little wild!
Try the Kiss Impress preglued under lashes! They're similar to the Ardell ones but way way better and if you'd prefer you can get quite a few wears out of each piece.
alex can you please do a video on what shade/undertone of bronzer to use for your skintone, i have so many bronzers and especially with summer coming up a video would help ☹️🙏
Oh, and the LE skin tint is my newest obsession along with her eyeliner, which is incredible! Her recommendation to use the Skin Tint as a concealer is absolutely the bomb for us older dames!
Can I ask what shade you got? I’m trying to know whether T1 will be too light for me, but I have cool pale skin and T4 (the next cool tone) looks a little dark for me😅
I got T3. It’s build able sheer so you could probably fit into a few shades. I would check out her channel as she demonstrates different shades on herself
I have been buying and trying skin tints and foundations for years. Trying to find one that doesn't settle into my aging skin. 68 now🤯 I purchased Lisa's new skin tint the day it came out. WOW...FANTASTIC! Finally found my match ❤
You've made me so excited to try the LE tint, i've been trying to decide between that and the original foundation but I fully feel like the tint is the way now. Have you thought about trying YSL's lash clash in the new waterproof version? I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts
2:58am Eastern I literally want to buy everything you mention. Because everything is exactly what I have been searching for. Ulta and Sephora, Merit, Lisa, they’re loving me💖💖💖 You’re gorgeous, and I adore your videos 🤗
hiii Alex, could you maybe find a dupe for the nyx lipliner in nude beige? they changed the color so now it’s basically pink… nude beige was my perfect color, i’m devastated!!! 😩😩😩
As someone who wasn't sure if I truly had olive undertones, I took the plunge and got the lisa eldridge skin tint in t5 and it has been an absolute surprise and a DREAM. after watching your livestream and her launch video i was like f it let's try. Everything about it is perfect. Love you and lisa eldridge forever for everything you both have taught me
If you could put the product name in the bottom corner when you’re talking about it, that’d be great! I sometimes get like a minute or two into you talking about a product when I want to look it up, but then I have to go back and try to figure out when you said the name of it. This isn’t a problem when it’s ones that don’t have the commissions pop up or whatever it’s called, but it is on the rest of them.
I just bought the Givenchy prisme Libre. I bought the one you loved loving it. I bought the selena gomez high light blush so nice one I bought the Cheer one, done things. I bought the this old I never bought it but I bought the dior backstage I never bought it because they never had it at my store so happy. I just wanted this foundation for years.
Hi Alex, love this video. I have been searching through lots your video's lookong for the particular kill lash you use. There are 4 different ones. Is it the long curling or the volume curling? Thankyou in advance. ❤
Ha! I feel EXACTLY the same way about my CosRX serum. If my skin could talk I think it would sigh with relief then thank me when I put it on. It soaks into my skin so quickly and moisturisers can do their best work on top of it. It's a dream and not too spenny (expensive). Current favourite skin brand. Love it.
@@Vee_of_the_Weald you're very welcome, I'm UK too, been using the impress ones for ages, they stay on really well too.... i found cheap ones on vinted too, brand new just damaged boxes so super cheap... worth a look 🙃
For everyone who hated my other background...we're back in the void 🥲 That blue halo is pretty tho 🩵 P.s. Tell me what ur loving pleeeeeez k thank u
The blue is very pretty
i loved it 😭
I loved it, but its hard to compete against this gorgeous baby blue void.
like a spring sky 💙
This background with the shirt gives Easter vibes. 🩵🤍
Could you please please please do an “ on set” makeup look. Something that looks good when you’re on camera?
Why did I think you meant Dr Dre instead of Dr Dray… I was like damn, even he got into skincare lmao oops

I love the CosRX snail stuff! It makes skin super smooth
It really is magical stuff. If I have irritation, or a stubborn zit, voila! Gone by morning.
Is it for oily skin too?
I LOVE the cherry earrings.
Loving the blue background. It is so flattering for your colouring .
I can’t get over your earrings so much!!!! I can’t stop looking at them. They are perfect.

hiii Alex, could you maybe find a dupe for the nyx lipliner in nude beige? they changed the color so now it’s basically pink… nude beige was my perfect color, i’m devastated!!! 😩😩😩
As someone who wasn't sure if I truly had olive undertones, I took the plunge and got the lisa eldridge skin tint in t5 and it has been an absolute surprise and a DREAM. after watching your livestream and her launch video i was like f it let's try. Everything about it is perfect. Love you and lisa eldridge forever for everything you both have taught me
Love the blue halo❤
Love the LE tint!
I still have some ancient Becca setting powders that I use as bronzer. RIP Becca. The best.
What nails are you wearing? So pretty! Do you have a link to find them?
How cute the cherries are😭😭i love it😍😍🥹😭
Nails. Let’s talk about your gorgeous nails!!! I do Kiss glue press ons. Are those press ons?
If you could put the product name in the bottom corner when you’re talking about it, that’d be great! I sometimes get like a minute or two into you talking about a product when I want to look it up, but then I have to go back and try to figure out when you said the name of it. This isn’t a problem when it’s ones that don’t have the commissions pop up or whatever it’s called, but it is on the rest of them.
Agreed.
I was looking for the scent you talked about but it wasn’t listed
Hi Alex, love this video. I have been searching through lots your video's lookong for the particular kill lash you use. There are 4 different ones. Is it the long curling or the volume curling? Thankyou in advance. ❤
I loved the void! You popped against all the beautiful void colors you choose! lol.....where did you get the cherry earrings? LOVE!
these earrings 10/10
Thank you for the ASMR pencil sharpening sound, Alex! LOL 😄
I tend to use wooden eye liner pencils rather than lip pencils, though.
Love it.
Right?? It just helps everything be more moisturizing without breaking me out!
Kiss impress lashes are the same as those lashes.... so quick & easy 💞
Oh thanks. I’ll have a look for these as I cannot seem to find the Ardell ones she mentioned. (I’m in the UK, might be why)
@@Vee_of_the_Weald you're very welcome, I'm UK too, been using the impress ones for ages, they stay on really well too.... i found cheap ones on vinted too, brand new just damaged boxes so super cheap... worth a look 🙃
Alex try out Kiss Impress lashes, the same thing as Ardell but it seems to me that the Kiss ones are better 😁
I thought it was the iconic Dior rose blush, did you tried it? Idk about the new formula but the older version was very similar.
