Yeah I have a 2080ti and moved to the 4090. But still, the 2080ti wasn't cheap and holds up for most games at higher frame rates. Sadly this game just has too much going on cpu side with async ray tracing and AI pathing, and openworks elements. It's alot. The AI was poorly executed too. Like it feels as generic as most SP ai so for the performance hit I just scratch my head like. Wow. Really. I run a 9900k tho so I get 80 90 down to 40 fps and everywhere in between on med to low 2k settings. Straight bunk, thanks game pass. Saved me a headache.
Just a note - Your mic is so bass boosted that I tried watching this on my TV and everything you said was so bassy that it was almost impossible to keep watching. Highly recommend turning the bass back to normal on your microphone.
Not saying there aren't massive performance issues with the game but I'm happily surprised that I personally haven't encountered any. Playing on a 7800 xt on 1440p with epic settings and it's been running great.
Who cares about FPS when this gas a lot of UE5 traversal stutters. When gamers will stop support unoptimized garbage. Especially when we are talking about UE5.
I have a ryzen 9 3900x, 32gb of ram, rx 6700xt, and the game is running on an nvme. I play the game at 1400p high settings. FSR Frame Generation On and FSR set to Balanced. Runs great ! I also stream it to my steam deck using moonlight and sunshine. 😁
I dont feel much different with FSR on or off with input latency, rather have almost everything on epic with fsr3 on than everything look crappy with the same if not worse feeling of lag.
Idk I have a ryzen 5700x (so a worse CPU than you) but a 4070 which is similar to the TI, the biggest issue with input lag is to go to nexus mods and get the script to add to the input.ini that disables mouse smoothing and mouse acceleration, that will help with the input lag. In terms of performance, out in the zone I hit 90-120 fps on epic textures, high everything except medium shadows, DLSS quality with frame generation (i know FG isn't working well for most but its needed to stabilize fps) I just want to test whether or not FSR will give me a clearer image. Using upscaling on 1080p sucks bc the res is too low, only a few games I've played ever get it right. DLSS on 1440p is way better esp if you are used to 1080p. I am at 102 fov right now as well. TLDR: The biggest hitches I experience are in the town hubs (I drop to 60-70 fps) but I pray this weeks patch fixes these issues.

Yep, frame gen feels like cheeks, its also meant to be used if you can stay above 60 fps natively, the higher your base FPS the lower the input latency. I would reccomend using a controller if you use frame gen as it feels better with highet input latencies than KBM does.
I honestly not sure the worst fps area is the best area to test. I have a 5800x3d, 32gb and 3080. I’m using epic across the board but I’ve turned motion blur off, boost on and dlss is set to quality. 1440p. In that town I get 40-55 and in the wild depending on where, I get 60 to 90. Game looks great. I am also quitting the game and restarting my PC. It is all over the place in terms of FPS though and hopefully gets better. I liked grey zone but stopped playing it due to the performance issues. Either stupid low fps or a blur
The solution for me with the 3070 and ryzen 7 3600 was to put DLSS to balanced with FSR FG. All other Settings are between high and epic. only Global Illumination and Sight distance on medium. This was the best result in optic and performance. Sharpness between 40-60%
I already know this is an amazing game, but my 3050 can barely run it at 1080p, even with the newest updates. The advice here did help a bit! But I can't really get anything more than 50 fps with blurry potato graphics. No issues running any other recent games, really hoping GSC will release some patches soon. Didn't expect a perfect launch, but I'm envious of everyone getting to have a blast already lol.

Every so called YT expert miss the point about Frame Gen and input latency. That being if you get good frames already urning on FG only adds a slight bit of input latency, infact its barely noticeable on a single player game. Turn FG on when your struggling for frames does infact introduce a lot of input lag. This guy is struggling for frames hence why FG makes it super laggy.
I have an i9 12900K, 4080 Super and 32Gb of ram and run everything at Epic at 1440p with dlls quality and dlls frame generation and average about 130fps, but is really annoyed by the microstuttering in the game
This is wild - I'm playing on a mid-range PC with a 3080, on 1440p - and I'm getting 110 fps on Epic settings. I just turned frame generation on and hair quality to medium. Don't understand how people are having such a worse experience
It's no CS though! The input lateny isn't a dealbreaker to me. Frame generation is a real savior and is the only way anyone can get over 100fps and when you see double the frames, the choppy stuttering is a lot less noticable even with input latency. It was a godsend for Dragon's Dogma 2, It will be here too
I "like" how some streamers and content makers are saying something like "devs will fix this and this and that". Probably they just don't know GSC at all. Someday mods will fix the major issues, thats it. Look up for licence agreement, that you sign, there is something like that: "GSC does not garant that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will work fine or error free, that defects will be fixed, or that the game will be free of viruses or other harmful components." Cmon grills
I wonder why it performs so well for me. I have a 5800X3D paired with a 7900XT and I get >70 fps in the first big town without frame gen, and over 110 fps with frame gen. Outside that town I am getting over 90 fps without frame gen and over 144 fps with frame gen. The latency hit is noticeable but makes the game feel similar to Stalker Gamma which I play at 72 fps with motion blur on due to how good that mods blur is. It almost seems like intel/nvidia weren't optimised as well.
thats weird... i got a 7900xt paired with a 7 7700x and it runs just like you said. the latest driver does not even support the game as far as i know? i am wondering how it runs with the next driver

It is a game I really really want to play. I've waited so long for this day!!! Only to have my dream crushed from how bad it runs even at low settings.
3060 ti i5-12400f 32 ram.
All settings high, 2k rez.
Fps 55-40. No frame gen.
With frame gen 60+ not dropping below. Having a blast.
I have a 3070. Can I do frame gen?
@@CleetusBuckwalteryes but don't use it. Your game will look smooth but feel slow
i have the same specs (3070 instead) and im getting terrible frame drops. like atm, everytime i load in im getting like 2 fps
5800X, 32GB RAM, RTX3080, M2.SSD - Terrible performance. Everything sluggish, 30-60FPS but extreme drops every second.
3060 ti
ryzen 5 3600
16 gb ram
45 fps on lowest settings fullhd
This video is very helpful. Thank you so much.😁
Just a note - Your mic is so bass boosted that I tried watching this on my TV and everything you said was so bassy that it was almost impossible to keep watching. Highly recommend turning the bass back to normal on your microphone.
The biggest gain I've found is turning you foliage on low. Gave me 25+ frames per second.
thanks man!👍
8 mins video "best optimization guide" to tell u to go low settings and high textures.
dawg cmon
The upscaling makes the game looks like a blurry mess, no upscaling makes it look worse than fucking stalker 1, man fuck UE5
helped a little, thanks
why your 3080ti draw only 200w? mine eats 350w
What's considered a really good cpu?
9800X3D
Not saying there aren't massive performance issues with the game but I'm happily surprised that I personally haven't encountered any. Playing on a 7800 xt on 1440p with epic settings and it's been running great.
OK I have a i9cpu an a 3080 what would be the best settings
Who cares about FPS when this gas a lot of UE5 traversal stutters. When gamers will stop support unoptimized garbage. Especially when we are talking about UE5.
This game ran better on my Xbox than my pc
The game is so baely optimized❤
i9 9900K and 4070S 1440p. How should the game be running? I have some serious performance problems
bro must have sampled his voice from the provoked prawn
Try lossless scaling, for me 2x helps a lot without feeling insane input latency.
Honestly whenever they open mod support I’m sure modders will fix a lot of the issues before the devs do…it’s always like that!
I dont feel much different with FSR on or off with input latency, rather have almost everything on epic with fsr3 on than everything look crappy with the same if not worse feeling of lag.
Even my 4090 and 5800X3D struggles to keep a stable 50 to 60 inside towns.
I just made actual INPUT LAG FIX video so you might wanna check it out, not spamming just trying to help cuz game is good but UE5 is, no comment...
@@iROHxo UE5 was NOT READY for mass release. I get its easy to use, but devs CANNOT use AI as a crutch to fake performance. I would rather 10 more years of UE4 games TBH
@@turnedagainst yeah, If you are not new to the gaming you know that UE always had issues with stutter and performance, usually it gets better at later stages of the version like now for example 5.7 pretty good and I think eventually stalker 2 will be upgraded as well, if so UE 5.7 will be much bigger improvement than now or anything on ue4, Nanite and Lumin got a lot of improvements since 5.1.
UE5 has been known to totally ignore your texture settings and buffers everything according to the size of your vram.
Bros are literally fighting a real-life war and people are complaining about the game not being optimized
14900+4090, the application exit on me says out of video memory on shader building, can't even enter the menu at all
This was before the patch. You get way higher fps now.
My current build is a Ryzen 5 5600x with the RX 5600xt gpu and I am sitting at high 90's if not maxed on gpu utilization on bottom of the barrel settings, and literally less than 50% utilization on my cpu and getting 14fps.... everyone else is having cpu issues and im just here like... ugh
Thanks man my is a ryzen 5600G. It runs ok, but the recommendation I should be able to play it.
Yep, frame gen feels like cheeks, its also meant to be used if you can stay above 60 fps natively, the higher your base FPS the lower the input latency.
I would reccomend using a controller if you use frame gen as it feels better with highet input latencies than KBM does.
I have a 4070 ti and having v sync on actually stopped a lot of stuttering compared to DLSS frame gen I got the game running at 2k pretty decent now
I honestly not sure the worst fps area is the best area to test. Either stupid low fps or a blur
very good video thanks!
First of all, update your Nvidia drivers to 566!!!
This video took me from running 40 frames all the way up to 120 consistent frames
I think it's a lottery. My pc with dlss quality on 1080p and high settings doesn't go lower than 85fps.
now i see that my ryzen 5600x is not worse than I9 in some cases 💀
I get a constant 90+ fps with high settings on a 3060ti 32 gb ram and ryzen 5 5500x. One cut scene so far dropped to 40 fps so far. This is more than smooth enough to play imo.
i've the same but with a better cpu (5800x3d) and i've yet to hit 70 fps without framegen.
Makes me think its just not optimized.
What cpu would you recommend?
I am trying to make a review video about this game, but it keeps going from 70-80 fps down to 17 frequently
Why is your DLSS FG turned off?
İ have almost zero input lag (3 or 4 ms at max),, you just need Amd radeon anti lag with radeon fluid motion frames which comes with the Adrenaline software
My gpu is a cheap 7800xt cpu is 7700 i am getting 170 fps without fsr or dlss at epic, frame generation and fluid motion frames do the thing and always below 5 ms
İ have another computer with 4080 super and lag is horrible , always above 10 ms, for this game i prefer my cheaper system with Radeon
Cheers i use 1440p
Goddam the input lag is something else man
Don't use frame gen and look for a guide to disable mouse smoothing, with those 2 it made it dramatically more enjoyable for me.
Should we wait for a patch before playing it? The sacrifice to play it well even with a powerful system seems too annoying.
It’s definitely worth it, the performance is forgivable when you see what’s going on in this game.
@@wither2654 no.. it's not lol
@@LoFighGaming I know it could be better but there’s optimization mods that fix the game’s performance on nexus. My game is running like call of duty now and I only have a 3070.
@@wither2654 you downloaded optimization mods for Stalker 2 on Nexus?
Every so called YT expert miss the point about Frame Gen and input latency.
That being if you get good frames already urning on FG only adds a slight bit of input latency, infact its barely noticeable on a single player game.
Turn FG on when your struggling for frames does infact introduce a lot of input lag.
This guy is struggling for frames hence why FG makes it super laggy.
I have an i9 12900K, 4080 Super and 32Gb of ram and run everything at Epic at 1440p with dlls quality and dlls frame generation and average about 130fps, but is really annoyed by the microstuttering in the game
1440p 3080ti and u set it to low with DLSS performance, dont get 60fps, u should just end the video there.
i7700k and 3070ti here, with all low settings + frame gen, I get about 117 fps on 2k.
Wait what?
This is wild - I'm playing on a mid-range PC with a 3080, on 1440p - and I'm getting 110 fps on Epic settings. I just turned frame generation on and hair quality to medium. Don't understand how people are having such a worse experience
Bro... 3080 is not mid range...
@ my bad, I’ve just been conditioned to think all other rigs are better than mine
@@noXeFonice unfortunately it is
3080ti 50 to 35 fps i9000k cpu 😢
Ingame settings set to medium > Locked the frames to 30 > running Lossless Scaling at x3 = 90 stable frames
10 decades of input lag
@@TheWeeky Yes I've seen some say they got it with m/k, and some dont't.
I'm playing with a controller and dont notice any input lag.
It's no CS though! The input lateny isn't a dealbreaker to me. Frame generation is a real savior and is the only way anyone can get over 100fps and when you see double the frames, the choppy stuttering is a lot less noticable even with input latency. It was a godsend for Dragon's Dogma 2, It will be here too
My game is at 60FPS and constantly crashes 💀
Running very bad in 2k on my R7 5700x OC to 4.95 with 32RAM and RTX3080. Unplayable.
You need to disable RTX if you have it on. It will murder your performance.
My pc meets the right recommendations and I could barely load the first cutscene it was at like 5 fps
Same, also it has moments when it played fine and then boom 3fps
have you updated to latest gfx drivers?
I will give it a try thanks
the mighty 3080ti reduced to 40 fps on low settings that game is a mess 😵💫
man, as I can see from your overlay ,you are not using the latest nvidia driver which was relesed with the game, I think this can be the issue
great content as always
I think I will be unable to play as my config is ryzen 5 5600g with rx 6600 and ram 16gigs at 1080p resolution if yes please provide me with the best settings available
I have a 1070 what graphic quality is best?
Don’t even bother wtf 😂😂😂😂
Graphics Preset "Refund"
I found the if your cpu is stronger than your graphics card, you should you Xess if you have and intel cpu
The game runs like shit on pc ans console
Great vid thank you
Running the game at a mixture of medium and Low settings with the GTX 1660 TI, FSR 3 set to ''Quality'' and Frame gen is on. I am getting 100Avg Fps at 1080P, sometimes drops down to 72fps
But nonetheless, I am having a blast. i am not really annoyed by the Input delay, I tried it on and off, not much input delay that would ruin the game for me, or make me play it at 40 FPS avg instead
Does anyone have a problem when pressing ESCAPE, my screen is jumping with stripes!?
Any help?
